    Very cool project... Love the pull-out kitchen. One comment, though... Trailer axles usually have a slight curve to them (helps with tracking at highway speeds and tire wear). You might notice some uneven wear on the inside of your tires because you've essentially added some negative camber that will be accentuated when you add weight. You can rectify that by flipping the spring perches 180 degrees to keep the curve "up".

    Trailer looks great and super practical . How does it handle the side rocking when 4wding ? Always wandered how much a high up- heavy tent would impact a square section frame on a small trailer. Did you reinforce the structure or found it not necessary at all ? Well done, enjoy it! Cheers

    • @taylorpoe
      @taylorpoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It rocks a little bit due to the leaf packs. I'll probably want to put some small struts on eventually to dampen it out. I haven't taken it on anything too aggressive yet but I feel confident it's going to do well. The frame is super strong, not sure what the steel wall thickness is, but it's beefy.

    That massive cantilever means that kitchen unit will wobble about like a ship on a choppy sea. Anyone touches the trailer anywhere and the kettle on the burner will probably spill its contents. Imagine someone turning over in bed at the same time as someone else is cooking breakfast. It'd be chaos. These things look trick", but that is seriously impractical.
