DAMN!!! that was a long video huh? anyways, link in description to the filter. I knew you would ask. TO BE NOTED: This will be my only saltwater tank. and i LOVE IT!!! im enthralled with macro algae tanks. i want to see more..... BUT WHAT to stock with? FInd out here: th-cam.com/video/L6G2qwUSK5U/w-d-xo.html
Joey, that was an awesome video. I just love the salt water tank. It's simplicity and that water flow is mesmerizing. Thanks for including us. Hit that thumbs up people for more great building and fish moving to come.
Remember back in the day Joey, you didn't know anything about saltwater aquariums!! I told you back then, that with your knowledge about freshwater keeping, you will learn fast and will truly enjoy keeping saltwater aquariums. Look at you now Joey, I'm so proud of you!!!!!❤
Love that new tank on breeze blocks, would love to see a larger rock in the middle of the tank like a focal point, for fish to swim around plus it breaks up line of site if any aggression
Loved the long video, normally with the shorter ones there is a disconnect between episodes but it was cool to go on the whole journey so far with this tank. Was good to see your son, you should get him helping with more projects start to finish, his confidence will grow and Joey, you're getting old now, you need the help 😉
I don't know what it is......but that tank in early stages is the most beautiful aquarium I've ever seen.,..I wouldn't change a thing.... except relocate that aquarium to my bedroom..... absolutely hypnotizing 😊
By far my most favourite “scape” in the gallery, will be doing something like this at work when we move site and open our gallery. Simple and fantastic
DUUUUDE, THAT 700 GALLON ALL GLASS FISH TANK THAT HAD THOSE PEARL STINGRAYS IN IT WAS F'ING GORGEOUS🤩 I WISH I COULD AFFORD SOMETHING LIKE THAT OR A MASSIVE SQUARED/CUBE TANK. NOW THOSE BIG SQUARED/CUBE FISH TANKS ARE MY DREAM SETUPS. THOSE TANKS DON'T TAKE UP NO WHERE NEAR THE AMOUNT OF SPACE THOSE LONG TANKS TAKE UP.
It would be awesome if you put out some ransoms 20-30 minute videos of random fish tanks so we can just enjoy observing the various fish and their behaviors. Maybe have some nice music playing over it and no other sound.
Just a heads up, Temu have multiple lawsuits and investigations ongoing for selling your private details. Thats why they offer you so many insane coupons when you sign up. The more users they get the more information they can sell.
Love the video, I agree I love the little waves and surface action going on with the Salt Water tank, I think it's perfect as is honestly. That filter system is pretty awesome!
Absolutely wonderful, I keeped salt water fish to 40yrs ago and it was so difficult and the fish and sea cucumbers were so delicate . You can be lucky and get the balance right .or if you are not it's hard work.
Since you are planing an aquarium without water changes, you should do some ICP tests, to get an Idea if any nutrients are depleted and in what amount these need to be supplemented. You could show that in videos. When certain nutrinens are lacking, complex macroalgae will stop growing and simple nuisance algae will take over.
Hey boii, you should add 2 additional elbow facing towards the bottom of the container for a better flow (not accumulating too much debris) or 2 T joint and some extension to create bottom suction
try to establish Copepodes. you can see in videos that people introduce them during the night, and just put the bottle in the aquarium with the opening close to stones or substrate, allowing them to crawle out. after you will have established Copepodes, you can add a pair of Mandarine fish.
The outputs like that is going to cause splashing and you'll end up with salt creep. Try and keep the bubbles down and water splashing down. Maybe put a few 90s on the outputs in the water to keep any water splashing inside the PVC and put a small hole in the top so that the air can escape the pipe
I just want to say the difference between joey holding that bag of sand like a loaf of bread and me nearly falling over as a fully grown adult is mind boggling 😂
I got so lost in the plans lol but excited to see the outcome. Also the saltwater aquarium looks beautiful! Definitely something I'd consider making in the future!
This is amazing! I tried doing macro algae at home and failed, yet I can keep coral lol. If you are looking for suggestions for fish I would put a couple yellow coris wrasses. They are peaceful, active, and it's neat watching them go to bed (sleep in the sand bed). I have two and I love them!
I had red grape caulerpa go sexual in a tank years ago while I was stuck in the hospital. I pulled it out by the bucket full. Was in all plumbing and everywhere… but I’d do it all again cus my fish loved it. Tank was only a fowlr though at the time.
I think all the SA cichlids in the 21 foot tank will do real well, especially if you give it some significant one way current, like a flowing river, and a few large wooden stumps for them to swarm around. There are a number of TH-cam vids (posted by Santartam Discus and Below Water, for example) that show how even discus and angelfish thrive in such high flow environments. Of course, having some variety to the flow, sometimes strong sometimes less could be best for creating a biotype system that could replicate rainfall and seasons.
I love that you know who below water is. Just saying. Got the first boesemani ray from Oliver. Then I was the first to breed in captivity. See? Canadians do cool stuff too!!!
@thekingofdiy Awesome! I love that you know who he is. He is the GOAT of keeping and importing south american fish. Would love to see you tour and video his facility. You should definitely get some fish from him. His selection of rarities is outstanding. Especially tetras. Stuff you rarely see in local shops.
@@thekingofdiy Another Canadian fishkeeper you should check out is Jim Cummings. He keeps a lot of rare and endangered Madagascar cichlid species that few hobbyists know about.
What is the demension of the filter!?!?!? I love that!! Lil wonky audio for a second! Haha 20:07 but hey i love the longer videos gives me a better idea if the area and feels like im in the gallery more! Cool stuff!
A school of banggai cardinal would be really cool to see in that saltwater tank, and could potentially breed for you later if you're interested in growing them out for the the channel.
Joey, there might not be a whole lot for that urchin to eat in a new tank. You might want to consider adding some nori or other seaweeds for it to eat.
I have an albino comet goldfish that looks like those creamy colored Oscar's. Beautiful colors for beautiful fish. I have electric blue acaras and they are beautiful! You won't regret it when they flash their pretty blue. Hikari cichlid gold is awesome food as well and I recommend. I purchased my acaras from aquarica.
New favourite tank!!! Joey maybe you should add a Giant Clam, clearing shrimp and maybe something fun that people don't offer see or is underrated in the saltwater hobby. I wonder if you could create a geo-biotype based on the stuff you already have in the tank.
DAMN!!! that was a long video huh? anyways, link in description to the filter. I knew you would ask. U needa go back and get the other 2 Oscar to they deserve a big tank with a king
@@KETACAINOfficial They do! But they gotta be nicer. I cant rescue every oscar... i'd have 50 a week!
I like these long form videos. How about the war paint goby’s?
that is one cool tank and so simple.. how about royal grammas. or a school of six bar goby's
I think this convince me to get a salt tank. Thanks for sharing
49 minutes of absolute joy for me love this long format videos Joey!
Its sooooo wholesome to see Joey going from struggling with tanks alone to having his son to help him... Every fish keepers dream❤️
Joey, that was an awesome video. I just love the salt water tank. It's simplicity and that water flow is mesmerizing. Thanks for including us. Hit that thumbs up people for more great building and fish moving to come.
I’m so happy ! About time youre doing saltwater again! I hope you Start posting your saltwater tanks as often as your freshwater! 🎉
best video you have released in a long time. these are the best style you do, amazing content

