Dug up this old video recently. My two best friends. Jiggs passed away in 2019. I believe we never posted this anywhere because Matt was lipsyncing to the recording we had done separately and mis-sung one wrong word.

What was the highest heat reading so far? Is it possible to get to 180F?
140º. Infrared penetrates your body to heat tissue up internally, so it doesn't need to get as hot as dry saunas (180-210º) range which heats you externally
What are the dimensions on your build?
That plastic sauna gives off tremendous amounts of VOCs....
Dude what base trailer is that? All I want is something I can enclose and store camping gear inside of and extra fuel and propane on the outside.
It was a custom build. I bought it off a guy on facebook marketplace. Would definitely recommend enclosing the trailer. Even in Cali - where it doesn't rain - all the contents got super dusty on certain trails.
good idea to switch them out
I switched out the internal hardboard to 1/2 plywood and then brad nailed aromatic cedar strips to it. So much better - wish I had done this from the start.
Did you cover the top of the trailer with anything to protect it from weather? Or dust etc as you were driving down the road?
Thanks for sharing. I used your video to set up my new system. The only thing I changed was adding connections since I used a danner 1200 pump. I also plan to add a ball valve the next time I drain it.
What trailer did you start with?
Great idea.
What is the base trailer? How much was it at the time? Are you building these for sale?
Now that is an awesome build.
Watching guys fix things is like watching porn for some ladies, just saying
😂😂😂 I’m a man but this made me laugh!!
great demo! lots of great ideas to help for my own build
Baller! I wanna make one now.
You should! You're welcome to come try it out first too
Any idea where to get that base trailer from?
Dude I’m trying to build the ultimate indoor green house/ steam room combo because I live in a trailer in the Lower NE that doesn’t have central heat and temps. 😅
What about building a little wooden slatted platform for your feet?
preciso de corrediças de gavetas . sou Brasil.
All you Need is a 270 Awning
where did you buy those drawers rails
What would you use other than MDF?
I switched out to 1/2 plywood and then brad nailed aromatic cedar strips to it. So much better - wish I had done this from the start.
How did you protect the plywood from rain?
Great job guys love your work. 👍
Why use a trailer if you have a pickup truck? Do it all on a pickup truck

I got little nervous about you sleeping in that trailer with only some small wheel chocks between you and that canyon floor (an I assume river)!
Great video!
Hope those drawers work after the first rainfall.
What I dont see is where the trailer came from or a brand name. GJ!
Love how it's exposed to the element's. Not many builds can handle this. Good work!✔️✔️✔️
Thats crazy over kill. At that point just build a real sauna.
Cool man you don’t even really need the tent now
Yeah ended up getting rid of it - way better
Nice video and great work! I was thinking of doing nearly the same thing with the exact sauna from Amazon. I had the thought of getting rid of the tent completely and lining the inside of home built sauna with reflective insulation wrap over the foam board instead of the board you used and mounting the infrared heaters from the tent inside. Do you think this would be possible? - as far as removing the hardware from the tent and installing inside the home built sauna? Thank you for any reply! Also if you have any interest in a DIY cold plunge head over to my channel! I just post a DIY IBC tote plunge!
Very possible - I actually completely removed the tent after this video. realized it was better without it. I'm actually gonna remove the hardboard from the interiors and add these cedar strips to the inside in a Part II video soon. www.homedepot.com/p/American-Pacific-3-3-4-in-x-Random-Length-Aromatic-Red-Cedar-Shiplap-Planking-15-sq-ft-pkg-HD60-15S/319614105
@@taylorpoe so did you remove the hardware from the tent and install in your box or go with something else?
@@highcountryoutdoor Yeah I just mounted the electrical unit on the back of m box and passed the wires in, then connected them to the panels which I just added some strips to hold them in place.
....click....
Too bad you didn't learn about how infrared saunas work before you wasted all that effort.
Elaborate
Why?
Lol gotta love cynical critics who offer no further explanation

Cutting the MDF is the most hazardous part of using MDF.
Turn the panels inside out and put the mdf outside. Definitely don’t want to breathe the glue solvents…bad stuff
its great you wife knows where she belongs......the kitchen!!!
You need to weld gussets on that frame on the upper corners, or they'll crack. I have a similar build and it happened to me.
fantastic job!
Thank you!
Nice size, really small size - exactly what I am considering... Fits in my shower-room.
I love your build and your idea. I love the trailer concept. Now all I need to do is build this get rid of my gas guzzling dodge and get a Tacoma and I'm ready. Seriously I. Am going to be doing tons of camping this next year with Royal Rangers and I need this whole set up lol
Thanks! Yeah, just get the Tacoma and you can go anywhere!
Excuse my ignorance, but can that grade of plywood get wet?
This is pre-finished plywood and water resistant, but I definitely didn't take the trailer out when weather was bad. I also stored it indoors.
pretty cool but infrared isnt real sauna
nice, i would consider two vents, top and bottom.
MDF - what??? Do some research into that stuff guys
That made me cry. I have a troubled Son and he feels like giving up, so many times he’s tried yet his pain is mine for I love him so much. Cheers mate. Beautiful song. I’ve never heard the original and I don’t care to because you sir nailed it for me. 🇦🇺
Mate! I gotta tellya, I’ve seen some trailer builds and what you have done here is bloody grouse ay. Top job fella. Cheers. 🇦🇺
