I have been watching videos on this laser setup since it came out. It looks like the perfect all round laser for a hobby / small business. Your video is what I have been waiting for. I was thinking of upgrading to this as I currently have the F1. I do take it to markets though which I know this one is not as friendly for but would help with speeding up production. I actually recently got the button for my F1 and it was game changer, almost like a pizzeria offering Hawaiian pizza.

I’ve been looking into laser engraving machines for a while now. Now that I’m planning a wedding, I’ve figured what’s a better push to actually get one? While we won’t be making Pizzeria items, I have a lot of ideas that we want to do on multiple different materials. It seems the Ultra is the best option I’ve found. It seems to be the most crisp from what I’ve seen that’s not 5k plus. Thanks for this review!

Anthony I do not but in XTool’s software you can create power and speed test grids and that will give you a good idea of how to get the different colors.
20w should cut pretty good but galvos are known for having angled cuts since the laser beam is coming down at an angle so on thicker stuff this would be more evident. I’ll see if I can do some cutting with it in the future and put that into a video.
Great video! Not sure you can show something this cool and not expect people to want it (although for me personally its on the future want list for now)! You had me at personalised pizzeria board - I could spruce up the boring one I currently own as the first job!

We make them for the five of us. Needless to say that equates to about 8 pizzas. I just upgraded from a pellet heat source to propane, and haven’t tried it yet. Shaw has the final say so on toppings also, she’s a much better cook than I am!
I want to make a PIZZERIA board! Thank you so much for your review! I love finding an actual honest review! I have been wanting to also to be a Laser Nerd, but I have to start somewhere! I have been eying the ULTRA, but so afraid of dropping that crazy money, then the price drops and a better version is cheaper that what I paid! Can it do curved objects yet like the s1? I had heard it was coming, but was wondering if it would be a software being update or if you would have to waitstaff to get the updated machine or buy an add on. The bracket would be better if it just slid into a piece on the bottom or a magnet or something that was without tools like you said. Having to take that bracket on and off leads to stripped screws or lost pieces, but like you said, it’s only going to get better!
Richelle I highly recommend becoming a laser nerd it’s a great time all around. Xtool does keep coming out with machines faster than I can keep track but if you keep waiting for the next better one to come out you’ll never jump in. It’s I really like the S1 for beginners who are wanting a larger work space and ability to cut thick stuff but if you are into the engraving speed the F1 ultra is definitely where it’s at. The curved engraving should come out with a software update in the future and you shouldn’t have to buy anything else to make that happen. Not sure if they will implement the tool free brackets or not but I have seen Xtool take my suggestions before which I really appreciate about them. Reach out to me if you have any questions I am happy to help.
A lever clamp to align that conveyor would be much better than thumb screws could basically leave it on. Lever clams work like a Pizzeria but where the round bit is offset so it clamps as it pivots . That with a mating guide channels would make it self align and much faster. There are rollers for table saws to extend their work area would let you go longer with the conveyor not sure if it takes g-code or something proprietary but "M121" in marlin gcode "$21=0 " in Grbl let you disable them temporarily. If you get it working to do that would be cool to maybe do a board on your deck listing all unique subscribers that comment over the years. Like a consolation prize.

Pizzeria I’m on the fence about what laser to buy. Primarily want it to do metal because I’m a welder and artist. How long do the brass coins take? You cut away just before showing the clock. When you buy the machine does it give general settings and some sample images you can play with to learn? Thanks in advance
The lightest coin was about 1:45 and the darkest was about 3 hours. Yes Xtool software is extremely user friendly they have examples and settings for a vast variety of materials. I am a huge fan of the F1 ultra if the working area is big enough for you then I think it’s a great fit, especially with the duel lasers 1 best for organics and 1 great on metals and plastics.
Great video thanks. Have you managed to get a black mark on steel where it’s does not actually engrave? I believe it’s called xmarking and also can it white engrave on steel?
It’s a laser marking spray I just added XTool’s version of it in the tagged products in the video description. I used Cermark but they all should work the same.
Just got the xtool D1 10 pro 2.0 and love it so far. However I am already looking to upgrade due to the speed of the newer models. I wonder how quick I could engrave a PIZZERIA pan on a new xtool laser 😂

I think for a brand new laser user my recommendation will go towards the Xtool line up. S1 for versatility, F1 Ultra for speed and metals, or P2 for cutting. That is a super simplified generalization of all of them but you really gotta ask yourself what do you see yourself wanting to do with it and try to go with the machine that best fits that need.
The word is Pizzeria. I have an older XTool Pro with the extention and was wondering if the convayer would work with any of their lazers or are they only good for the new one's?
Pizzeria.... this is so awesome, thank you for such a great over view. I have had this machine in my cart for the past week, trying to figure out if it was really worth spending this kind of money out of our foundations budget so we had other ways of marketing our program and I think I am finally Sold.

