    One thing not talked too much about this unit, is the open concept cover. The lack of an interlock closure system makes this classified as a Class 4 laser, which if you are in a business that OSHA is regulating, it is a real headache to use the machine "safely". Pretty much have to have it in a locked room with no windows operating by itself, blinking entry lights, a bit of stuff if you look it up. OSHA Technical Manual (OTM)
    Section III: Chapter 6 lines a lot of it out.

    • @nathanwolf5547

      You can set both the F1 and the ultra to shut off if you lift the cover. Not useful when using accessories though.

    Thanks for the video. I didn't see much charring or burning on any of your projects. Did they engrave cleanly, or did you wipe down before showing to the camera?? I noticed some on the turtle light switch cover though ..
    Also, does it engrave on plastic bottles that you can get from Target or Walmart, such as a UV printer can?

    • @CorneliusCreations
      @CorneliusCreations  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Great question. There is minimal charring on most projects. The power on the turtle project could have been turned down some TBH. I actually installed a new fan on the F1 Ultra and it has significantly increased the suction and made it better.
      The IR can engrave plastic. While I have only engraved a few plastic items, I have full faith it could! The F1 continues to impress me.

    Hello Sir! Tell me your honest unbiased opinion.. F1 Ultra versus ... Monport 30W Fiber laser engraver ?

    • @CorneliusCreations
      @CorneliusCreations  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course: Price wise, you are getting a more powerful laser for the money with the Monoport. This means faster engraving times and more flexibility. If you can operate Lightburn, you will have a very capable laser. If you aren’t used to fiber lasers, there will be a learning curve (as with any laser really). With the F1 Ultra: the price you are paying for is the features. Not only you have a fiber, but a blue diode as well. This means you aren’t limited to a fibers use on metal and plastics. With 24/7 support, a ton of accessories and one click settings, the F1 ultra will be much easier to operate than other lasers. Does the jump in price make it worth it for the money? Look at WHAT you will be doing with it. I make money with all my lasers. Personally, I like the flexibility of the F1 Ultra more. But, your use case may be different than mine. Hope this helps, -Matt

    The "Hustle" is a little on the misleading side. It's a saturated market with online companies that can ALWAYS beat whatever price you have in the street. If you want to play with lasers feel free but dont allow these snake oilers to convince you that you can quit your job and make things that mostly are wanted by a limited and very small niche market. You will never break even in business doing this unless you have the ability to float till you get things going which most people in this level of laser field do not have. These are entry level machines no matter what they say as far as comparing them to industrial sized lasers. Keep in mind these video guys are PAID PAID PAID with equipment and a stacks of materials to mess up hoping to get that one that even looks decent. I'm sure there are exceptions to this but most will never make it outside the garage. I have a full line of Xtool products and I am also a product rep. I paid nothing for my 40watter nor the F1 and F1 Ultra. I built a k40 that out performs anything made by Xtool other than auto focus and cams for 1/4 the price. The Xtool air cleaner is expensive to operate. Many places will NOT allow open lasers nor any type of burning smell. I truly thank the good Reps from Xtool for their PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Xtool has the best in the market. Im not trying to dissuade anyone from chasing their dreams and hopes of having a successful business. That's the American Dream. I just want to share what I have seen in reality away from people PAID by cash or machinery.I'm not knocking the Xtool products. Their materials are the best Ive found for consistency in grain size and color when burned. Xtool is the leader in the field and you get a solid machine, but you will pay for it. I hope all that read this will be successful at all they do. God Bless America and all the people that are willing to put the work in to be successful.

      I tho8ght about the hustle. And I totally agree. I'm in the apparel decorating industry and am an artist myself. I have side project and also can use this for cutting applique for embroidery and patches. Other then that for a home hobbist tryna quit their job and get rich off etsy....impossible. let's say you find a good hustle, it's already all over the internet. Let's say you come up with something new, you getting copied and someone's gonna be willing to do it for less. But if you can find your own lane and have a branded product line with customization, I do think you can win big here. I def want to test these bad bois out! Black Friday here we come!

      80% of businesses fail in their first 5 years. Of the 20% that succeed, 80% of them fail in their next 5 years. From these numbers, this means that on average, 96 out of 100 startups fail within 10 years.
      The numbers change depending where you get your references from, but no matter what, the odds are stacked against you if you want to drop the day job.
      I've used fiber lasers, Trotecs, Epilogs, Avid CNCs, Chinese CNCs, UV printers, Latex Printers, Sublimation printers and 3D printers to make 1000s of different products for sale on Etsy, Amazon, eBay - believe me it's extremely hard to make a living.
      I'm sure you could make a few $ using this machine but it's hard to see how you could use it to give up a day job securely.

I'm looking into the desktop one that you can add on a raiser along with conveyor. As a new are you saying it won't be worth it. I want to make gifts for some of my top clients like flask and tumblers. My core purpose would really be for applique. I'm coming from alot of plotter experience and dull blades. What are someof the cons you see in these machines so I can understand my capabilities. Again I'm not looking into wasting time and learning with a k40. I've heard some great stuff from people that know what their doing and I heard more horror stories. At the end of the day I'm running a decent business already, I'm valuing time more then price. But ofcourse I don't want to pay a fortune i think I'm ok around the 2k range

When they see what the waste to profit margin is to start most will give up. I will say that Xtool makes the prettiest machines and customer service is top of the triangle.
