I would keep the 8v if you have one without opf ... your is nearly 20 db louder thats 4 times as loud as the new one and the sound your hear in the new one is from the speakers I asume ....

Had the mk 7.5 Golf R and could not believe the power - speed with no modifications whatsoever it was a rocket ship once it gripped up the acceleration was awesome. Beg t think what the new RS3 will be like it will be a Cayman GT4 Slayer. I would love to see you drive an Lotus Evora - Exige 410 or 430 Archie.
So besides looks and rear tail wagging, it’s essentially as fast as my 18’ was from stock. I think that onboard 1/4 counter is in ego mode lol. Great car nonetheless 👍

My rs7 running 785BHP so will feel slow in a stock rs3. But I drove a stock g series 510bhp m3 other day that feels so much better and more dynamic. Very impressed unlike the Audi
OPF has ruined the epic exhaust tone this engine had, pre OPF. My pre OPF 2018 RS3 with stock sports exhaust sounds soooo much better….sounds properly savage compared to this new one. Yes, it’s more unrefined but it’s much angrier, it literally howls and spits and in Dynamic mode. Shame but legislation is legislation and heralds the rapid changes that are sadly coming to the combustion engine and its inevitable, scheduled demise.
I don’t see the point these are over 70k on auto trader. Might as well just buy a old rs3 for about 20K and spend a few thousand tunning it to 400-450 BHp. Still 4x4 but without all the digital stuff that’s doesn’t do much.
Buying brand new is fantastic, speccing the car and then receiving it is unbelievable, if you can afford it why not, anyway if people don’t buy new cars the peasants can’t tune their second hand cars 🤣

I would keep the 8v if you have one without opf ... your is nearly 20 db louder thats 4 times as loud as the new one and the sound your hear in the new one is from the speakers I asume ....

Ironically the people that are responsible for the legislation travel to a conference with 400 (!) private jets. A complete and utter joke!
