I slept on a mattress I don't like for over a year so I can give this review. Now that is dedication, James. Get yourself a comfortable mattress. You deserve it!
He owns a purple mattress that he seemed to really enjoy. He probably would've gone back to that one had he not dedicated a year to the nectar mattress. After watching his review on the purple mattress, I decided that I may give it a try after the warranty is up on my temper pedic.
The Nectar might be in his guest room.
@@BarryMcCawkiner I'm considering it, too, once I have the money for a new mattress. I have pretty severe back problems (I blew out one of my lumbar discs in 2017 and the vertebrae above and below are basically bone on bone now) that I see a pain management doctor and chiropractor for, so my mattress is important for obvious reasons. I also have degeneration in my hips so sleeping on a mattress that's too firm is very painful.
How have you liked your Temper Pedic? Do you get overheated in it?
When I asked my chiropractor for mattress recommendations she suggested either a Temper Pedic or Sleep Number mattress because of the ability to adjust the firmness on the fly to what my back is needing at the time.
She also said she can write me a prescription for one so if I get it direct from the manufacturer, I won't have to pay sales tax which will be a little over $100 savings. (Just as an FYI to anybody else who might be interested in knowing that's even a Thing when shopping for a mattress!)
I’d hate that mattress.
The only channel that shows products after a year of use (even if they're crappy) and reviews them again! That's dedication and thorough! Keep it up!

That doesn't take away from him taking time to update us on the how useful the products are after a year.
I haven't seen any other youtubers, i watch, do that and it's appreciated by most of us.

One thing about the ketchup packet squeezer. As someone with really bad arthritis, that thing would be amazing! I usually can't open those packets at all and the squeezing can hurt my hands too. Just for a different perspective for you. 💕
That’s a very,good,point. I don’t have arthritis but sometimes I find those packets a Royal pain to open. I’ve squirted my fingers quite a few times (maybe I’m holding them too firm???). But - as a female for a nice spacious purse, I always carry a small pair of scissors!
Carpal tunnel too. Squeezing can sometimes cause.pain to shoot up my arms
But that problem can be easily solved with a scissor though right? Without using a miniature tool
@@TheDeathLove yeah, but the squeezing part... That's what I'm really loving... Those little packets hurt my fingers so much to try and squeeze anything out of

That paper towel dispenser would be a godsend for me, I've got cats.
That’s what I was thinking. I must have saw the review a year ago but it didn’t strike me as necessary and I forgot about it. Now a year later one of our cats has decided that the paper towel roll is the bestest toy ever and we will find small pieces of paper everywhere if we forget to put the roll away. Now this product seems like a great idea. May buy one if the wife agrees.
I don't have any mobility issues, but I often struggle with opening those tiny packets. I really like that gadget for having a small solution to a little problem.
That paper towel holder would have been great when we had neighborhood socials outside. I sure had to chase plain rolls falling off and then rolling while unwinding in the grass! Great video💕
I bought the take-a-roll after seeing him review it and he is right that it's a situational item, but for what it does it does it well. I've used it a bunch of times anywhere food is to be had outdoors such as camping, barbecues, picnics, etc. The more frequently you do something like that the more use you'll get out of it.
I'm buying it now. I think it's a great 💡
@@MoDavI-sl7iy I’m buying one now to store the roll of paper towels I keep in my truck. No more throwing out half used rolls that get wet or dirty
funny enougth, this could also be very usefull for toilet paper roll, you can stack multiples of them on to each others and use 1 (the bottom one), they dont roll around and they all stay in the same spot so no need to search for them.
I can't imagine sleeping on a mattress I don't like for a year! You have my respect
The Take-a-Roll is great for keeping a roll of paper towels in the trunk or back of the suv.
I imagine it would be good to keep my kitty from shredding rolls of paper towels. You would think they were infused with catnip, the way she attacks them!
The Take-A Roll might be a good gadget to have if you want to keep Paper Towels in your car. I like to have a roll in there for emergency clean ups and such, and I found a tin from the Tanqueray Gin company fits perfectly. If you just throw a roll into your trunk, it unfurls, it gets wet, and messy, and having something form-fitting to keep it in preserves it.
I’m about to buy one just for that reason! I like to keep a roll in my truck, but they always get wet and dirty and I have to throw them out. This looks like a pretty good solution to this problem.
I like the aluminum cups a lot. I don't know why but soda tastes so much better out of them than glasses and plastic cups and they do last quite a while - even in the dishwasher
I have Reynaud's as well. I use a microwaveable "bean bag" to keep my hands warm when I'm using my computer.
Interesting. I have an electronic hand warmer but I like your solution too!
I don't remember that Take A Roll, but as someone who camps and picnics and pool parties, it has value!
Yeah, I’m about to buy one to keep paper towels in my truck clean. It’s always handy to have a roll on hand, but sometimes the roll gets wet or dirty and this looks like a great solution.
Camping or motor homes was what that roll keeper made me think of too.
And horse shows.....great idea to keep them usable!

