hey man try the last 4 digits of your vin number for the pin code on your bike also it should be in the owners manual. or just call the dealer you bought the bike from and they will ask the guy who sold the bike to them for the pin code
i believe he lives in cleveland (or at least within a 45-60 min drive). im almost 100% certain. been watching for a few years now so i think he brought it up once. and some of the scenery from city riding i think i noticed. u ride in cle?
@@xdiavelwoman5005 I have a 2019 Xdiavel S with 2 problems : First, the bike send the hit exhaust air back onto my back as soon as I reach over 40 mph. Second, the right side of the seat burns my ass and thigh. I wonder if you have the same problems of if it's just my bike . I hated it so much that I had done less than 300 miles since bought late september 2019.
I think you should re-name the video since the current title made me think that you had already encountered problems with your bike. It should be something like "Common problems with ducati XDiavel" instead.
I have had a few Diavels. One of the two 2012 Diavels would go into neutral when in second gear and letting go of the throttle. A 2011 model I had had the same issue. When I took the 2012 to the dealership to get it repaired under warranty, they told me they couldn't reproduce the problem. I think they didn't know or didn't want to fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
If you are looking for bar end mirrors, take a look at CRG mirrors. Revzilla sells them. The mirror is lined with a rubber gasket that absorbs the vibration from the engine. It's like looking out of a car mirror. I have a set on my Duc.
All those problems sound like irrelevant bitches. I think you can find complaints on any bike. That is a sweet looking bike and you are going to love the torque. As far as vibration in the seat when it's running... it's a huge V twin. Can't wait til you ride it. Congrats again on the new bike.
The back brake was a minor inconvenience when I rode the Xdiavel I thought it was just that I was not used to the position of the forward controls. But then I am used to riding classic Japanese bikes 25 years old or more so I have developed a riding style that compensates for spongy brakes! A word to the wise - main dealerships sometimes ain't all they should be. A dealership is only as good as the mechanics it employs. A good private Ducati expert should be able to do as good or a better job. However I recognise that you may have limited options to shop around!
Smart man. When I rode Ducs, I took it in for the prescribed maintenance. Aside from a slip on on one them, they were stock. Ducati never gave me a hard time about fixing any issues with the bikes...and there were a few. One of them happened a year and several thousand miles after the warranty had expired and Duc still fixed it on their nickle. As to the cold start thing, my second Duc (an STs) had that issue that the first (an ST) didn't have. Turned out to be the gel battery. Put a lead acid in it and it worked fine in the cold. Had the same issue with an FJR later on. Tech replaced battery with a gel and it wouldn't start in the cold. Went back to a lead acid and all was well again.
hey man a little wrenching is part of having a motorcycle, don't let a little cons bring ya down, they are bound to be there...congrats man a 3 bike bike garage, with 3 unique bikes is pretty badass...screw the haters keep doing you
My XDiavels problems: 1. Main problem is getting suspension set. Any bumps cause a sharp upward and backbreaking smack on the butt. Some of this is likely because of front forward footpegs. It's very unnerving when hitting a blind bump as the bike bounces and flexes a lot, especially corners. 2. Fuel gauge sensor. I gave up replacing it after the 3rd one stopped working. 3. I replaced the stock exhaust with a Termi, not for the sound or power but because I was sick of the constant "engine light on". The problem was the exhaust valve always sticking and the cable from the servo snapping. 4. Front wheel gets a bit light at high speed - could be because I can't get the suspension right. 5. Last problem is I can't get rid of it because it's such an Awesome bike
Been following this channel for years. This channel is the reason why I got a 600RR for my second bike. So crazy to see this man own a Ducati. All I can say is good luck.
I have never had a problem with heat from the stock exhaust. The optional comfort seat really improves rear shock to the spine. I really would like Ducati to offer a quick shifter. I think might agree after you really get on the throttle!!!
Hey Cruza, love the bike! Just ride it & don't worry bout other people's issues, I think you're gonna love it. I ride the balls off my Sportster & if something breaks or wears out I just fix it. So far I've had no issues, I don't waste my time worrying about what "could" happen. Look forward to your first ride vid!
My friend’s XDiavel has an issue with the clutch… it grabs extra hard / early when cold… When sitting in traffic, with enough heat it will re-engage and the clutch becomes engaged even with your clutch handle fully depressed… the Character flaw is that it’s a devil and tries to kill you in different ways 🙃 Some people mentioned replacing the slave cylinder but not sure if that’s the same problem with this bike
The brakes issue might also be the Bosch cornering ABS. Initial bite is always reduced with abs because it's a break loose point of failure for traction. You should feel a slight pumping sensation when full ABS intervention is working.
