When I was in high school, I fell HARD for the younger sister of one of my classmates. I was a senior, she was a sophomore. We dated briefly after a year of me being infatuated with her. I ended up moving about 4 hours away, and she moved on to dating other people, of course, as did I. I went back in late May to my old stomping grounds, and ran into her downtown. She was shopping for a dress for prom, but her folks were making her buy it with her own money as some kind of punishment/learning experience or whatever. We shopped a few stores, and she found the one she wanted, but it was about $100 to much for her budget.
Bear in mind, I was living alone, and really had to scrape up the money for gas to go there and back over that weekend. I also realized that I still had pretty strong feelings for her, and it was killing me inside that she would be in the arms of someone else at that dance. After we parted ways that early evening, I went back to the store and bought the dress, instructing the shop to have it delivered tomorrow if they could. I didn't eat anything except what I could filch from work (at a restaurant) for a couple of weeks, and I never told her it was me that did it, though I'm sure she knew it was. I realized then and there that while I couldn't be happy with her, at least I could make her happy in some small way.

@cybercat29, I once had went out to help the being that most people would refer to as my mother do some shopping in a nearby town, but my stupid ex-stepfather had left the door open and caused one of my two kitties to get mauled by his dogs. Later that week, a pack of coyotes mauled the dogs that did the deed, so my ex-stepfather had to bury some dogs. This is but one of many times in which YAHWEH EL ELOHIM has answered an unjust deed with a just response in my life.

6:08 My son was working out of state and had very limited funds. Needed shoes as his were worn out. Went to a shoe store and bought the shoes he needed. I checked his account for him and the money was put back on his card 45 minutes after he had left the store. He was touched, and said it fit given the feeling he got from the people he met in the store. Thank you random people who looked out after my son.

On EVE Online I will challenge newbies to a duel, blow up their ship, and when they realize that they did indeed lose the ship, I will send them 100,000,000 isk (in game currency) and tell them to be more careful before going on for my next prey. It helps my killmarks and teaches them how brutal the game is if they’re not careful.

He was so hated that you could empty every city with the words "Blusky Spotted at coords X,Y." I guess you've never had homeless people camping nearby throwing their used needles and bottles of piss into your yard, or pooping in your garden, or stealing from you & your neighbors, assaulting people walking down the sidewalk, or selling drugs to school children. Not every homeless person is some adorable scamp just down on his luck, some are actually dangerous people.

15:27 That used to happen to me a lot in Brisbane, Australia. Someone would come up, ask if I'd like the ticket. Also, if I had a goodly amount of time left on mine, I'd try and find someone who's just parked to give it to. But people do get a little freaked being approached in an underground car park. You'd see them thinking "Oh no, did I just hit their car?" or "Uh oh, crazy person", so it had to be done in a very diffident kind of way.

Years ago my mom worked at a truck stop as a waitress. A trucker came in one day who was self-employed and hadn't been able to get a load back home and would either be stranded and spending money he didn't have or would have to dead head home and take a loss that way. She cleaned out the til (around 300$) and told him not to tell anyone. The place was empty except for the two of them and the cook and he couldn't have cared less plus it was way too long ago to have had any surveillance at all so no one ever found out. I have no idea how she reconciled the register at the end the of shift.

I only have Lawful Good stories 😅 Like I'll ignore being short changed but if they give me too much change back, I'll return the difference. Or like that one time I went to a health food store and payed for my stuff, then left the store, looked at the receipt and saw that they'd not charged me for all the items. I went back immediately to point this out so they could ring it up. They gave me some trial packages of different stuff as a thank you. I just don't like the thought of retail workers getting in trouble with their boss because the numbers don't add up at the end of the day.

I used to work closing shifts for a fast food fried chicken joint. Every night, we would have to debone all of our leftover chicken, but sometimes we would have a lot leftover if it was really slow, the most we’ve had was 3 full trays or ~100 pieces. No one liked staying late to help debone, so on nights where the manager wasn’t working, we would give our free chicken to customers who came in shortly before closing.
Oh, you ordered a 2 piece meal? Oops, guess you’re getting this bucket of 10 pieces. You treated me like a decent human being? Nice, here’s 8 extra pieces of chicken to go with your family meal. Just take it, leave, and don’t ask any questions.

My sister and I went to Alberta in like 2014. We were there for the national parks but we visited Calgary for a day. While we were downtown we saw some shenanigans in the doorway of the tiny McDonald's. It's not wheelchair accessible. A guy in a wheelchair was trying to get in, and he was either homeless or looked homeless so people weren't helping him. They were just mad that he was in the way, and one person even climbed past him to get in ahead of him. It was awful. My sister and I ran over to hold the door and try to get him un-wedged in there. There were two sets of doors way too close to each other so he was like trapped, and so was everyone inside. It's really not okay. Anyway he got unstuck but the security guy inside was telling him he can't be in there, and he has to be a paying customer or something. I was about to give him a few bucks to buy some food because WOW, but I saw the security person watching me like a hawk and I remembered that lots of cities and other places ban giving money to people in settings like that 🙄 i didn't know the law and didn't want that guard to win so I asked the guy what he wanted to eat. He only wanted fries :( Everyone was still being mean to him and he was in the way because the restaurant is so garbage. The guard was telling him to leave. I told the guy if he goes out we'll bring him fries. The guard was 😠 The person in front of us was a foreigner too, from Ireland though, and he was like WOW WHAT EVEN IS THIS? Just like we were. So we talked crap on everyone and chatted for the long long time it took to get through the huge line. When we finally got out of there, we brought the guy his food and he dropped half of it on the ground. There were cops parked nearby and I believe standing on the sidewalk, and one of them started mocking him at the top of his lungs. It was unreal. We glared at the cops and one of them looked sheepish but not sorry. I felt so bad for that guy, I don't care if he's inconvenient or whatever, so am I. He's a human being
It looks like the doors are still an inaccessible fire hazard...It's at 222 SW 8 Ave, there are user submitted photos on Google maps. They block off the seating so customers can't eat in the restaurant. We loved Falafel King though lol
