I absolutely love this channel. Not many people go back and do updates like these. Even for things I'm never gonna buy, I just love watching you. Great work!
For your Kitchen Gadgets under $15 - I use the hell out of that clip on strainer. I have had only minimal issues (like pasta that likes to stick through the holes or getting steam in my face because I like to watch it pour)... but I find it works really well. Some pots/bowls it has a hard time clipping onto because they have a lip on them, but other than that it works well. They even work on glass bowls! So heating up canned veggies and then training them is super easy. Bonus fact - I bought it based on your suggestion of how it worked. I have 4 of them and I rotate them out so no one gets over used.
@@Strawation Huh? I use both hands with every pot... doesn't matter how heavy. It's even necessary. Grab the handles with both hands and use the thumbs to press down and adjust the lid. Of course you might use a small towel or piece of cloth or mittens if the lid is of a kind of getting too hot to touch.
I use the car tissue holder on the passenger side visor. LOVE it! I also use the car garbage container on the passenger side seat. And I have it facing forward so it’s easy for me to use. Another one I LOVE!
I got the tissue/trash attached on the passenger side in back. I did put a small box in the ‘garbage’ part to have square tissue fit in and I reach behind my head to pull a tissue out. Love the phonograph air freshener, but it’s because it’s cool looking rather than the freshening which was minimal.
I’ve been using the Cirkul for almost 2 years now. I absolutely love it and it’s really good for my ADHD. I remember to drink water rather than reach for soda or coffee milk.
I bought my boyfriend and I Ember mugs for Christmas. I got them when they were on sale for $100 each at Best Buy (usually $150) We are chronically slow coffee drinkers so this is AMAZING! The app is sometimes hot garbage, but the mug is basically perfect.
Honestly I never use the app and just set it to 130F and forget it. The mug always remembers the temp so the app is mostly unnecessary past the initial setup. I've had mine for 2 years adn its the most expensive dumbest best thing I've ever bought
James: if I may, never stop reviewing ice makers. I always want to keep hearing about how the $1 solution is better. I’m not being sarcastic, I seriously find it hilarious
It depends on it. In the summer 1 dollarstore tray for sure. But then i would love to have some ice cubes but 1 or 2 cubes a week is fine. And I don't want to leave the cubes uncovered in the freezer for a month or longer.
I used to have a 1$ tray which was nice. But I've got one with silicone at the bottom to pop the cubes out way easier. Been using it for years now and quite frankly, amazing investment. Only cost like 10 bucks for 3 of them, so barely more expensive anyways
I have the original pillow pad, and I use it all the time. I was unaware of the foldable option. I checked it out on Amazon and felt it was a little pricey at $17. I added it to my favorites list, if decide later to buy it. Thank you, James, for your product reviews over the last year!!! A couple of years ago, you reviewed my all-time favorite product, the Pizza Scissors!!! I have used that many times, and it's so much better than using a traditional pizza cutter!!! 🍕
11:20 there was a windstorm that hit me over the summer where I live. Most of my county was without power. It became dark. A light bulb like that would have been usually because you couldn’t see anything for miles. That is the one case where I am imagine myself using it LOL
Since you can close the circuit by holding it in your hand, you could use it to amaze children or maybe even work up your "Uncle Fester" impersonation! 🤣
Of your Under $15 kitchen gadgets, I got both the clip-on strainer and the pickle fork. The fork gets transferred to the new jar of pickles as soon as it’s opened and the strainer gets used at least once a week. I do need to look at getting those bowl huggers soon.
I gotta go back and watching the emergency bulb video. I might actually buy that as I deal with power outages that are usually due to bad weather and those seem like they'd be very convenient for my situation. Just seeing that short clip in this video makes me feel good about potentially buying it.
I have a bowl hugger like thing my Nana made and I absolutely love it for making ramen. They're simple items but once you use them you ask yourself "why haven't I had one of these before?"
