This video actually came up because I went to the barbershop recently and some of the dudes There aren’t major car people and were blown away that my Supra could take out hellcats. So I just decided to make a video because they seemed like they were blown away by the topic.
Because everyone thinks hellcats beat everything because they see they have so much hp.

Fun fact: If you find a Lexus Sc300 or SC400 and the fog light housings need to be replaced ,I heard that the fog lights from the Dodge Intrepid fit perfect.

@@maciejnowak666 I only know this because I have a 2nd gen Intrepid and a friend of mine has an SC300 and he needed fog lights so he told me he tokk them off an Intrepid. (This parts sharing only works with the 2nd gen Intrepid made from 1998-2004 from what I know)

@@maciejnowak666 HAHA! Not really. Mine sadly doesn't have the fog lights but I'd like to get the bumper for fog lights so I can convert it over. Also thats sweet! Mine is currently being a big pain in my rear end but I love it. Just a shame anything somewhat reliable in ok shape is stupid expensive.
I'm very glad that he mentioned how much the BMW is going to break down. The amount of money I spent maintaining an M5 was freaking ridiculous. That's even with me doing most of the work myself. That car left me stranded out of town on my first anniversary with my wife. Never again. I love them. They're amazing cars. But at this point, I feel the same way about BMWs that grandparents feel about grandkids. They LOVE their grandkids, but also love being able to give them back to mom and dad.

I like this list of cars. My 5.9 Cummins w/Garret turbo did decent on a 50 roll vs. my friends Hellcat. His wasn’t stock though.
The Golf/Jetta platform is another great option. The 1.8ts when tuned probably go crazy. Even a Vr6 Turbo can do some work. The fun part they can be found for so cheap!
Same with the 1.9 TDI's too, can make stupid hp & tq

I have a 1.8T with an intake (proper and baffled) larger stock fit intercooler, R8 sparky boys, 3" _turbo_ back pipes and a tune to about 18-2opsi. 2 step sounds insane and no lift shift is fun and new to me. I can barely keep it straight lol.

The thing that I love about Hellcats is that while they’re notoriously shitted on in the Car Community for being Heavy or Slow, People still use them as a measuring tool/feat for when they’re explaining to others how fast their car is. Not a knock on Drew, it’s just a common trend I see. If Hellcats are slow, why don’t you go race a Boosted 10 Speed? An actual fast car?

Because the layman think that hellcats are the “fastest” thing on the road so it’s what a lot of comparisons use.
They are shit on because they are slow for 700. While they are fast, a lot of other sports cars would walk them with the same power

Nobody that’s a true enthusiast uses a hellcat as a measuring tool. We use million dollar supercars as measuring tools, not lame Dodge 😂

so gonna add something to the rsx section of the video: If you want power over anything and have money get the type s because it has 40 hp more than base model but if you want reliable and cheap boost get the base model. they have lower compression so theyre more reliable when boosted(than the type s). Also you can buy them for next to nothing since its a base model. (also parts are interchangeable between both engines)
I kind of wish I bought a base model rsx as I couldnt find any type-s so I ended up picking up a rare 6 mt tsx with plans to boost it but quickly realized that they arent as many supporting mods as the rsx platform
Not true with today tuning and technology it’s super reliable and can push up to 500hp stock internal while base can only go up to 300hp then ur rods goes boom this is not 2010 no more kpro has improve and aftermarket parts are more advance
I have a b20 integra, even without boost and a built bottom end these things are so fun just to rip around as a good daily too, Honda 👍
I think the SC300 is a clean vehicle modded but yeah on stock wheels and stock ride height yeah they definitely look like a grandma Mobile
No hate to you drew, I owe my respect to you, but. I don't think you understand that you also don't need much to make power out of a Hellcat. Not trying to sound like a fanboy. But these engines are known to have great potential when you mod them for mod I'm telling you, they even respond very well to just simple modifications. You could easily modify them to 1000hp without even opening the motor.
That wasn't the point, and he was mentioning out of the box just bought stock power. But the people that buy them think they are driving the fastest car on the planet. And yes, you are right. If you mod it, it will gap other cars. But with the you can always build better than you can buy, it is the same thing as always for the ones that think they are Dom Toretto because they got brand new showroom MOPAR. I got a stock Hellcat the fastest car on the Planet. No, you bought the car with the most horses, the problem is that it also weighs a lot since its platform started out as a Benz and is as heavy as AF.
Power isn't everything though, the hellcat weighs like 4500 pounds. You can build up a 3200 pound car to probably 600hp and have a chance to beat a hellcat. There's more to consider than just engine hp.
There's a thing called power to weight my guy.
The hellcat sits at 6 pounds per hp stock. Even with 1000 hp it's at 4.2 pounds per hp.
A 3000 pound car with 500 hp is even, however the hellcat has a ten speed auto that extremely efficient so let's make it 550 in a 3000 pound car would do the trick to a stock one. Only 150ish more HP and you've erased your 300 HP gain. 700 HP in a C5 vet is nothing, and probably costs $25k
But let's say you got a crx or Miata or something. 2000 - 2250 pounds, you'd only need 350 - 400 hp to match a stock hellcat. 500 - 550hp would beat a 1000hp hellcat easily, only 100ish more HP would erase your gains.
Modding your hellcat still doesn't save you lol.
And if it's a bike? Forget about it. You'll get gapped by a $3000 600cc. Most bikes are well under 3 pounds per hp, even non-performance oriented bikes, old, stock, clapped out, dig it out of some dudes shed, get it running and gap a hellcat 😂
Also Drew, a b20 with a vtec is a great choice for all motor. Sadly the b20 can't handle much boost. Your asking to blow ur motor with b20/vtec turbo setup