Cyclecruza, I went from a Wr250r to a cruza like u but one thing I have been struggling with is what to wear? Could u do a video what u think you will wear that goes with the cruiser style and also safe...
Ducatis are not like they used to be, the issue they used to have was services were 7,500 miles apart for valve adjustment, and belts. People purchased the bikes and did not properly maintain the motorcycle then complain they breakdown. Now they went to timing chains and stretched their services out to 15k. I have owned a 848, 1198, and Panigale, the only issue I ever had with the 1198 and 848 was the rectifier. The Panigale I have not had 1 problem with it.
Yes, I know the Xdiavel does. I have a Panigale which is every 15k. Ducati stretched their services out in general for motorcycles with timing chains. I am a Ducati tech. they used to be every 7500 miles because the belts needed to be changed. Typically the valves are always good, but they still have to check clearances. Ducati valve adjustments just suck because for each head there is 8 shims (1 opening, and 1 closing shim). So that makes 16 shims to check clearance on. Other bikes usually only have 8 shims. From my experience they are almost always in tolerance and rarely actually need to be adjusted.
Todd Baker finally spmeone woth half a brain. 99% of people who have problems dont do the proper maintenance until it breaks and then complain. Everybike has to be maintained. My cbr600rr left me stranded on a major highway my rsv4 rf has not hmmmm. Doesnt meam Honda is shit lol.
I used to live in colorado! Yes, lots of great scenic twisties. I took my wr250r to pikes peak in a bug out trip back in 2015. Those are fun twisties but all of the slow tourists took away the fun I could have had. th-cam.com/video/m8E6Pw-PVYI/w-d-xo.html
ah you know , all bikes have some problems you know, you have a dream bike, it will come a bit more expensive in a long run, but it's worth it, and you know it! Best wishes from UK!
I rode this bike. No good for us shorties. Im 5’6 and the break and shift controls are up in the front. Not cool. I like to be tucked in when I ride. Makes me not slack off and stay at attention when riding.
Ethanol free fuel is virtually a must for anything that doesn't have it's tank emptied once a month or so. Biobor EB can help avoid those issues, and stabilizes both the ethanol and the gas, and can be used to stabilized ethanol free gas, too...it had the best results in an independent test.
A workmate chopped in the original Diavel (with no problems) for the new XDiavel. Months of grief with engine management problems and it going back to the dealer six times before he said "enough". £1000's poorer, he bought a Triumph Bobber. Ridden really hard it never missed a beat. Changed that for a Triumph Tiger 800 XR, again no problems and now riding a Triumph Thruxton, again hard, and trouble-free. See not all European bikes are unreliable. My '15 BMW R NineT was perfect. Now how to fix the faulty fuel level sensor on my MV Turismo while my '18 Indian Scout is in, waiting for a replacement ABS sensor and engine management issues. Damned electrizicals!
People complain about ice from the freezer... Your Ducati will be fine all bikes vibrate, and give off heat. all bikes are subject to catastrophic failures. No way will the drive belt brake. CC dont listen to those reviews on line. Competition puts out fake reviews... I have 22K miles on my Tenere and 11K on my XR 650 L and if you read the reviews you will cry but no problems with both bikes.
Franco Vision thats very low mileage for both bikes you are good for at least 15k more I own a ktm duke 125 since 2015 I bought it used it had 10.500 miles then, now 30300 I had zero problems except one failed spark plug due to 30mins ride in very heavy rain
owned a honda rr600 and a suzuki gsx r600 and got rid of them after about 2 weeks because the were both flat and boring with no character. Got a ducati and ktm never looked back. 9 years later i just got an x diavel and its simply amazing!
I forgot to mention, Lucas Ethenol fuel stabilizer and treatment, it's the Green colored Lucas bottle at Auto parts store. I keep it in my old cars and old carbed Ninja.
Cyclecruza, I must say I was seriously considering this bike while shopping for my first bike last year... I was kinda looking for a jack of all trades bike that could be used for cruising the city, relaxing rides in the country, but also for the occasional trip to the coast, luggage included. In the end I settled for a new Yamaha FJR1300. The Xdiavel just seems too unrefined, 2 cylinders too few, price too high, maintenance too high, tyres that wear too quickly, no real practicality, no wind protection, no all-weather capability... All it has is that cool factor, even though that too might be dismissed as garish ostentation.