Love these long videos!
Thanks! Love the longer videos. Nice to spend more time with you!
Large size selling out. Careful you get the right size. Got one for myself. Thanks Joey.

By far my most favourite “scape” in the gallery, will be doing something like this at work when we move site and open our gallery. Simple and fantastic
GREAT VIDEO!!!! EXCITED for the EPIC 21 Ft long tank!!!
Love the minimalistic idea, of having a view really cool tanks. And i love the salt water tank the way you put it together!
Definitely luv the new aquarium and the whole idea...
Keep on keeping on my friend 💯
A FIFTY MINUTE VIDEO LETS GOOOO‼️👏🏻
It looks so beautiful and the water looks turquoise. I could stare at that tank all day.
Can’t wait for the big build!
Love the video as always! Seems like you need another gallery. One that has permanent setups and one to continuously change and experiment with!
One of my favorite fish videos this year so far 👍
That flow is amazing. Its like a stormy ocean
Hey!! No stealing my acaras!
You tell him lol
Lol
Is the kid his? 😮 You both look to young to be parents to that boy lol
😂😅😂
He won't be stealing them, he'll be "helping you out" by very generously taking them off your hands when they're too big for your tanks
DUUUUDE, THAT 700 GALLON ALL GLASS FISH TANK THAT HAD THOSE PEARL STINGRAYS IN IT WAS F'ING GORGEOUS🤩 I WISH I COULD AFFORD SOMETHING LIKE THAT OR A MASSIVE SQUARED/CUBE TANK. Love these full videos, love the tank
This tank is amazing. The best top water action i have ever seen.
It would be awesome if you put out some ransoms 20-30 minute videos of random fish tanks so we can just enjoy observing the various fish and their behaviors. Maybe have some nice music playing over it and no other sound.
A spider decorator crab would look awesome in that big tank
You're videos are filled with alot of diy projects that are good for new comers to fish 🐟 hobby
This was a great video I enjoyed the length and how descriptive you made it. Great job Joey

Man the kiddo has grown!! We're salties here with 3 setups. A macro tank will have to be next.
Love the video, I agree I love the little waves and surface action going on with the Salt Water tank, I think it's perfect as is honestly. That filter system is pretty awesome!
Dude this tank looks to awesome and natural I love it
Absolutely wonderful, I keeped salt water fish to 40yrs ago and it was so difficult and the fish and sea cucumbers were so delicate . You can be lucky and get the balance right .or if you are not it's hard work.
Great video once again keep up the top work joey 👏
this is simple and beautiful. you do not often see seewater planted tanks.
looks amazing honestly love the long videos
I LOVE the waves!
i just watched 49 mins of you talking........ AND I LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!
Love that your going more into the saltwater field!