This may sound odd, as I've never purchased anything you've reviewed, and most likely won't. However, I always love seeing when you post a new video! One of my favourite TH-camrs by far 😁👍
I think the vast majority of the products he reviews look like complete dogshit that was only invented to take advantage of people who have been indoctrinated by society to consume any gadget that promises to solve the smallest possible inconvenience (at the expense of every dollar in your pocket and every square foot of storage space in your home.) But the videos are fun to watch anyway.
Have had the same Ember mug for over 2 years, leaving it at home when I am stuck working from there. Now I purchased the 14oz mug for the office desk. Glad to see you are still using your mug.
I had something similar to the dash pad, and yes, it picks up a lot of dust, but you can wash it with plain water, or water with a bit of dishwashing soap, and it's just like new. I bought a pack of six a few years ago, and I haven't needed to break out a second one, because the first one is still going strong. Again, I'm not sure if Dashpad is made of the same material.
Thanks for the update, I really enjoy your reviews. I think it's good to get reviews from different people and you seem to align better with my own mindset.
Your shaq vs foreman reminded me, how I watched your review of the Ninja Foodi Grill and finally bought one in July 2022. I use it at least three times a week, sometimes multiple times in the same day, and it is easily one of the best purchases I have ever made. Without your review, I most likely would not have finally jumped onto the air fryer bandwagon, let alone an air fryer grill combo!
I think the ice cube balls would be cool to use for mixed drinks for having guests over, just as a fun taboo thing. Other than that I don't see a actual day to day use for it.
After seeing your first review of the Ember Mug, which I only came across a couple months ago, I just had to get one for myself. And I love it! I just got mine about a month ago, but ever since getting it, it's been the only one I have used since. See, I'm an avid gamer and I like my coffee while gaming. Most of the time I'm so into the game, I forget my coffee and when I do remember it it has gotten cold and I have to reheat it and that is a daily occurence. Never again with my Ember Mug. It may have been a little pricey, but to me it was worth every penny! And the one cool feature I love about it is with the app, it lets you know exactly when it is empty. I mean even if there is still just a drop left it stays on and when it is empty, the word "Empty" comes up on the screen in the app and shuts itself off.
Fun hot coffee hack, sentsy warmers. I picked one up for $1.99 at a thrift store. Keeps my coffee the perfect temprature all day. I have run out the door for a work emergency, and got back 6 hours later, with my coffee still perfectly hot. Not too hot, but definitly hot. I can always find the warmers at good will, and it looks super cute on my desk. Bought one for my barista bf too, he loves it!
The visor so-called tissue holder used to be made by a company called Tempo and they have their own special things to put in it I do not put mine on the driver's side I have it on the passenger visor and since Tempo is no longer doing business in the US I can order tempos tissues on Amazon but I found something that's just as easy all those napkins that go unused from the drive-thru fit in there just perfect the little fold up is right there so it's easy to just slide your finger grab that little thing pull it out easy peasy. I had compliments some people liking it and so I went and bought a generic brand but doesn't say Tempo on it and I bought like a package of 10 of them for like $14.50 several years ago and gave them two people as little gifts for just being them. What really got them was I went and got take out napkins from each person's favorite place and put it in there. And for out of the blue gifts it was a fun thing for me to do and they enjoyed it cuz they realized I pay attention to the little itty bitty details such as their favorite restaurant or coffee shop or Baskin Robbins. You could have kept the little ice ball thing and filled it with some broth for your four legged one we seen at the beginning in the background of the video. Out there in that hot Vegas Sun that would come in pretty cool. When it comes to the clip-on strainer my cousins step kid is hilarious instead of getting a bigger strainer he puts the regular clip on one on the pot then he takes a second clip on one and make sure it angles down into the first one and that way he doesn't have to overwork too much I guess is what the reasoning is I don't know but it does work.
I have a very similar emergency bulb, actually 4 of them. They work the exact same way that yours do, but mine have built in solar panels as well. So if the power goes out for a long time, I can set my bulbs in the sunlight and recharge them. I LOVE them❤️ I actually plan on getting 4 more.
I think an indoor grill would be awesome in my apartment because grilling seems a lot less work to me than other ways of cooking except for pressure and air frying.