I rode a Scrambler with a Termi and even with earplugs it was booming in my helmet and the plugs were tight. The trouble is the sound is right down there next to you. So I liked the stock exhaust better.
Termi are ridiculous cost. There's other brands that are just as good without the expensive complex "bling" shapes and bends on common systems these days.
So everything has some type of “issue,” and sometimes we create issues like adding mods. Mods aren’t a bad thing but we feel the need to fix something that isn’t broken:-) If you have a little issue here and there I hope you don’t let that diminish you experience, it’s all part of it baby! Can’t wait for you to ride that beast!
Winter fuel. Most ethanol in the winter is a low % of ETH anyway. However, treat it with fuel stabilizer. One oz to 10 gals. 12oz is just $9. Put it in a Gerry can and fill your bike from the can. Keep the tank full. Ride it 2 miles at least every two weeks. Ta da, winter is solved. Ohio is not that cold. I rode the Ocoee and Fort Mountain yesterday (110 mi) at 36 degrees as they finally plowed the weekend foot of snow. Beautiful.
I have had the fuel sensor problem a lot a very easy fix is put a little k100 in every tank of gas. Bleed or replace rear break fluid. Sometimes my reservoirs sweat and finally my clutch slave built up pressure so I put on an aftermarket one and the clutch pull is sweet. The bike is a pain in the butt however its so passionate and beautiful to ride. Enjoy the bike they really are amazing. And it will destroy a Harley.
My friend got one and he had way too many issues since. Rear brake. Clutch. Starter. Fuel gauge. Lost a blinker. Lost a piece of the pipe and so on.....
Bro maybe you should do a fender elimination mod but let Ducati do it. Cyclecruza what happens the first time something gets dragged behind the bike? There goes your tail light. If Ducati does it's won't void the warranty and it's should affect the electrical system.
I was thinking about getting a xdiavel until i saw the drive belt price. belt $629, rear pulley $647.31. That is 6% of the price of a new bike for two drive parts. Plus there are two timing belts and water pump belt that have to be changed every 5 years regardless of mileage $160. That is simply too expensive to maintain. awesome bike, that will drain your savings to maintain.
First time I rode a Ducati 696 a car hit me I liked the way my sv650 felt better but I dont plan on ever buying a Ducati and it was 🔥 between my legs and ass
Bar end mirrors would get rid of those weird gold tone caps but make the bike look cheap, imo. Let the Italians design the Italian bikes, bro. Don't fix what ain't broke.
I have the closed captioning set to show. It thinks your name is Psycho Cruiser. That's what I'l think every time from here on out. Beautiful bike. Enjoy the ride Psycho Cruiser!
I don't understand why Ducati would have their exhaust tips pointed upward to where the seat was. Didn't they see that problem before build completion?
No matter what bike you buy there is a list as long as your arm of 'problems' a lot are people being picky. What you just listed wouldn't put me off buying a bike! Over here in the UK, my friend has a panigale 1199 and aside from the dealer not knowing how to bleed the clutch which I sorted for my mate he hasn't had any problems and 3 years owning the bike. Oh apart from one thing actually.... . It eats rear tyres for breakfast lunch and dinner
So this was 2017........have you ridden it yet? I've got one and it's a missile and blows a lot of the competition away. VRod killer! Oh and I didn't complain before I rode it to get used to it some people....some people.....just ride it an enjoy it

That wouldn't be very click baitish now would it?
Go tell someone that cares
mrblock2013 bwahahaha
No it wouldn't be since what CC did in this video was explaining some common problems that he heard the bike has.
yeah I changed it
Love my XDiavel! No issues! Yes, get the Termis...next level! Roland Sands makes great bling for the bike! Enjoy!
We're very glad that you haven't experienced any of these problems. Could be because you haven't left the garage yet. Lol.
3k for a exhaust? Lmao. I love bikes but the bike exhaust companies are professional robbers hahaha
Exhaust companies are amateurs compared to insurance companies.

How much and where did you get that bike ramp the red one in the floor
Ducatis are not like they used to be, the issue they used to have was services were 7,500 miles apart for valve adjustment, and belts. People purchased the bikes and did not properly maintain the motorcycle then complain they breakdown. Now they went to timing chains and stretched their services out to 15k. I have owned a 848, 1198, and Panigale, the only issue I ever had with the 1198 and 848 was the rectifier. The Panigale I have not had 1 problem with it.
