Good stuff !! Thank you for sharing !!! POR 15 is great !!! I have used it for over 30 years!!! Just knock the loose rust and scale off before applying. If the metal is going to be in the sun a lot you will need to topcoat it . I have an I - beam over my shop door . It got very rusty and I brushed the loose rust off, brushed on POR 15, and then painted it white. That was 23 years ago and still no rust!! You all be safe and God bless !!!!! Eddy
Dan you are killing it on all theses builds lately. I’ve watched you for many years and I really don’t know how you keep doing all that you do. Keep up the great work I’m enjoying the Chevelle build like so many others. 👍😎✌️
You are one of the hardest woriking guys on youtube. Fast too you get a lot of work done. We are totally spoiled with a video everyday. Wow. Chevelle is a great car and in my book as cool or cooler than a 50s chevy Belairs. The chevelle is the perfected Chevy. I am looking forward to watching this series on the Chevelle. Judging from your past someone might steal your chassis.
Dan getting motivated by going and bustin his Squatchass. I feel you, brother. Working in mine today. Buddies are coming over to help me get to the next step!
I can never see the vision, until you start putting it together. Then, it's like, well that's not so bad to do. Just takes time. I like how you show how the factories slapped shit together and sent it ! The guys who say, they don't build 'em like they used to, don't realize it's not the flex they think it is, lol !
Good video D and D. When you cut the first part of the floor out exposing that the right front rocker was mostly air, I admittedly got a little queasy wishing there were some braces. However the result turned out fine. Love this channel and I am really looking forward to watching progress on this Chevelle. Glad you guys are back to working on keeper cars.
I love the comments: "set up the workbench real quick" then Dan freehands the cut on his knee. Way to go, big guy. 🇨🇦 Boy! What a different feeling when you walked into the other garage and there was a black tri5 sitting there. Surprise - no more 56 Rotten Banana
I used POR 15 on a 48 chevy pickup I built over 20 years ago and had it over 10 years and the POR 15 worked well. I only drove it in good weather and was garaged.
To Danielle, POR sands for Paint Over Rust and likely the 15 part is because they tried 15 different formula’s before perfecting the paint. It’s a paint meant to go right over rusty metal and seal it without having to sand blasting the frame.
I've been using POR- 15 for decades .it stands for paint over rust ,it is not chassis paint. It is not uv protected. It is for painting steel without sanding it first. You decide what it's best used for.
Dan Afco and Joes Racing Products sell 68-72 GM A body individual frame parts. People still use them for circle track. Horns, rails, cross members, mounts ect. Just a heads up for the future. If you didn't already know.
Dan, Daniel my brother!!.. This Chevelle is going to be great! You are off to a great start. You know I've been really sick since January. Today, I felt pretty good. I put doors and windows in my project car. It felt great to do something, but it really knocked me out. I had a little help from my wife. Your videos have been a blessing to me..You guys are the best! ❤ Signed - Your friend, Cancer Man.
I know you don't do Friday videos but I think you should be I really think watching VGG, Stay tuned and DD speed shop is an awesome Friday. I believe that you are all equal ♥️
The way Dan has done his stuff is always given us something to watch on the off days so he's not competing against others so heavily. But have you noticed that the last few weeks he's been doing these daily
Sitting here thinking when we used to drink as much beer as we could hold and then fly down narrow blacktop Iowa roads in a red '68 Chevelle with the old 396 (325 hp) wound as tight as it would go. Amazingly enough, none of us turned out to be rocket scientists.
We did the same thing near iowa city. Those old gravel roads were fun, until one of our friends nearly died when they hit a telephone pole and snapped it in half. He was pronounced dead on the operating table but they got him going again. Still alive and kicking that dude... 45 years ago.
Making me want to get another Chevelle Dan, but one with very little or at least less rust though. lol Get this thing near 55 Nomad nice and it's a winner!
Deep breaths Dan. U are tough.
Dan is among the brave few soles who would even attempt this. Can't knock it until you've tried it. Great channel project.
Yeah its a project haha

Interesting to know that internet wives are checking out your feet!
Excited to see the end result. Great job Dan
X brace in the doors and a X brace back of door pockets left to right. used to use 1"x1" square tubing.

I like that you started this Chevelle and you fit
In it. This will be a good build
Awesome job on getting the old floor pan removed . Lots of work to do in the inner part of the car. Keep up the great work.
POR stands for Paint Over Rust

Dan getting motivated by going and bustin his Squatchass. I feel you, brother. Working in mine today. Buddies are coming over to help me get to the next step!