I always enjoy James' reviews and I consider his reviews to be the most objective and reliable. Sometimes I don't see the same value in a particular item that he does but I am able to decide if it is a good fit for me based on his unbiased review.
Those tissues for the car visor are actually an old thing. About 20 years ago I had those in my van for the kids. They were more of a cross between a paper towel and a tissue. Put it on the passenger side and I loved it. Perfect for moms with young kids. Then suddenly they were gone. I have to check it out. Because that looks exactly like the ones I used to have.
That was fun and usefull! Its pretty good to know how stuff can pass the trial of time. Im thinking the kitchen cube might be one of those thong made for people with mobility problems but not advertised as such. But i dont know how usefull it would be for those tbh..
The rechargeable light bulbs are a lifesaver, In South Africa we have load shedding for on average 6 hours out of every 24 we have no power . So much safer than candles and don't have to remember to charge them.
I’ve looked at the Cirkul. I drink a lot of water and use the flavor mix ins. I didn’t realize I could use the lid on my large water bottle. Now I’m thinking of buying one and doing that
I just recently started seeing ads for the cirkle water bottle ( spelling ) . Like within the last few months. Had never seen an ad for it before anywhere
honestly, I could see the measuring cube being super useful for me personally, because I and my family can never keep track of any of our measuring cups for more than a month
I have the quirky brand power bar thing. I bought it about 4 to 5 years ago, I use it everyday for my tv and Xbox. I brought it to travel as well. Still works great . Would recommend, never had any issues at all
I have a strainer that works like the one on here - except it's hard, not soft! This means it works well! Much quicker than putting food in a separate strainer!
I have those flipits.... I use it on my conditioner... I've had it for a LONG time and it works great... the only thing I'll say about it is that I fear it dropping in the shower and piercing my foot. But I haven't found a better alternative to the issue of being able to set my bottle on end... I don't want to move the liquid to a different bottle as the conditioner I use is EXTREMELY thick and it would be near impossible to move it all to another bottle... I just need to keep the bottle standing up .... but yeah there is that danger of those 3 prongs and I have fears of stabbing my foot with it if I were to drop the conditioner ... but other than that I love the item and have used it for several years now.
This past Xmas the theme was "as seen on tv" I couldn't go shopping so my son picked up my gift. Kicking myself now since I didn't send him your reviews
There is a hack for the Cirkul. You can take apart the cartridge and fill it with water enhancers. A bottle of the water enhancer is cheaper than the cartridge and it fills it up three or more times.
The first one is really great for people who is easily distracted and forgets about their hot drinks until an hour later and then has to make a new cup and the cycle continues..
I love all your videos. I had to comment on your car freshener instruction. You sir are dating yourself. Put it on the record player...lol. I'm old. I get it but....the young uns may not. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching new vids. I get all excited every time I get a notification. 👍
I've seen a powerxl indoor grill at Walmart that looked just like the Shaq grill..after more research I've found online reviews saying the Shaq grill just got rebranded under the power xl name
Here’s the problem I used to use your videos to fall asleep (not that they were boring but I could turn it on at bed time and it would become a background noise) the problem is that the videos are to entertaining now and I can sleep 🤦♀️. Still going to watch at bed time I’ll just be extra tired in the morning lol
I have one of those sniveling surge protectors but mines a little different cause it has two usb slots which can be use to charge things like cellphones or other devices that use a usb charge
I kinda like the Ember, but it's disposable. You can't replace the battery without destroying part of the outer casing. Got mine for free, and it's going to be going to the scrapper in 2 years when the battery dies.
