I don't even own a Ford but do remember the US government bailed GM out not Ford. I own a Camry with over 250k miles on it with no problems more than I can say for a GM product so I believe your criticism is leaning on Ford a wee bit too much in my mind.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  ปีที่แล้ว +59

Ford refused free money. To me that doesn’t make them better, just stupid. I pick on GM but GM fans don’t cry like Ford fans so it’s no fun. I blame the government for the bailout, not who benefits from it.

I call it like I see it. The Ford fans laugh at everyone one else but cannot handle criticism of their brand.

@@vehcor I have noticed over the years once a GM fan forever a GM fan. As I stated earlier I don't own a Ford maybe I just like to stand up to bullies regardless of what brand they use.

No Ford didn't take the bail out money when all of them were hearting and went to the govt for money, but Ford has accepted money from them at other times. The other thing they did do was a split on stock while lowered the price, people flocked to buy while it was extremely cheap. Not sure where it's at currently but it's worth way more than it once was.
Personally I don't like the brand due to previous issues on trucks I've owned over the years.
Don't really care for Dodge, sure there's a couple vehicles I'd own if I had a chance. But personally I'd go with GMC on trucks and probably Buick on a car if I were to own a car. But with health issues I try to avoid cars seeings how they are harder for me to get out of. With trucks you can just fall out if need be.
Once again another awesome video. It amazes me that no matter the make or brand you wizz through them like it's nothing but that's mostly all you've done all your life.
I'd never be afraid to drive anything you've worked on.
Mr Spotty only shows up for the money or what little you'll let him have. According to some you don't make money on these vehicles. You're smart enough you know if you'll make money on it before you buy it. Keep up the awesome work.

My 91 Nissan Sentra was still running strong and not using any oil when it got parked at 395,000 miles. It needed struts, AC repair and a paint job. The estimate for the paint job was more than the car was worth. The struts were almost as much as the car was worth. I wish I had fixed it anyway because it was so much better built than any new car that I've seen since 2000.

Those engine mounts are supposed to break. They save the engine from breaking, but mostly designed as part of the crumple zone, so they really are built Ford Tough. They did as they were designed.
It's also the reason they can randomly break because of the built-in weak spot.

After 37yrs in the industry I've paid for it with two rotator cuff repairs and permanent nerve damage to my hands, but I wouldn't go back and change a thing, had a lot of fun and got to play with fire, paint things and tear shit up and made a ton of money to do it. Great videos and skills as usual.

I find it quite amazing -- the amount of damage hitting a deer can do. I hit one at 50 mph and thought I could just slap on some sheet metal and a bumper cover and a headlight and a washer bottle and an air box and a steering fluid reservoir and a core support and use some washers to make it all "fit" ... front end still crooked asf. Can't avoid the much needed upper apron work. Now I wish I'd done it your way three years ago! 😪

You should have put a new water pump on with such easy access with the fender off. When they go bad, they leak into the engine and ruin it. That's probably what happened with the parts cars and why it was totaled. It's kinda a big job as you have to take the timing cover off. Another better idea from Ford.

I noticed someone who seems to love Ford but drives a Camry getting on to you about your Ford jabs. You roast GM as well so it's all good. I will say I had a choice to rebuild a 2008 Taurus X or a Acadia, Enclave, or Traverse, Acadia

Can you hit a Deere so hard it cracks the block of the engine and it gets ruined .

Yes, Hondas were known to crack blocks in relatively minor crashes. Most insurance companies totaled the cars and sent them to auction. They ran and drove, so buyers had to find out the hard way.
