I could see superman wearing power armor/ armored suit when fighting villains such as parasyte or metallo's kryotonite powers, also funnily enough in star wars lore the first lightsaber had a external battery pack with a cable connected to the sword so it's kinda funny that one of superman's costume would use a similar concept.

Wrong. What got rid of the super-mullet was Supes marriage to Lois. There is a panel in the wedding issue were Clark says that he cut his hair for this important day, and that happened a few months before the transformation into electric blue happened.

I think my least favorite was the Power Armor one. The fact that it’s just “Superman’s costume, but as power armor” seems like a wasted opportunity. The best costume redesigns, in my opinion, should have some significance outside of just being to change. Spider-Man’s Symbiote suit has come to mean a darker, less responsible Spider-Man, and there was an entire game where that costume represented a different kind of Spider-Man! That, in my opinion, is the best kind of costume change.
Can't beat the classic Superman costume. Oh, and Superman Red and Superman Blue was a famous Silver Age "Imaginary story", so that may be where the idea came from.

I loved the "Space Samson" look he had at the end of the Exile storyline. He had a loincloth and his cape as a Samson robe. Plus a full, thick beard. The 90s were so perfect there was never any need to ever have other decades!
Imo, Superman just looks wrong without the red trunks. I actually got a good laugh out of that new Superman cartoon on Adult Swim when Ma Kent specifically added the red trunks to the original costume, because of how bad it looked without them.

I remember really liking the Superman Red and Blue design as a kid, I think it holds up today. Also I've never seen that 'Metropolis' costume til today, and I actually really dig it. I think though that it needs to also signify some character change, like the two tone back could represent a duality, the larger crest could represent a bigger tie to his roots as a cryptonian, maybe he has an era appropriate appreciation for his 'status' that his powers afford him.
The best superheroes all seem to be something like a lightning in a bottle. Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, all have perfect costumes. For years they try to make new costumes, some were attempts of permanent, but they never substitute the original.
The black costume makes it look like they’re copying Spider-Man’s symbiote costume during Secret Wars. (Before you attack me, the Symbiote costume came out in the 80s while Supes black costume came out in the 90s)
I like superman blue, I think it captures the idea of superman having to almost take on a new perspective. "I have to do things differently now, I have to be a different hero...but still carry my ideals" this is what an electric superman would look like, you still get the iconic crest, you get the simple yet effective unitard, new streaks of white to help pop from all the dark blue
They should just make the yellow of his chest field blue or black, and get rid of the red trunks again. Make the suit all dark blue, from neck to toe. During Superman's depowered phase of the New 52 I actually really liked the shirt and jeans look for it. It signified that not only was Clark close to the normal people, but Superman was as well. It gave me vibes of the "Champion of the Oppressed" Superman from the golden age. Maybe it was more just because I didn't like the Jim Lee New 52 Superman design all that much.

I like Minimalist design, so my favorites are the Erradicator during Reign of Supermen, Justice Lord Superman from Justice League cartoon and the one from Batman beyond.

I'd say it looks more like that than anything I've ever seen in anime but truth be told I just remembered that I have seen a handful of "okama" characters sporting a curl like that one, like Magee from Gundam Build Divers for example. (He's never explicitly called an okama but he fits the anime trope of them to a T and his Gundam Love Phantom even wields a giant scythe and kama is Japanese for sycthe and 大(big/giant/great in English) can be pronounced ou, they knew exactly what they were doing)
Once while bored, I started playing with an image of Electric Superman Blue in MS Paint. I recolored all the white parts red and changed all the energy around him to yellow. It looked like crap due to my already limited artistic skills, but on some level it seemed that in the hands of a better artist, it would have been far better than the monchrome blue or red costume.
I wasn't aware that Nomura did a line of figures (I've only ever seen the Batman one). I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY fan and for me Nomura's style tends to walk the line between appealing and frustrating. For instance, I will never not hate Donald Duck's zipper hat but I really like his take on Goofy's outfit. I really don't like his superhero designs though as I feel his style is the antithesis of a good superhero outfit (especially DC heroes). Namely simple and striking. I pretty much agree with everything you said on the Superman figure and I can't stand the Batman one.
Honestly, having New52 Clark go back to T-shirt and Jeans look felt like a blue collar original power set super man, with the story around his time being mostly depowered being some of the (arguably) best writing before his death.

Sort of like how Elizabeth Swan was the daughter of a politician but got caught up with a pirate and a pirate's son.

i thought the underwear was suppose to protect there you know i thought it had extra protection so no one can punch them in the groin 😂 it made sense like villians would want to punch them in the groin to win so having a extra protection that showed they couldn’t
