Seems to me the gauges for either one dont mean theyll be similar on either speaker. So Stanmore is clearer with bass which drowns it out so you'd need to turn it to a higher % to equal the clarity of the acton at 50%. But overall the stanmore has a fuller sound and the acton is clearer with less bass. Any time you hear more instruments and more bass its got to be a step up. Just turn up the treble for clarity.

Not sure if a fair comparison but I'm torn between the Jbl charge 5 and Acton 3. Heard then in person at the mall, but just to make sure which of these are better for POP music and good bass? I mostly listen to Taylor Swift.
The Acton III is going to be producing a lot fuller sound than the Charge 5. Maybe the Xtreme3 would be a better comparison. Or for a budget - the Tribit Blast or Soundcore Motion Boom + are good.
@@DannyPops we don't have tribit or soundcore in India. Difficult to find. JBL, Bose and Marshall are easily available to check. Hence wanted to just be sure on what would be a better purchase.
Marshall’s sound signature is a lot better than JBL imo. Also, acton is not portable, it needs constant power supply. On the other hand JBL charge is portable. So you can purchase according to your need..

@@DannyPops Hi Danny, did you notice a sound difference between using the aux cable instead of the bluetooth for both the Acton and Stanmore or it doesn't really make a difference due to the bluetooth version 5.2.
It really depends on your volume level. I keep mine at a low level (it's in my home office) and have the bass set at 8 and the treble at 10. There are 11 settings for each. I also have my speaker connected to my PC and use Equalizer APO/Peace GUI on Windows to adjust sound. I find that the higher treble gives the speaker a very nice airyness that it doesn't have at lower settings and if you set the bass too high it can begin to distort, even at low volumes.
Thank you for the contents!! I am trying to figure out if I can buy two of the Acton to use as surrounding speaker through aux connection for my MacBook set up but I cna't really see anyone uses them like that. Can I use them like that? and how did you connect both of the speaker in your labtop?? thank you!!!
I'm thinking a 50 for bass and 50 for treble are not the same when comparing. So even though it sounds less clear it does have fuller sound maybe he needs to turn it to 70 to be equal in clarity with the acton.
The prices of both seem to have come down a bit now in the UK, the acton £150 Stanwell 240. I thought the Stanmore sounded more boxy Boomi, but it did have a lot more base. I’m looking for a speaker to play with my new turntable, as a second system. I’m also hoping to plug my laptop in as well, and the beauty about the Stanmore is that it has two auxiliary in sockets. I believe it has a set of RCA’s on the back, and a 3.5 Jack. It’s a shame, as Marshall do not appear to do speakers that can do Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Though I suppose you could plug an AirPlay adapter into it. I’m also thinking of getting one of the portable ones I think it’s called the Tufton? But I can’t find one anywhere in the UK.
why in all photos and videos metal details looks like yellow brass, but in real life they looks like pink gold???! and leather's cream color is more white

Hi Danny...awesome review....ACTON 3 is currently 299 ( Canadian ) ... 215 ( US ) .....stanmore 3 399 ( canadian ) 290 ( USD ).....would you say thats a great deal and worth the money ? thx bud....cheers from Canada
Thanks for the comparison. Tell me please, does the cream version get dirty or easy to clean?
I have the Woburn 1 and thus stanmore iii in cream and haven't noticed a lot of marks. In terms of cleaning them it'd be like cleaning a pleather car seat I'm guessing... I haven't cleaned them much.
They are coated in 'vegan leather' - just a soft cloth with some water should easily clean them.
I wouldn't mind spending a bit more on Acton 3 since I'll also be getting a discount from Marshall but wouldn't want to spend much on the charge 5. Hence wanted to just be sure on what would be a better purchase.
Marshall’s sound signature is a lot better than JBL imo. Also, acton is not portable, it needs constant power supply. On the other hand JBL charge is portable. So you can purchase according to your need..
How do they work with a Bluetooth turntable?
Danny I have the option to buy either the Stanmore 2 or the Acton 3 - the kicker is the Stanmore is on sale, so is actually cheaper than the Acton! Do you have a recommendation on that basis?
Am in the same boat I think the Stanmore 2 is better value with more bass
Hey, I’m wondering if I should get the Acton 3 or Stanmore 3. I have discount and it will only a 67$ difference for the Stanmore.
Acton comes out to 207.83
Stanmore comes out 274.94
Which one should I get.
Which one did u end up getting?
@@karthikchandra3079 I bought both, both were very impressive. I think the Acton is very impressive for its size and it’s loud. Kept the Stanmore and returned the Acton bc of its size. Has more presentation and a little more base. They are almost identical in performance.
Ieri am dat comanda pentru Acton 3. Azi trebuie sa ajunga. 310 $ costa la noi.
Techno song name please
what's the brand of the aux cables that you used to plug into these 2 amazing speakers?
amzn.to/3Pl11RT (affiliate) while I couldn't find the original cables, this appears to be the exact same 3.5mm (the ones in the video came with the purchase of my original marshall 1 series speakers)
@@DannyPops thanks Danny 😁👍
@@DannyPops Hi Danny, did you notice a sound difference between using the aux cable instead of the bluetooth for both the Acton and Stanmore or it doesn't really make a difference due to the bluetooth version 5.2.
What is the best setting to have with Acton 3? With the treble bass and voice settings I mean. I'm looking for good clarity and better bass too.
I just keep mine centered on treble and bass.
For me it works best Bass 6 and Treble 8, around mid to high volume. Also depends on the music you listen to and other eq's etc. Cheers!
Ho acquistato lo stanmore 3 ...🎉
I bought the Stanmore III just for the bigger look. Ill buy the Acton III also
I am new here and I hit subscribe because your presentation is awesome.
Spend the extra money and get the Woburn III…it’s worth it
Can I borrow 200$?
If I am trying to play a lossless music from Apple Music. Which one of them can play that?
Either through Bluetooth or wired?
lossless only happens vai cable. Bluetooth is always a bit compressed. So both, as long as you have a cable.
@@marshall_forrest How can play lossless if I have a cable? Can you help me with that, please?
@@allmypicturesofu just connect it with 3.5mm audio jack
Song name??
acton 3 is very good
Go Xtra Large! WOBURN III! Those speakers aren't portable so size definitely doesn't matter. Plus stanmore's bass just doesn't sound right.
Stanmore sounds more “live”
Have the Stanmore iii it's amazing
Song was play in video name plz

Does this speaker support lc3 codec...
It does support it. But LC3 won't be out for a indefinite period of time.
Does anyone feel that the stanmore has less shapness..
I'm thinking a 50 for bass and 50 for treble are not the same when comparing. So even though it sounds less clear it does have fuller sound maybe he needs to turn it to 70 to be equal in clarity with the acton.

your voice is so pleasant
Hear this with my Kilburn II.

That lil one packs a punch. I like that 💯

The Stanmore sounds better overall.
why in all photos and videos metal details looks like yellow brass, but in real life they looks like pink gold???! and leather's cream color is more white
The sample music is excellent though haha
I love all these comparison sound videos but god please choose better music
If you'll give me money for the rights I will gladly accept. This is all royalty free.
Louder is not better. Stanmore sounds better but definitely less louder than the Acton.