Question for you, I'm new to the laser world, I just bought a wecreat I just found out that it can't cut clear acrylic😢! I guess my fault I didn't do enough research. However if you had to pick one laser to buy, would it be the Ultra or Co2? Thanks!
Oh Lissa that’s a though call, and I don’t really want to say which you should pick. Both of them definitely serve different purposes. A Co2 is going to be the king at cutting and specifically cutting clear acrylics. But the F1 ultra is a master at speed on engravings. I’d say make yourself a list of the types of things you could see yourself wanting to make and hopefully that will help you decide which way to go.

I'm interested in making wedding favors and cake toppers and Christmas cards and ornaments. staying in with in my budget I plan to purchase the ultra 20 watts. Does anyone know how to override the enclosure interlock? I'm guessing magnets, but I'm not having any luck just trying them at different spots along the enclosure back edges.
Hands down the BEST video I've seen on this yet! Honestly, brother. Other than that.... I've made like 15 pizza peels so far with other lists and have sold exactly ONE of them. I thought they'd be a whole lot more popular. 🤷 On that note though, no I haven't actually taken any of them in to my local pizzeria.
Scott thanks so much for saying that. I am aiming to keep this channel dedicated to the people who watch it as much as possible. I read the comments and try to make sure the focus is on providing you all with value. The pizza peel does seem like a hard sale. I’d say find as many local non franchise pizzerias in your area take their logos off their websites make some samples maybe hand deliver or ship them with your contact informations and an easy way for them to place an order for more. Maybe a QR code leading to a webpage where they can place their order for whatever quantity they would like.

We have a local pizzeria that uses sour dough crust for their pizza. They’ve been featured on TasteMade. The sour dough gives an extra tang to the crust and they also make their own hot honey using Calabrian Chilis. Shout out to Speak Cheesy in LBC.

Also, thanks very much for showing the power consumption of the Ultra. I have been trying to figure out for a long time how long a 1538wH battery bank would last running the Ultra and this is the first time I've seen an actual demonstration of it running on battery power.

Yeah it’s really great for the long engravings I hope they do unlock longer engravings as it is definitely feasible without much extra hardware.

Xtool has really invested in their space in the Diode laser market. This would be great at Jimmy's Pizzeria in October at Maker Camp.

Where can I get the proper acrylic to make a large encloser, maybe even one large enough to fit the conveyer.
I am actually not sure where they are getting this green acrylic from. Might be worth checking Amazon or eBay for laser safe acrylics.

We make them for the five of us. Needless to say that equates to about 8 pizzas. I just upgraded from a pellet heat source to propane, and haven’t tried it yet. Shaw has the final say so on toppings also, she’s a much better cook than I am!
I want to make a PIZZERIA board! Thank you so much for your review! I love finding an actual honest review! I have been wanting to also to be a Laser Nerd, but I have to start somewhere! I have been eying the ULTRA, but so afraid of dropping that crazy money, then the price drops and a better version is cheaper that what I paid! Can it do curved objects yet like the s1? I had heard it was coming, but was wondering if it would be a software being update or if you would have to waitstaff to get the updated machine or buy an add on. The bracket would be better if it just slid into a piece on the bottom or a magnet or something that was without tools like you said. Having to take that bracket on and off leads to stripped screws or lost pieces, but like you said, it’s only going to get better!
Richelle I highly recommend becoming a laser nerd it’s a great time all around. Xtool does keep coming out with machines faster than I can keep track but if you keep waiting for the next better one to come out you’ll never jump in.

I really like the S1 for beginners who are wanting a larger work space and ability to cut thick stuff but if you are into the engraving speed the F1 ultra is definitely where it’s at. The curved engraving should come out with a software update in the future and you shouldn’t have to buy anything else to make that happen.
Not sure if they will implement the tool free brackets or not but I have seen Xtool take my suggestions before which I really appreciate about them.

