What's up Joey, can you do a diy video of those sponge filters with the moving bed media sitting on top. It looks like an interesting filter to have in the tank. Pretty sure it's simple but I don't know where to start.
Tiger shovel-nose catfish get the same size and have the same reputation as Redtail catfish with slurping up tank mates, risky to put in the 2,000g if that's the plan, when it gets to around 2-feet other smaller fish are gonna look like dinner. Giraffe-nose catfish would be a better long-term choice for the 2000g, they are far more chilled and easy going.
love the vid, in the uk wew dont get as many of these fish in our stores so its always nice watching these type of videos seeing different fish from around the world :)
You can fly with fish in a bag. I checked with the TSA. Not sure about Cananda. I travel for a living and stop at fish stores when I have time. I just fly home with my new fish.
Hey Joey, Great video. About your desire for Altums, I've been in the hobby for approx 70 years and was considering them too. But six months ago I saw the 'newer' Koi Angels . . . Gorgeous! My two stars are 5" and I would shoot you a photo or two but can't figure out how to do it in the comments of your video. Keep the programs just the same as you've been doing. Its great! Bob

I just put in my first order from them a few days ago! They got in some red tail barracudas, they list them as Falcatus but in their video they’re actually the much rarer dwarf species Isalineae!
Fellow Canadian here, never knew you can’t own turtles in Nova Scotia, but I do know there’s no fly river turtles in Canada that have entered the country legally.
Out of curiosity, what kind of paperwork do you fill out to bring all the fish back across the border. I'm in Winnipeg, and I've looked when I'm in the US, but I've never bought, not knowing what I can and cannot bring across. Did you get any hassles from the border guards? Thanks for the behind the scenes, and all the great vids!!!