This bike actually has 18k mile valve checks.
I am going to pick up a 2011 one (First Gen) tomorrow, hope I dont get all these problems.
How’s the XDiavel for longer rides 200-500 Miles? Is it comfortable? Is the suspension too stiff?
Bring that Ducati to Colorado in the summer and ride some REAL twisties in the canyons west of Denver.
Lets go. I live in Denver.
Always
I used to live in colorado! Yes, lots of great scenic twisties. I took my wr250r to pikes peak in a bug out trip back in 2015. Those are fun twisties but all of the slow tourists took away the fun I could have had.
th-cam.com/video/m8E6Pw-PVYI/w-d-xo.html
I know some roads through the heart of the Rockies where you can escape the tourists (and just about everyone else).
Why the hell did you move to all places like Ohio? Damn.
ah you know , all bikes have some problems you know, you have a dream
bike, it will come a bit more expensive in a long run, but it's worth it, and you know it! Best
wishes from UK!
So you always call it the "CBR one THOUSand double ARRRRRR", you gotta call the diavel the "FOOKIN DUCATI" everytime you introduce it.
Where can I get those gel padded shorts you were talking about?
I rode this bike. No good for us shorties. Im 5’6 and the break and shift controls are up in the front. Not cool. I like to be tucked in when I ride. Makes me not slack off and stay at attention when riding.
Ethanol free fuel is virtually a must for anything that doesn't have it's tank emptied once a month or so. Biobor EB can help avoid those issues, and stabilizes both the ethanol and the gas, and can be used to stabilized ethanol free gas, too...it had the best results in an independent test.
What happened to never wanting to own a DOOGAAATIII???
Cold start issues happen on some Italian bikes, pick up a lipo battery if you run into it.
Whats the rate on Ducati services there?
Yo Cruza, when you have ridden that XDiavel for a while, could you make a video about cable vs. hydraulic clutches?
Do you really have to drain the gas tank to store it? Why cant you put a fuel stabilizer in it?
Are you going to remove that sissy bar? That’s the first thing I would do. Can’t wait to see how what of it when you take it out for the first ride
I wish u more success with ur channel and great rides with your ducati
15K more miles until what? LOL
a few facts are missing. Did he ever change the belt and what type of belt was it? Everything made breaks but not on an epic scale.
misstyped i meant 25.000 not 15.000 miles until something propably brakes or malfunctions
owned a honda rr600 and a suzuki gsx r600 and got rid of them after about 2 weeks because the were both flat and boring with no character. Got a ducati and ktm never looked back. 9 years later i just got an x diavel and its simply amazing!
It’s 51 degrees in Cleveland brother....Let’s go for a ride! Hopefully you got the Ducati out today
I forgot to mention, Lucas Ethenol fuel stabilizer and treatment, it's the Green colored Lucas bottle at Auto parts store. I keep it in my old cars and old carbed Ninja.
hey CC now that you are out of your comfort zone, will you ever consider to get a harley?
David Ryder i mean not right now but after he gets rid of this bike or decides to buy another
David Ryder yea man i understand.
just a thought tho have a nice day
Cyclecruza that looks like a real dream man cave. Only thing I'd add is a Camaro and a Wrangler.
you mean a twin trurbo supra and 3000gt vr4
Could'nt agree more mate. 2 doors or GTFO. You wanna haul family, get a honda odyssey.
Sure, whatever works for you man. Wanna be JDM tight? Be JDM tight.
CycleCruza I enjoy the honesty. It has directly influenced me in looking at a 2017 CBR1000RR. Digging it more and more! Thank you!
I rode a Scrambler with a Termi and even with earplugs it was booming in my helmet and the plugs were tight. The trouble is the sound is right down there next to you. So I liked the stock exhaust better.
yeah it's crazy to say but the termi exhaust is a bit too loud. I might just keep it stock, 3k is ridiculous.
Limited rear suspension travel and an upright riding position equals spinal compression and pain. This has been noted by many reviewers.
When are you gonna ride the Ducatay
Nothing's perfect bro. You're bike is super cool, so love it for what it is :)
maybe you should have updated your cbr to the new sp model in black
You gotta get some throttle spacers for this baby it makes a huge difference with throttle response.