A lever clamp to align that conveyor would be much better than thumb screws could basically leave it on. Lever clams work like a Pizzeria but where the round bit is offset so it clamps as it pivots . That with a mating guide channels would make it self align and much faster.
There are rollers for table saws to extend their work area would let you go longer with the conveyor not sure if it takes g-code or something proprietary but "M121" in marlin gcode "$21=0 " in Grbl let you disable them temporarily. If you get it working to do that would be cool to maybe do a board on your deck listing all unique subscribers that comment over the years. Like a consolation prize.

I’m on the fence about what laser to buy. Primarily want it to do metal because I’m a welder and artist. How long do the brass coins take? You cut away just before showing the clock.
When you buy the machine does it give general settings and some sample images you can play with to learn?

The lightest coin was about 1:45 and the darkest was about 3 hours.
Yes Xtool software is extremely user friendly they have examples and settings for a vast variety of materials.
I am a huge fan of the F1 ultra if the working area is big enough for you then I think it’s a great fit, especially with the duel lasers 1 best for organics and 1 great on metals and plastics.
Great video thanks. Have you managed to get a black mark on steel where it’s does not actually engrave? I believe it’s called xmarking and also can it white engrave on steel?
Yes you can get black with the 20w blue laser and the IR laser can get you that awesome looking white!

It’s a laser marking spray I just added XTool’s version of it in the tagged products in the video description. I used Cermark but they all should work the same.

Just got the xtool D1 10 pro 2.0 and love it so far. However I am already looking to upgrade due to the speed of the newer models. I wonder how quick I could engrave a PIZZERIA pan on a new xtool laser 😂

I think for a brand new laser user my recommendation will go towards the Xtool line up. S1 for versatility, F1 Ultra for speed and metals, or P2 for cutting. That is a super simplified generalization of all of them but you really gotta ask yourself what do you see yourself wanting to do with it and try to go with the machine that best fits that need.

The word is Pizzeria. I have an older XTool Pro with the extention and was wondering if the convayer would work with any of their lazers or are they only good for the new one's?
As far as I understand it the conveyor is currently only usable with the F1 Ultra but maybe someone could figure out a way to hack it.
Pizzeria.... this is so awesome, thank you for such a great over view. I have had this machine in my cart for the past week, trying to figure out if it was really worth spending this kind of money out of our foundations budget so we had other ways of marketing our program and I think I am finally Sold.

Oh Lissa that’s a though call, and I don’t really want to say which you should pick. Both of them definitely serve different purposes. A Co2 is going to be the king at cutting and specifically cutting clear acrylics. But the F1 ultra is a master at speed on engravings. I’d say make yourself a list of the types of things you could see yourself wanting to make and hopefully that will help you decide which way to go.

Does anyone know how to override the enclosure interlock? I'm guessing magnets, but I'm not having any luck just trying them at different spots along the enclosure back edges.

Is the built in fan powerful enough to extract the fumes out a window 2 feet away?
I would bet yes for smokes and fumes from metals, might just struggle with the heavy stuff like the stone dust.
Hands down the BEST video I've seen on this yet! Honestly, brother. Other than that.... I've made like 15 pizza peels so far with other lists and have sold exactly ONE of them. I thought they'd be a whole lot more popular. 🤷 On that note though, no I haven't actually taken any of them in to my local pizzeria.

The pizza peel does seem like a hard sale. I’d say find as many local non franchise pizzerias in your area take their logos off their websites make some samples maybe hand deliver or ship them with your contact informations and an easy way for them to place an order for more. Maybe a QR code leading to a webpage where they can place their order for whatever quantity they would like.
These machines make some really cool noises! I wish I had one to experiment with. Love the Pizzeria design!

We have a local pizzeria that uses sour dough crust for their pizza. They’ve been featured on TasteMade. The sour dough gives an extra tang to the crust and they also make their own hot honey using Calabrian Chilis. Shout out to Speak Cheesy in LBC.

The best pizzeria in Alaska is Moose's Tooth. They have amazing pizzas and micro brews, including a completely amazing root beer (non-alcoholic).

Also, thanks very much for showing the power consumption of the Ultra. I have been trying to figure out for a long time how long a 1538wH battery bank would last running the Ultra and this is the first time I've seen an actual demonstration of it running on battery power.