feels bad when no mustang on the list :( you can get a new edge mustang for 1500$ running or not, throw a junkyard 3rd gen coyote in it for 6k-8k , intake, full exhaust and a tune on E85 an youve got a 500+ whp NA build in a 3000lb chassis

@@miopiispanen7907 just keep in mind the t5 and t6 P1 engines arent solid deck blocks the top half of the cylinder walls are hollow for coolant passages which isnt good for high hp most people shim the block and run 500 somewhag reliably but thqts the t5 and t6 weakpoints if they werent open deck engines they would be alot more sought after but you are right they can make good power with a bit of work im swapping a 960 rn with my s80 motor

1st gen SCs/ 3rd gen soarers look actually good and I don't think my mind will ever be changed on this. Sleekest use of double headlights I've seen
I think you should’ve replaced the rsx type s with a fa5 8th gen civic , the civic comes with lsd from factory stock k20z3 revving to 8500 stock , amazing suspension with electric steering no leaky power steering and 4drs !!! I like the prefer the 8th gen si as the ultimate drivers car and there’s so many ways to make over 450hp easy either turbo or supercharger
I have a 2002 rsx type s, I have 250k miles on it and it still revs to 8k and vtec works great. With maintenance you can’t kill it

I think another good option for the C5 would be spray. Depends how much you want to spray though. Build the engine just a little bit and put in a nitrous kit and your gone

I was hoping the Saab 9-3 aero would make it on here :( I'm defiantly biased, but it is an extremely underrated planform for power. Plus almost all 9-3 aeros are sub 8k. Id highly suggest looking into those lovely quirky cars.

manual 5th gen camaro ss. heads/cam/intake can make 500+ if you build it right
You should do a part two but add a B8 A4 because those cars will slaughter hellcats with only a couple mods. They are some of the best looking cars for their age too.

Different opinion: I feel that the SC300 gets a lil too much hate. I really think you if done right you can build one to look pretty nice n perform decently well. But the sad fact is that most of these get clapped out n live in the realms of things like the EG Civics n Ultimas doin takeovers
z32 300zx. NA-TT setup on E85 with bigger intercoolers, injectors, pump and some bigger than stock spinny boys and you should be able to beat a hellcat too.

Nissan Altima 2004-2011 3.5 V6 engine modded piece it right, 290hp to 800hp, 3,500 pounds and front wheel drive, also can swap 5.3 LS 330hp from Any GM W body 2006-2009 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 2004-2009 5.3 V8, Chevy Monte Carlo 2006 5.3 V8, Chevy Impala SS 5.3 V8 330hp V8 2006-2012,
Bmw 340i shit has the gen1 b58 in it and u slap a hpfp downpipe flash tune and u have like 500+ whp all wheel if u buy the xdrive
Z31 300zx is another great option!, you can get a pretty "okay" manual turbo model for around 6k here in the midwest, slap an exhaust, big turbo, boost controller, upgraded fuel system, gutted manifolds, and regrinded cams (optional) to make around 400 whp reliably on the stock block. Standalone ECU helps too but you can get a nistune license or secondhand cracked ECU for pretty cheap. Overall its a sub 20k build that can RIP if you do the right mods.

@@Perfect_Pizza bet. The 300zx TT is a monstrous car, but expensive. But if you get a regular 300zx and do your own turbo setup, they can be modded to make 500+ HP on a stock block and last forever. You can hardly find a 300zx that hasn't been modded to hell and back.