Adding a topper to the mattress and a quilted mattress cover helps memory foam in my opinion 😉
Hahaha Nectar mattress was the ad that played before the video started. They are having a 33pct off sale right now, and it's the best mattress the guy in the ad has ever used.

The paper towel roll protector might protect it from my cat... Doubtful though.

I have Raynaud's, too. Look into heated wristbands. The wrist is the key to warm and pain-free fingers.

James, true respect for the dedication to using that mattress that you don't like for a whole year! I hope you sleep better now that you can go back to your mattress of choice! I'm assuming that's the purple mattress that you reviewed before...
The nut/seed bowl would be immensely improved if they got rid of the swoopy upper bowl. Then divided the whole thing top to bottom in two vertically. One side for shells, the other for the whole nuts. And you can still sit the phone on it.
They didn't think that one through and went qwith style over any use.
Or it almost feels like the nuts show go in the bottom part. Seems like it could "work" for any type of crunchy snack like that. Just gotta throw stuff in the garbage instead of use the thing itself.
@@jovalleau Yup, I mean it's easy enough to use two bowls, really or just a bowl and something else for the trash. But it just made me laugh how they went with design that wrecks the whole point and purpose.

an elderly neighbor got that bed and it'd end up with him on the floor by morning atleast twice a month. if he didn't have anyone checking in on him that mattress eventually would have caused him permanent harm

I know I’m in the minority here… but I seriously can’t believe these were only a year ago….. like it feels like this was 3 years ago I watched these videos. Insane how slow time moves by for me. I’m thankful for that though because you only live once so time moving slowly really helps me get the most out of life. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 crazy though so much in life has changed since I watched these. I remember the type of day it was when I watched the sleeping bag video. It was cold out but sunny. I was in a completely different house. My son was too small to even walk. Like remembering all of the detailed of every video I watch really makes it feel like so much time has passed when it’s only been 1 year.. mind blowing.
I love and watch all of your reviews. The updates are in between a bonus round and a remember when round.

Love the aluminum cups. If they can make them as affordable as plastic we need to start pushing fast food joints to switch over.
I love my pistachio bowl. Of course my daughter gave it to me so I use it and brag on it.
I bought 2 boxes of the Ball Aluminum cups for 20¢ each on the clearance rack at Kroger a few months ago.
They are pretty good.
I didn't really need them but I remembered your review so I figured that 40¢ for 2 boxes of them wasn't a total waste of money.

I know the nectar mattress isn’t for everyone, but your reviews have sold me. It absolutely seems like something I would absolutely love! I sleep like a corpse. Once I’m out I’m out! I may have to snag one for myself once I start re-doing my room’s layout!

I bought the magic broom (before your review) and despaired. But after a year of hiding it, I tried it again and immediately noticed what you may be doing...like me, you pressed it down too hard. A light touch works better! But I will probably donate it when I move.

The packet squeezer is good for people with arthritis, healthy people aren't the only ones in the world.
That looks awful fiddly for someone with arthritis. Do you actually know someone with arthritis who uses one? Because most of my patients wouldn’t have the fine-motor dexterity to crank that.
@@carolynv8979i was gonna say the same thing. You have to do far more with the packet squeezer than just opening and squeezing a packet and people with arthritis wouldn't be able to do those things. I feel like their comment is a tiny bit virtue signaling.

Hey! I want to recommend you try the Nolan original mattress. It’s the best mattress I’ve ever used and is nothing like the nectar. I move around like you and it conforms to my body’s itch out be feeling restricted. Have a good day!

That ketchup gadget would be great to keep in a vehicle for when you went to eat fast food. You might have luck with those tiny portion sauce packets, but I do not.

I have a Mueller and I love it. It works great ! I actually gave away my kettle because it took so much longer to boil the water. I use my Mueller Kettle every day.

14:27 the sun glasses not being waterproof isn’t an issue at all. There is absolutely no situation where if it’s raining you’d need sun glasses on anyway.. 😂😂😂

I have a tiny emergency sewing kit complete with tiny scissors which I keep in my handbag. They are ideal for cutting the tiny packets of ketchup or mayo.
