I bought a 2500 Gal tank from Brett Raymer. He shipped it to Alaska and I brought it with me when I moved to Colorado. Not a single defect in the tank and it is going strong after 14 years. It is my most prized possession, even more than my house and car.

I had no idea how much I needed this closure lol. He hit the nail on the head with what made Tanked so successful; The show checked off every box on what makes a show enjoyable and it opened the door to a new interest for so many! Sad that it ended but everything must come to an end. Brett's attitude towards his tanks and the show are awesome and he gave so much insight that I don't think we've ever gotten before. I seriously am glad I found this video. I really needed it for multitude of reasons I didn't think this would give.
    1) I loved tanked, but didn't care so much for the 'family drama/joke' parts. BUT, Brett here tells how most to all of it was true and true. And him explaining that real accidents happened, makes it seem more 'real' to me now, and how he explained more about the places and tanks and was straight forward about it. -I now want to watch the whole series.
    2) Brett's honesty in the questions- especially why he quit- this *seriously* helped me not feel so bad about quitting my own job recently. It may not be for exact same reasons, but I was struggling mentally with it. He stated truly how 'happiness' is more important than money. It is a true fact, but hearing a popular celebrity (i think he is enough) say that, really makes it feel more true and serious and makes you not feel so bad for doing what *you* need to do.

My dad has been into aquariums and fish for decades now, and I remember watching the show with him. It was one of the few things we both really enjoyed watching and it was nice to have something to share with him. I never really got into aquariums myself, mainly because I was too young back then to have my own, but recently I've landed on the aquarium side of youtube and last week I finally set up my very own first fishtank. It's been really nice to have something to talk about with my dad again, and it's so cool to see the youtube and television world connect in a video like this.

It was a real privilege and honour to hang out with Brett Raymer. I used to watch Tanked over and over because of the fresh dynamic it brought to reality television. He was 100% correct when he stated they had all the values to make it great.
I will admit though that the interview at the end drove me absolutely crazy because of all the editing and the amount of poor construction to go with it. We are seeing this over and over across the board on Interviews/podcasts.
    My advice:
If you are going to do an interview then make it raw, make it unscripted, make it genuine no matter whether there are mistakes or not. Make it real because that's what everyone wants to see and hear. We're all human so just let it flow.
    Anyways...
Good to see you both come together and this was a very special treat for us all regardless so let's hope we can see this again real soon.
Stay Safe!... Stay Well!... Stay Positive!

I visited the tank that the show built for the Applebee's on Coney Island a few years ago, and it was a disatser. They didn't keep up with the maintenance at all, so it was a real disappointment, and a shame seeing it so neglected . The fish all looked sick, some had injuries, and the algea was super thick and had taken over the entire tank. I always wondered how the rest of the tanks that "Tanked" built were kept up with... now I know. I appreciate this video, and am glad to see they all didn't meet such a horrible fate.

❤❤❤I'm one of the people that got interested in the hobby after watching the show. Due to the hobby being expensive, I only own two fish tanks but my kids love them 🎉

I loved this show! The kid who got the tv tank inspired me to make one of my own. Pretty much everything I have currently I got via donation or custom. That passion that these guys helped ignite is never likely to fade.

oh man, i used to watch this show all the time! it's nice to see that so much care was put into both the tanks and caring for the fish, since most tv is so sketchy behind the scenes.

Hey I remember this man he worked in Tanked. I've seen a lot of show especially the show with Shaquille O'neal. Long ago I've been hooked on fish, plants, and vintage car's, vintage furniture etc.

Man I never knew how much I needed this interview. I grew up watching animal planet, and tanked was one of my all time favorite shows on the channel. I loved marine life as a kid (and still do now), and seeing all the different types of fish they'd handle and all of the super cool tanks they'd build was so cool to me as a kid

Tanked definitely reispired me back into fish. I had a tank when I was young but it was broken down about a decade ago. And a few years back I set up a new tank and I've been growing in the hobby. Working on setting up 75 gallon fresh water tank and I currently have a 19 gallon going strong

Congrats on an amazing interview, and the honesty along with the openness from him was amazing. People will complain they took fish out after, but they did it perfectly. The tanks are amazing, but in the end, it's about the fish and the health as well as the longevity of the tank.

I enjoyed the interview on Brett. I did enjoy the aspect of reality and what is for entertainment. The only aspect I wished I learned about Brett is what type of job he does and is he still active in the aquarium trade ? What I appreciate on the shows on Animal Planet is the creativity he brought to the aquarium trade.

I had no idea Tanked had ended filming, having discovered them only a short while ago and I've been loving their episodes on television and bits here and there on TH-cam. Sad to hear there were family issues, inevitable I guess :-( but Brett and his family and team have been giving me a lot of joy. Thank You for the Fishes (with a loving nod in the direction of Abba for the tune in my head, and now in yours!)