I’m actually in this boat right now I’m already past my 20k mark cause I bought an 2015 audi A3 with 30k miles but for 3k I’m gonna do a is38 hybrid, Downpipe, and intercooler with ECU and TCU tuning and hopefully I’ll be pushing around 470-500whp
rode in a 580hp B18 de sol and that was a ride I won't forget.
My manual M2Competition destroys Hellcats, and it's stock aside from 101 octane, makes about 475whp/420lb ft and weighs a touch over 3400lbs (btw Drew, the S55 engine from the M2C and M3/M4 is the *TRUE* german 2JZ. Its a proper M-Division engine, high revving and makes huge power reliably. The engine is a closed deck with fully forged internals, it's not a basic-bitch N55). I haven't even started modifying and stripping it yet (it's a '21, still waiting on a decent ECU crack. Same type of ecu as the manual Supras).
Hellcat drivers love to try and get me to race them, but theyre betrayed by a ridiculous power to weight ratio, a shitty chassis, and a pretty low-revving engine, every single time. I'm not sure what the Hellcat 0-60 is exactly, but the M2C's is reliably 3.7-3.9 secs and I seem to be able to pull away from Hellcats with ease.
Could be that most of the people who own them are just shitty drivers who mash the throttle, which isn't too far fetched at all, but its really all about power to weight, and Hellcats weigh as much as most Euro and JDM SUV's.

If your talking about drag racing hellcats do pretty good just a basic hellcat redeye with a drag radial tire stock runs low 10’s in the 1/4 mile . Normal hellcat like mid to high 10’s . Just with a simple pully change and tune 9’s . A c5 corvette with just basic bolt ons N/A no boost or nitrous is not touching low 10’s 1/4 mile . Now days with factory stock cars runing 10’s you have to be running mid 9’s to be 1 step ahead . Electric cars different story runing low 9’s stock and high 8’s with weight mods. Have to be runing mid 8’s to be one up on those cars
Your Wrong Drew...The JDM Soarer or Aristo I have does come from Japan with a 2JZGTE and the Soarer has a 1jzgte... they r legal now to buy.....Same engine as Supra..non vvti and vvti....A true sleeper...especially Aristo...ugly 1st gen gs....but fast as hell ....4 door supra in disguise brother...RLTW

Drew I know you shit on mini coopers a lot but they are also really good little cars, I have driven my 03 Cooper S like a maniac for the past 4 years and it has never left me stranded not once. (Gen 1 cooper S came with the W11 supercharged 4 cyl) basically a german engineered B series so it’s shitty but that’s the worst of it, super light weight, super fun to drive AND easy to modify. (Tons and tons of aftermarket support) honestly I don’t have one complaint about it. It’s a daily so I’ve only got an intake catless DP and intercooler with some pulleys and accessories and a safe tune to tie it together and keep it reliable but it keeps up with lots of modern sports cars… with heated leather seats and a panoramic sunroof and 2 12” subs in the trunk haha. the supercharger whine is so much fun and honestly there’s not much you can do to break the thing, Like I said I’ve driven like a MANIAC over the last 4 years of ownership and it has never let me down once. Sure a check engine light came on fixed itself a few times but did it ever stop running right or driving? Nope😅
Sc300 2jzge and gte block is the same, only difference is the oil squirters. Oil squirters get eliminated when the block is built unless its a drift car. If you slap a 2jzgte head its a full on 2jzgte out of a mkiv supra, a 1.5jz is when you use a 1jzgte head.
I almost bought a drop top c5 with a supercharger kit for 15k about 3 or 4 years ago and I low key regret it now xD

@@ZetsuboNoShima You could go with the LT1, but might as well go to a early 2000s when they swapped in the LS1 in place of the LT1, building on a LS will be cheaper and way easier to find parts you need

I had a Z3 for 4 years (same power train, just a smaller lighter car) and it was very reliable. If the 335i can beat a hellcat just by adding a turbski then the Z3 could too, and it looks better. Just get yourself an aftermarket hard top, that wind noise is vicious.
I’m planning to make 300hp in my stock block accord, fully gutted probs fiberglass fenders getting it as light as possible, I know scatpacks will be a walk in the park, but I’m hopping I can gap some cats

Drew you should add an 2003-2006 Mercedes S600/CL600 they have 500 go from factory and with less than 5k in mods you will have over 700 hp, like you said not talking about reliability
Yeah those early TT S600s are faster than E55 AMGs stock for stock too.

@@theradimalgames3773 yup, when you get one make sure to immediately replace the intercooler pump with the Bosch 010 updated one unless you’re going FBO right away. I drive mine pretty gently and don’t plan on doing any mods until the car has 100k miles or so. These engines are pretty bulletproof as long as you maintain them properly
SC300 prices in Chicago or around the area are stupid crazy 3k will get u a 300k SC00😂😂