This looks amazing, never thought I would consider a salt water tank, but this has me tempted
Joey, you're the king of diy. Time to start to make your own branched rocks out of cement.
try to establish Copepodes.
you can see in videos that people introduce them during the night, and just put the bottle in the aquarium with the opening close to stones or substrate, allowing them to crawle out.
after you will have established Copepodes, you can add a pair of Mandarine fish.
Srocking options:
Tangs (algae eaters)
Peppermint shrimp (aptasia eaters)
Conches (sand cleaners)
Turbo snails (algae eaters)
Starfish (sand cleaners)
Any Wrasse (pest eaters)
Need to grab a flame angel, that was my favorite salt water fish when I was keeping salt water fish
Haven't Watched in a few months I forgot how amazing the videos are!
I love cause its simple & nice.
Get some of those snails that go under the sandbed theyre good for keeping it clean by moving the sand around and they look cool as well.
“Fishy fun” channel says awesome video!!
@thekingofdiy😍 love the saltwater, I would add some anenomies as wel as fish. I also like the oscar tank idea. So enjoy your new toys
Love these long form videos!!!!
Those are massive tanks
This is just beautiful. SO jealous.
It's sad you don't want any more salt tanks - a large marine angel, large tang, and California horn shark tank would be awesome
Emperor angel will be really cool Joey.
Omg that looks beautiful joey ❤❤❤❤
Also a frag tank on the back wall. Corals are amazing and you can make a profit
Make it a colorado sunburst anemone tank, or black widow rose bubble. Exotic nems and clownfish
The fact I randomly stumble upon your video and visit that store all the time
I prefer macro algae tanks over coral . Very simple and beautiful .
Love it!
Love this new tank!
The piranhas are looking so good
Next you can add school of Anthias. You can also mix different type of Anthias as well.
An Oscar aquarium is a perfect idea !!!
I've been wanting to do a salt tank like that for a while now! It looks amazing, and it's very unique and not traditional.
The outputs like that is going to cause splashing and you'll end up with salt creep. Try and keep the bubbles down and water splashing down. Maybe put a few 90s on the outputs in the water to keep any water splashing inside the PVC and put a small hole in the top so that the air can escape the pipe

Has been along time since i seen your son on video , last time he and your daughter were doing a tank he's grown so fast.
Nice video .
This is amazing! I tried doing macro algae at home and failed, yet I can keep coral lol. If you are looking for suggestions for fish I would put a couple yellow coris wrasses. They are peaceful, active, and it's neat watching them go to bed (sleep in the sand bed). I have two and I love them!

you can add Sand Eating Gobys, for example the Diamond Goby

Love the new tank! Send me ☕️ coffee! Oh I meant to tell you….time to get a new mic. Have the time it sounded like you were under water 😂
With a deep sand bed garden eels would by way cool
I couldn't help but laugh so you break this I break you 😂😂😂
😅😊 Nice video man and great having your son here, get him more involved! Great duo! 👍
Joey. You can move rays to the 2k and have that aquarium a reef. Side by side your macro algae tank. The Oscar’s. Probably make a pond for them 😅
Looks like a tide pool love it
Very interesting and relaxing video.
Joey, I dare you to build a 7,000 gallon aquarium tank that rival your 2,000 gallon
Damnnn, all your aquariums look incredible!
Listening to Joey eat the microphone was hilarious!
you can add shrimps, snails, crabs, a sand cleaning crew
you should be able to establish copepodes in the filter too
I have an albino comet goldfish that looks like those creamy colored Oscar's. Beautiful colors for beautiful fish. I have electric blue acaras and they are beautiful! You won't regret it when they flash their pretty blue. Hikari cichlid gold is awesome food as well and I recommend. I purchased my acaras from aquarica.
A few splashes of dragons breath macro would make that tank explode with beauty even more!!! I'm jealous.

Kick ass vid.💯👍. Start to finish is great . 💯🙏🙏🙏
Excellent video, a flame angle and a couple blennies and wrasses etc
Get a flame angel! Stay small, amazing colors.
The all Oscar tank will be super awesome !!!
I love the... "I'm only here to buy the..." Videos!!
