I’ve always had help whenever needed! We even had a fan break on our 40w s1 & they sent me brand new $1,500 laser head no questions asked. After that experience I have no interest in any other laser brands other than Xtool. The only other laser I’d buy that isn’t Xtool is a large scale 36x48 but that’s only because they haven’t offered it yet!
Often everything you read online is people complaining about anything they don’t like. People who are happy don’t generally express that online, unless physically asked their opinion.
with the conveyer, air purifier and rotary its over $5,000. I ordered mine yesterday. Sad I have to wait until the end of July for it to ship. I have a lot of plans for this machine.
Really hope they can keep upping the wattage for their fiber lineup! I love the form factor but 20W is still pretty low-end, especially for this price. 50W would make deep engraving jobs so much faster and open up much more cutting possibilities.
Had no idea you could do that type of relief on slate! 🤯 Is that using the fiber or blue diode? I just bought a 30w LaserMatic mk2, would love to be able to do something like those reliefs, even if not as deep
Would love to see a video or even just a short explanation of how you can get that type of effect on slate. I searched for some tutorials online, and all I found was engraving pictures on the surface (which is cool, yet not what you showed) perhaps I'm searching the wrong term? (Searched for making bas reliefs on slate with laser, and similar permutations)
Help! Got Xtool F1 ultra. When I Frame on a product the framing is in the correct position. But the finished lettering has moved below the framing box. Any help would be appreciated
There’s another machine coming from Xtool soon and I’m excited to see what their multifunctional craft machine is like. I don’t feel I have come across a machine for my craft needs so 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
They had to replace my xTool f1 machine as the infra red light disappeared after three weeks, unfortunately even the replaced machine also having the same problem. Upon my research what I found is should not buy dual lasers.
Can the F1 or F1 ultra engrave on gold plated stainless steel? I'm looking to engrave photos, such as portraits of people, on gold plated necklace pendants. Which would you recommend for this use case? Thank you in advance!
For the F1 Prime do you mean the original F1? If so, totally that form factor is perfect for smaller stuff and being portable. It would be nice if the could up the wattage on the fiber to at least 5W/10W though, not sure how that would impact the size.
I have the F1 and like it. The Ultra is just too expensive for what it is. I can get a 50w MOPA integrated fiber laser from OMTech for around $2500 right now. I may lose some work area but power would be more important on what you can engrave. Even the LP5 is a bit cheaper.
The main benefit of the Ultra is the combination of fiber and diode in one machine. The MOPA fiber laser from OMTech is a great machine if you only need to engrave metal. Yes, the fiber isn’t as powerful, but it’s mostly the convenience of having both in a single package. It’s a Jack of all trades machine, so it does everything mediocrely.
Yes it would do a better job, but so would the F1 (normal). Also something not discussed here is the fact there are no safety features that stop the laser when the case is open classifies this as a Class 4 laser.
@@Adriel59 That would be pretty dope. If you’re not going for deep engraving like the example coins he showed off the F1 normal would do an excellent job at much less cost than the Ultra. But then again an S1 10w + IR Laser would be more versatile for almost the same cost. With the S1 you’d have to swap the laser module when wanting to use IR vs 10w and yes it wouldn’t print as fast considering it’s not a galvo BUT the option to do more larger projects later might be appealing. Choices… choices. Goodluck!
It can work any direction, but having the grooves heading towards the back exhaust could help some but still won't fix the issue of air assist on top during cuting.

Doesnt work - says not valid
Good grief - you ever count how many words you say in a video? And not miss a beat. Truly amazing.
I watch videos on 1.25 or 1.5 cause limited time to soak information so gotta speed it up. So even crazier hearing it like that
Ha if only you could see what it’s like when I don’t go back and edit…
Hey Brandon great video, just a correction to note at 12:40 it does have a door safety switch and you can toggle it off or on inside the settings.
Yeh thanks, now realizing I totally missed that.
$4K is a bit much. Don't hear much positive comments about xTool customer service.

Why not try specific fiber laser

@@justinbanks2380 embossing is the term xtool uses
It’s using the fiber

Would like to see you compare this to a standard fiber laser.
Coming soon, now that we are a good number of the desktop all in one style fiber units I need to compare them.

Just finished testing it out, it's pretty sweet!
😱😱 stop!! Now I'm really excited. Your reviews are great and can't wait to see your take on the new machine.

does it have the capability to do round surfaces i.e. cups?

There is a software toggle in XCS to turn on and off the shield safety. So if the shield is up it will turn the laser off.
oh shoot, should have double checked it before talking about it, thanks for mentioning it!
Interested to hear your take on the Ultra. Also, do you think its worth it for xTool to keep the F1 Prime when the Ultra Exists?

I cant make up my mind about the F1 ultra or the P2... love the fast engraving features on the F1 but also want to cut out wood/acrylic
If you don’t really need to do metal then I would go with P2
Would the F1 Ultra be good for engraving rocks, stones and woods too?
Yep, the IR laser is great for rocks and stones. For wood it has a diode laser as well.
@@makeorbreakshop Would you recommend it over the P2?
Can it engrave ferrous metals?
Also curious
They need to make one thats in between them to in size but has the power as the ultra
Hi @makeorbreakshop , when can you review Monport GI60 laser?
The F1 uses 2watt infrared not a fiber laser only the F1 ultra uses a fiber laser

No air assist, then you immediately put the plate on the ultra the wrong way. 🤦

How is it for tattoo art? Stick your arm in there for a test?😂
Would make for a great TH-cam thumbnail 🤔