Plasma cutter! Wow, this Chevelle is getting the royal treatment!!!!! 😂
Can't wait to see that Chevelle coming together 👍💯
Good video D and D. When you cut the first part of the floor out exposing that the right front rocker was mostly air, I admittedly got a little queasy wishing there were some braces. I was just thinking about telling you to wire wheel the frame and POR 15 IT WHEN YOU SAID IT!😊😊😊
That's a huge job you're taking on! Saving another one from the crusher! Hats off to you both!
That plasma cutter works really good. The floor is gone, wow. It looks like you’re off to a great start. Cheers!! 😊
Looking good
Great content so far on the Chevelle
This is my favorite part Dan !!! You`ve got the Feel for the Steele !!! You can`t go wrong with Danni by your side. Rave - On Danni and Dan !!!
Haha its always the hardest part
hello danes.finally let out of bed. thank you for giving me your show.
Queen Danielle. You’re right up there girl.
Jolene doesn’t get bossed around the way Dani does!
I know it ain't a tri-5 but I'm looking forward to this build 👍
Good job 👏
“I cleaned up but I know it’s still garbage for most people” LOL! I can relate to that comment. Everything I own is junk in most people’s eyes.
Here in Minnesota,we call it a "protective layer of rust"
I used POR 15 on a 48 chevy pickup I built over 20 years ago and had it over 10 years and the POR 15 worked well. I only drove it in good weather and was garaged.
Side Grinder Master! Tacker Supreme 😅👍👍👍
Hello Dan n Dannie
Looks like the neighbor took his Four Runner somewhere to get that mysterious black paint speckling removed.
I love Dani’s film editing, we might see her at the 2024 Emmys!
We love Danny and Dani. You guys are so cool and keep the great content a coming ah

Man, this car is gonna be awsome. I can't wait to see more on the 70 chevelle
There will be alot of it gaha
POR 15 is a treatment to encapsulate the rust. You should put paint over it.
Frame off resto... Nice!!
Lot of work ahead of you.
Yeah the first cut it always the hardest
I've been using POR- 15 for decades .it stands for paint over rust ,it is not chassis paint. It is not uv protected. It is for painting steel without sanding it first. You decide what it's best used for.
Good job dan.
smokey you did it🥰😃😃😃😃😃😃
Big jobs that I am tackling on my own I plan them in my head for days. Then I tackle them and deal with the unforseen that always shows up.
im overwhelmed just listening to what you are saying bro
Here we go again. It’s time for another great video 👍👍
Looking great Dan. 👍

Pirates of the Caribbean called. They want their wooden gantry crane back.
You doing a great job. Sometimes it’s hard to weld new metal to old metal.
Dan, Daniel my brother!!.. This Chevelle is going to be great! You are off to a great start. You know I've been really sick since January. Today, I felt pretty good. Hope you feel better man!
So far so good!
Glad to see your back at work on the chevell it's going to be a great car 👍
Love the Chevelle build, have a 72 myself
I know you don't do Friday videos but I think you should be I really think watching VGG, Stay tuned and DD speed shop is an awesome Friday. I believe that you are all equal ♥️

On the plus side, you don't have to listen to Dan pushing every gimmicky, overpriced nutritional supplement that throws a few bucks his way.
@@morecowbell69 He certainly won't be telling you to chew it and do it anytime soon
I believe I can fly
I’ve been looking forward to this build, this is going to be a great car
thanks for the comment at the end... I'm going back out into the shop for a hour and get something done!
Looking good. Keep up the good work!!!

Dan, I really like your rusted floor pan removal! I could DO THAT. Keep up the Good instructions for all us hackers...
❤❤ I love your videos, awesome content😊
Nice! Good progress fo sho
Making me want to get another Chevelle Dan, but one with very little or at least less rust though. lol
Get this thing near 55 Nomad nice and it's a winner!
To keep everything in place weld the doors to the quarters you'll be replacing anyway.
Plasma cutters are soo nice!
Yayyyyyyy Chevelle time. 😂
POR 15 is an oil based enamel paint that has a rust neutralizer in it and you can literally Paint Over Rust
Going to be a great built
Dan, zip disc cut on the leg bench ,really! Living on the edge there buddy. One slip and your not making video's for a bit.
This is going to be a real fine 70 when your done!
Looked a little sketchy at first, but you pulled it off Dan! Good camera work Dani!
Before you cut the floor and rockers out you should weld the braces in been there done that body always twists if you don’t
