Watching Scott work has almost caused me to have delusions of adequacy, but for now I'm sticking with mechanical fixes. I can't afford to drive $350 trucks if I don't do the work myself. Pine Hollow Diagnostics has helped me with electrical issues that I would have shied away from in the past.
You know why I love this channel, you rebuild stuff we all can afford, not some 5000k super car junker..Id rather watch this ALL day long, I thank you!
I hate to be that guy but I would've made it cosmetically decent and used it as my daily with that kind of mileage. I love these affordable car rebuilds. Sure it's cool to see someone fix a wrecked Ferrari but these everyday attainable cars seem more satisfying since most people can afford them.
So many people would have chained that to a light pole and yanked that out as much as 10 mins would get them then run down Lowes and get 'em some drywall mud and caked it all in there. I'm sure I speak for a lot of folks who don't chime in when I say how much we appreciate your work ethic and your workmanship. That colorful narration is pretty cool too! THANKS! keep em coming.
Had a jam packed day. Heaters, boilers and cold oh my. All hell broke loose on a Friday. So I am getting my dosage of thee best channel to watch. Scott thank you so very much for the small glimpse of a day in life of yours. Stay safe and be well.
Outstanding rebuild Scott! I bought the 2002 version of this car brand new. I drove it to work every day for ten years! Then even though I had bought a brand new Accord I still kept it for another five years! Still running great at the time but since I was insuring 3 cars and could only drive one at a time I regretfully sold it! It was a great car! I am looking forward to seeing you finish up this Civic and give it a new lease on life!
I like watching the Honda rebuilds. I've been a customer of theirs since 1981 (Civic 1500GL), and although I have a fleet of cars these days, two of them are Hondas, and those are the ones that get driven most often.
I always know your rebuilds are going to be as good as new (or better). Very therapeutic to watch it all come together. Who ever buys them is getting a well sorted car.
You got mine beat. I have 2007 civic Si sedan too. Bought it used in 2010 with 35998 miles on it sitting in a Honda dealer showroom. Today as if this comment, I still have it. Modified and been supercharged since 2017. Car only has 74XXX miles. Car is was a daily for the first few years of ownership. Then show car. And finally track only as of 2018. She’s going turbo in 2023.
Just another great beginning of a bill. Can’t tell you how much I enjoy your channel. By the looks of it most of the comments everybody else is saying. I guess that’s what you get when you do the best work. See you in the next installment.
It's sad to see how many insurance companies will write off an older vehicle like this simply because in their eyes the payoff isn't worth the money input. We ran into it years ago with my parents really sweet 72 D100 that someone stopped in front of - all it needed was the radiator and support, but because it was over 10 years old at the time, they totaled it instead of having the front end pieces (that were plentiful in our area) replaced. I'm glad to see people like Scott take the time to restore these vehicles and get them back out on the road! If we had someone like Scott in our area, chances are the truck would still be on the road today since it had been babied all of its life.
That Honda is hammered. A very expensive repair bill at a body shop. Scott has the edge of his labor and his ability to source parts off parts cars for little $.
i got just got my hands on a 67k original engine/ clean title 2003 honda accord v6. i wouldn't mind doing a walkaround video of it for you man. this SI is a beauty
Glad to see you are doing it all right, by the book and safety conscious. Next installment will be fun, I've heard that that Scotts Honda emporium guy can be a bit of a hard ball on prices for Honda's as they are all a funny size bolts and flimsy rusty panels.
My dad has a black 06 Si with 22k miles he bought new. Probably the cleanest in the country and has never had the paint redone. I just bought an 06 Si myself with 252k miles. These have the K20Z3 engines, not rhe K20A
I try not to. I have plenty of videos, it’s getting them edited and out that is the hard part. I’ve been doing a couple a week for this month so I might need a break after New Years. 😂 Good luck with your video. I’ll watch it when I get a chance! 👍🏻
Long time subscriber here...I never get tired of this channel. great content, always interesting. I've picked up so many good repair tips from Scott that help me with the projects I do. Keep it up!
Damn that's my dream yard machine 🤣 mower jokes aside I lost my 8th gen sedan to some bad railroad tracks haha they handle really well but are made of the thinnest hopes and dreams with 3m in the seams
Except for a Renault R8 and a Triumph mk1, my cars were all Japanese, my present one being a Kia Cerato. When you were working on the boot lid I remembered an irritating thing about the boot lids of these cars is that the hinges protrude into the load section. When loading the boot, you always have to check that your luggage isn't in the way of the hinges. Other brands, like Volkswagen, have the hinges out of the way.
Awesome video for being a boring build Friday, 🤪🤪🤪. Just wondering, is there a vehicle that you absolutely refuse to work on no matter what? If so what is it? Enjoy your weekend. 🚗🚗🚗
I can only imagine that cars life. Purchased new by an older lady who loved it and sparingly drove it to the grocery store. Wanted a 5 speed to relive her glory days. The only one available in the 5 speed was the SI. Gave it to her 16 year old nephew and he destroyed it in a matter of 6 weeks.
Looks like someone had also already been on that quarter before? On the end screen it seems to have a spray painted older crease there right? Great video btw. The more I watch your videos, the more I really want to try buying a crashed car and fixing it myself, seems so enjoyable!
Scott, You make it look easy. I never grow tired of your builds or your dry sense of humor. Haters gonna hate LOL

Yeah you're right. It's still a civic.
the fa5 comes with a k20z3 engine, a little bit different than the k20a. oil pump, camshafts intake manifold etc. NICE pick up tho
I am really enjoying the rebuilds of these smaller cars. Keep them coming Scott! Cheers from Australia.
You know why I love this channel, you rebuild stuff we all can afford, not some 5000k super car junker..Id rather watch this ALL day long, I thank you!
I agree. His videos are more realistic versus the other TH-cam stars milking the ads
5000k super cars WHERE? ITS MORE like $100k+ cars
Another great video from Vehcor Thanks Scott for all the great content keep it coming

I think it's the calm, I win approach that I love so much.
Oh, I wasn’t always that calm. 😂
I have looked all over the internet for Scott's GM truck emporium. Couldn't find it. Now I here that there is a Honda emporium.
Grand Am, Lexus, Camaro, Enclave, Escape and a few other various emporiums as well.
@@vehcor man is a walking parts catalog. Prophetic on the upcoming wreck repairs and buys the parts cars beforehand
As someone who cuts lawns, i believe all honda's should have a pull cord start.

Thank you for calling the bumper reinforcement by the correct name and not calling it “bumper rebar” like the other channels
