Wow! very beautiful landscapes, nice type of short videos that all together compile an amazing effort to watch this video as it is an adventure! Thanks for explanations and recommendations!
Thank you so much for your sweet and kind feedback. The Azores is absolutely amazing and so worth a visit. We can’t wait to go back ❤️ We appreciate you watching our video 🙏
The Azores are a resting place for whales in their long migrations (that's the reason whaling used to work very well there), so on some islands you can hire a trip, a local guide, to go whale watching. That kid in the aquarium is quite funny: “we ship them by truck, like UPS”...😂 Well, probably they just have to ask one of these companies to pick up one of their special live animal packages. UPS will ship it BY PLAIN, from Faial it would have to make a stopover in Ponta Delgada, then Lisbon and then anywhere in Europe. For non-European destinations, it would imply special procedures and permits for export-import, that cannot be made by a normal postal service, it requires loads of paperwork.
We saw whale watching tours leaving the harbor at Horta every day. Although we didn’t see any in the Azores we did see whales in the distance when we were leaving Bermuda. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
The White Wine that you drank, thinking it was a wine from the Azores, is actually not. It is a great wine from Portugal but from its mainland. He is from Azeitão, Setúbal, Portugal. I hope you liked it.

Thank you for commenting and letting me know. The wine was amazing 🤩 I’m now back in the US and will see if I can find it here.
Portuguese settlement of the Azores came long after the Viking age was over....