Also both of the ice makers were far better for mobile/transporting ice on the go, I feel like a load of these gadgets are good for camping and picnic adventures. Just an observation. 🤙
80 use bamboo 🎍 towels are epic, haven't tested em but just from again a kitchen perspective, these would be amazing for simple uses that currently many places use a jay-cloth (most if not all use synthetic material) for, definitely going to be cheaper I'm guessing and much more eco friendly! Occasionally I have worked in places where Jay-cloyhs are disposable and also some that wash them so the raggedy nature of the washed towel would simply mean it looks less fancy but may not actually affect its utility, much more important for the most part I'd say! I would highly recommend doing your testing from a few perspectives if possible/applicable, you might find some really interesting results in areas that may have previously flown under the radar. Also when cleaning up really gross stuff even a straight up towel might need to be thrown away so I don't know if that's a very fair metric, I would guess that as part of a balanced arsenal of cleaning/kitchen items these would likely perform admirably 😊👍💯
I think the heater cup is better for tea(?) or choco drink where the quality won't drop so much. My brother got a set of 6, normal ice cube trays. He put them in a tubberware box. I think the parts that get hit by the microwave heats up.
Would you be able to review a new granitestone pan? I bought one, followed your guidelines, and it hasn't stayed nonstick unlike the ones I bought 2 years ago which are still going strong.
I like my Cirkul it helps me drink more water. if i have not ordered more flavors and run out I just yanked the bottom off and there is a silver bag you can refill with whatever flavored concentrate.
The measuring cube would work FAR better using metric units and European recipes. I once used a European recipes for a gelatin torte and was lent a conical measuring cup. The European measuring cup worked by MASS were as English/US cooking is done by volume. A cup of flour and a cup of sugar are the same. However, 200 grams of sugar is not the same volume as 200 grams of flour. Hence measuring the conical measure cup was more challenging.
Are there any other options that are just as good as the cirkul water bottle?I purchased it from walmart and the extra sip i bought only lasted 3 refillls!Thankyou!
I absolutely love this channel. Not many people go back and do updates like these. Even for things I'm never gonna buy, I just love watching you. Great work!
I don’t know anybody else on TH-cam who does. The updates are what I come back time and time again for.

I remember when you had 500K subscribers.
11:11 whenever there is an emergency battery back up mode it’s some held a lot dimmer than the standard AC power
Happy New Year to you and your family 💗
I love all your videos. I had to comment on your car freshener instruction. You sir are dating yourself. Put it on the record player...lol. I'm old. I get it but....the young uns may not. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching new vids. I get all excited every time I get a notification. 👍
I've seen a powerxl indoor grill at Walmart that looked just like the Shaq grill..after more research I've found online reviews saying the Shaq grill just got rebranded under the power xl name
Wonder if still use the table top dish washer how’s it holding up?
The Ray-Ban sunglasses look so good on you ❤😎❤
Thanks for holding up that black hole mug, didn't see anything lol
We got ourselves and our kids and several extended family members a cirkul water bottle for Christmas and everyone still uses it
We actually have that car tissue holder for masks and it seems to do the job pretty well.
I'm still using my flipit and bamboo towels
I have 3 of those bulbs good when lights go out.
Please do Barsys Smart Coaster Cocktail Machine review. I got Bartesian after watching your review and need to know tour thoughts on this item.
Your channel brings me joy
It’d be cool to see a “day in the life of” and see what products youve reviewed that you use in your day to day life
Here’s the problem I used to use your videos to fall asleep (not that they were boring but I could turn it on at bed time and it would become a background noise) the problem is that the videos are to entertaining now and I can sleep 🤦♀️. Still going to watch at bed time I’ll just be extra tired in the morning lol
I have one of those sniveling surge protectors but mines a little different cause it has two usb slots which can be use to charge things like cellphones or other devices that use a usb charge
The fact you made this video 22 minutes and 22 seconds long 😌👌 it’s the little things
Walmart has a version of the ember mug and it only costs $40 I love it.
I kinda like the Ember, but it's disposable. You can't replace the battery without destroying part of the outer casing. Got mine for free, and it's going to be going to the scrapper in 2 years when the battery dies.
Ah yes, the cube cracks eggs😂 didn’t expect a cube with a lot of edges on it could crack an egg,
What a selling point 😂
Pro tip from a chef;
Knives - CUT.
Spoons - SPREAD(scoop).
Forks - FORK.
Bottle Opener - OPENS (screwdriver in a pinch).
😊
37 years of updates and you still look as young as when you started.
