- We put Bolo's B20V on the dyno with a Type R intake to compare against the Edelbrock Victor X Intake. After only an intake change, we net some pretty significant power gains.

I'm an older guy, but I changed jobs and recently bought an 1994 Accord, and I got "hooked" I am learning from the ground up on these cars, and recently found your channel, and then I ran into this video of how you are helping people, that is AWESOME, God bless you guys man. Great stuff guys.. I've done a similar test on my 1.8L LSvtec with 3 intake manifolds at EBTEC with my bro/tuner James.. Setup mad 218whp and 138tq with the Edelbrock Victor X but felt sluggish in the low-end range.. Then I installed a Blox IM and lost 10whp and 5tq up top but yielded about 5whp and tq in the low-mid range. Needless to say I switched back to the Edelbrock VictorX.. I then switched to the Skunk2 Ultra Street IM which yelided me the best results.. Made 220whp and 148tq with 10-17whp & tq gains throughout the majority of the power band over the VictorX.. Car feels like a whole different animal now..
those are good numbers im making 217hp on 93 YCP ITR reps 84mm manley rods tuner 3 cams 74mm TB i just put together a 13:7.1 acording to wiseco this one is going on E85

I traded my victorX for the performer X since I'm going all motor, is the PerformerX comparable to the ultra street or is the ultra street still way better?

Same here! Also, what are the pros vs cons of stock itr throttle body vs ported to 70mm skunk2 on itr manifold? Movement of power band or increase across the range? I’m currently running a stock itr with IHE and looking for street power adders. Tuning on S300 as soon as COVID settles down. Love the content. Same here. I dont think i have seen a good comparison with the skunk2 vs other manifolds. Also, I remember the edelbrock performer x being the best manifold for a all motor street car.

Thanks for the like and on my setup do I just get a bigger port and also port the head just slightly I got a Jdm h22 and all I did was remove the butterflies and eliminate all the coolant lines so it’s just a big u but ima take it off and port all that shit all motor gang for life

Personally I don’t need any help, I like to send small car builders with small channels little items to help them out, like camera tripods, microphones, paint mixing sticks, and bondo mixing sheets so they can do bodywork and paint on the channel. Like the little guys that aren’t sponsored by big corporations. And watch the projects from start to finish. A few VW channels, and Garage Idiots. I am surprised what a little help can do in the end. Bolos car is super clean . That’s what I need in my life as a commuter , clean coupe with 200-220 whp make driving back and fourth to work something to look forward to.

Yes. For those that didnt know, the power-band shifts around between different manifolds, even the stock GSR manifold is a good street manifold. VictorX is better for Turbo/Top End performance
Humble Performance I've recently started seeing these car and car parts raffles where you buy a limited spot and the winner (chosen at random) gets the car or part and other randomly selected winners get cash prizes. Im not sure exactly whats involved in doing this but maybe this can be an idea you can use to give money to more people who need it. Hope this isnt a dumb idea. Love your content btw.

Go for shorter intake plenum for high rpm power. Longer intake plenum will lower down your power curve down below. Assuming the diameters of the plenum stay the same.

This is the perfect example of "peak numbers don't tell the whole story". Intake manifolds are all about mid-range torque

HAVE YALL EVER thought of building all motor K and have it raffled in certain amount of tickets( for the cost of motor+ your labor cost) it would be very popular at least we know its built the right way.. I would love to hear if you guys would entertain that IDEA.
Stock ITR parts are so good, that in many cases, aftermarket mods net a loss over stock!

I'm a truck driver and window tinter on the side to make extra money. I'm a honda man for life. I had a 95 HB with a 98R swap but sold it. I had the crx with a b16 and a 90 DA with a ls/vtec that I built myself. Anyways let me know if you decide to do it again because I would love to help.

What Rpm does Vtec engage. Sounds like 4300-4500rpm?
I would imagine the shorter intake manifold would make more power cause the air can pass through quicker instead of absorbing all the heat off a long intake chanell. Probably why Sr20 2jz and rb engines got short intake manifolds
