I met Jerry Springer when I worked at a Starbucks. He made fun of me for not being a morning person but works a job where I have to be up at like 4:00 a.m.
Joan Jet asked me if I wanted her autograph, I was in the middle of an emergency and declined. She stood there confused as I rushed passed her and said no thanks. She came in to my place of employment to sign autographs and apparently thought everyone would grovel at her feet. I had a big audit due and the copy machine decided to explode in the middle of the first set of copies. I was covered in toner, and under the gun, not trying to be rude but she didn’t get it.
met Paul McGann at a convention (belfast 2015), lovely man, i was obsessed with Dr Who and he was so happy someone so young knew him and he asked me for a hug! what an amazing experience
I was at a convention in Dublin, and I don't know if this would be considered as meeting a celebrity, but I met Nolan North and Troy Baker during their signing event. Both are amazingly sweet guys who really love their job as voice actors for video games. I got a hug from Troy Baker, because I am not able to keep my cool and was bawling my eyes out trying to remain calm. He did not need to but that was super kind of him.
I’ve met a lot of social media influencers, not celebrities. But my favorite was when we were waiting for a meet up to start around 10am and the talents all came out. Brooke Butler (a singer) started dozing off while sitting up. I started snapping and yelled “BROOKE WAKE UP!” And she jolted up. When It was my turn to meet her, I offered to get her a coffee and she politely declined.
12:37 I met Jason Mewes for the first time at Monster-Mania in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. I was cosplaying as Silent Bob and he was all about it. While he went to autograph something, he accidentally knocked his coffee over, then looked me dead in the eyes and screamed "LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, TONS OF FUN!" Then he laughed and said it was cool, he'd just get another one. Then when he went on break he invited my friend and I to join him on his break while he had a cigarette. I even lent him my lighter. He's a good dude, and I'm glad it seems like he's got his life together.
It so much weird as it is funny in this case. I met Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime in much of the Transformers franchise). He came walking in the door of the convention center and I said “Oh my god! There he is!” He looks at me wide-eyed with a grin on his face and said “Oh my!” abd made his way to the stage.
I am also bummed out to hear about Annasophia Robb being a diva to the redditer. She was my role model as a preteen. Hopefully she was in some bratty phase at the time (she would have been about 15 or 16 when that movie was filmed). She's in her late 20's now so maybe she's matured since then.
I have been going to the local Comic-Con in my city for past three years. This year was the best one. Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Spin City) A Genuinely nice guy but I could tell that age and his past battle with cancer is catching up to him. Denise Crosby(Star Trek Franchise.) She was the complete opposite of what I thought of she was going to be like. she's an awesome lady. P.S. I said to her that John De Lancie (Q) is a wacko! She just laughed.
I had an odd one. I was in a pharmacy in Winnipeg standing in the middle of the aisle facing mens razors, disposables and blade packages, when a guy whips in front, grabs whatever and then is gone. Turns out it was Burton Cummings. Winnipeg is his home town. Wasn't rude, didn't acknowledge me, just grabbed what he needed and was gone. Simple but made me laugh - he was like Razor Man!

I wouldn't really count this as weird but rather odd on how it happened. I managed to witness Seth McFarlane perform at Vibrato Grill Jazz with my mom (3/1/24). Prior to that day, I was motivated to hand stitch a hoodie for my little yorkie that resembles his character Ted. I brought the hoodie with me as a personal good luck charm to feel like my dog was with me. After the performance is when Seth literally walked right by my table to greet some acquaintances at another table near me. Not knowing what was gonna happen next, I stayed in my seat to see if he'd turn around. Just barely as he looked at my direction, I tried to quickly share the Ted hoodie when I held it upwards. His security staff immediately pushed my hand while telling me "no distractions ma'am." It honestly made me feel bad for him that he missed such a unique surprise because I'm sure he would have loved to see it. It felt as if Seth had a strict schedule and his staff was extremely sensitive to any time wasting moments. While it was a pity that he missed his own surprise, 5 other customers noticed me holding it after leaving the club with my mom and they immediately melted at how adorable it looked.
Me and usain bolt collided into each other when he was coming down with other athletes for their appreciation in the 2008 beijing olympics i didnt knew what was going on the people was moving out of the way for the athletes to come on stage when we colided he look at me like he wanted to fight lol and he was in the same grade as one of my brothers