3000$ exhaust :o Save that money and buy 4th bike to your collection in the future. :)
m k $3000 for a motorcycle exhaust is crazy.
Termi are ridiculous cost. There's other brands that are just as good without the expensive complex "bling" shapes and bends on common systems these days.
IHi, I doubt between buying this Ducati and cbr650f 2018, and after listening to you advices about Honda. I ended buying the cbr650f.
Congrats on the new bike! Btw, I just did a new video on my Ducati XDiavel: th-cam.com/video/ne0LJ4unDEk/w-d-xo.html

So everything has some type of “issue,” and sometimes we create issues like adding mods. Mods aren’t a bad thing but we feel the need to fix something that isn’t broken:-)
If you have a little issue here and there I hope you don’t let that diminish you experience, it’s all part of it baby!
And it will destroy a Harley.
what's k100?
Can’t wait for that first ride. I’m ready to get mine. Real soon
You need to ride that bike, clear your mind, and live in the moment. It will be great!
I’m glad you bought it! You won’t have any issues with it.

NEW VIDEO!
Hey CC, do a video on what you think about Irish Road Racing?
Why you take down your new video: (
It will smooth out at speed and belts last years can't wait for you to get that bad boy out on the road
Keeping it stock is the best idea bro.
I agree
If you have rubber brake hoses switch them to braided metal. Good way to get rid of some of the spongy feeling.
Don't run that corn gas CC. You know what octane number the Ducati requires?
*NEW VIDEO:* 2019 Ducati Diavel 1260: th-cam.com/video/PhWSZBCW8Zs/w-d-xo.html
Good luck with the bike. I happen to LOVE that bike but have only sat on it, not ridden it.
My friend got one and he had way too many issues since. Rear brake. Clutch. Starter. Fuel gauge. Lost a blinker. Lost a piece of the pipe and so on.....
Enjoy your new bike dude. Looks awesome ! Don’t worry about the issues. If they happen, they happen 😉
Bro maybe you should do a fender elimination mod but let Ducati do it. Cyclecruza what happens the first time something gets dragged behind the bike? There goes your tail light. If Ducati does it's won't void the warranty and it's should affect the electrical system.
Fender doesn't bother me tho, nor does the backrest.
This is going to be interesting to see how the reliability is on your ducati. Congrats on the bike bud!
On top of that the belt guard causes rocks to go under the belt and which severely shortens the belt life. However, this bike is AMAZING to ride.
First time I rode a Ducati 696 a car hit me I liked the way my sv650 felt better but I dont plan on ever buying a Ducati and it was 🔥 between my legs and ass
I have had four ducatis, with no issues. starts up fine, etc. etc.
and 3 of them with at least 10,000 miles. maybe I have just been lucky...
Bar end mirrors would get rid of those weird gold tone caps but make the bike look cheap, imo. Let the Italians design the Italian bikes, bro. Don't fix what ain't broke.
Sometimes you can fix loose mirrors with hairspray.
The CBR looks sooooo THICC
TrainerRubyCheah Constantly Battling Rossi
thats why I bought a ducati panigale
Maybe the mirror itself can be popped out to access screws on the inside

Cycle cruza. You have to do a fender eliminator kit pleeeeaase! It would clean it up sooo much.
Other moto vlogers who own this bike say the back pain issues are more related to the seat than the suspension.
We'll see! Some riders on the forum are changing out the rear shock.
I have the closed captioning set to show. It thinks your name is Psycho Cruiser. That's what I'l think every time from here on out.
Beautiful bike. Enjoy the ride Psycho Cruiser!
Bug out down south? I don't know if I'd be able wait a whole winter to ride a brand new bike!
have you ridden it yet???? Can we see?
I don't understand why Ducati would have their exhaust tips pointed upward to where the seat was. Didn't they see that problem before build completion?
I'm stoked on the termy exhaust and the bar ends ! That's one pretty bike
MY NEW VIDEO: Why Douchebags ride Harley and Ducati Bikes: th-cam.com/video/e6MbHafygfg/w-d-xo.html
fuel stabilizers like "Stabil" help w cold starts on all my bikes, FI & carb. esp the carb bikes.
Oh and I didn't complain before I rode it to get used to it
some people....some people.....just ride it an enjoy it
My New Video: One possible concern with Ducati XDiavel: th-cam.com/video/mb381OLkdCk/w-d-xo.html
Gotta be tough! New bike and no clear weather.. it has style no doubt at all. Cool bike!
