I bought model specific Givi Hand protectors for my 2021 NC750x DCT; fitted very easily without removing the internals or adjusting the master cylinder.
Plus they will protect your hands from flying objects. Ive had big bugs hit my hands before and that hurts, not to mention what a rock could do to your hands at high speeds. I just ordered a set for my 2024 DCT 750. Great video.
Watching your video I kept wondering if you couldn't leave the Honda internal parts in the handlebar and use a bolt with the same threads that are already there to hold the Barkbusters in place? The parts that you removed looked plenty strong enough to hold the handguards in place. Maybe it's just me being lazy, but that would seem to be a much better way for these manufacturers to sell their handguard kits. A comment below mentions that the Givi's use the stock hardware without removing so much? Nice looking bike, I have a replica of your bike and really enjoy it. And a couple of comments below-referenced vibration before and after removing those Honda bar end weights. In my opinion, these Honda parallel twins are so smooth and run at very low RPM's, I never notice any vibes. As for the DCT... the best transmission ever on a motorcycle!
I would agree that the stock bar-end screw would be sufficient to install a guard into. Unfortunately, these Bark Busters required the removal of the stock bar-end and they need to be tightened to extremes to prevent them from moving. Not the best hand guards in my opinion.
I used to ride a Sportster in the winter in north Florida. It would get to the mid 30s some mornings. Any colder and I would hijack my wife's car. It was about a 30 min ride at 65mph. My hands would be so cold I would have to go into the office for a few minutes before I had enough feeling in my hands to be able to undo the strap on my helmet.
Great video. I just installed Oxford Heated Grips (I do recommend these). Wish I saw your video before I did that. Would have been a good time to install the Barkbusters. Now, it is probably more hassle than I want to go through. Do appreciate you putting together your videos. It is amazing how you do all the work with 1 hand!

Hi, I have the Barkbusters on my 2015 Nc750x dct, they are the ones with the long spine on, I want to fit the Honda tall screen to my bike, I was wondering if you fitted the Barkbusters with the ‘short’ bar, because the longer bar would interfere with the bigger screen, could you please tell me what you think? Thanks from the UK. 😎🏍👍😁
That side is floating on this model of Bark Busters. I wish it had a mount on that side for stability. I've had to tighten the bar-end screws a few times to keep the guards from moving around.
Very nice video. But does not the Honda Nc 750x needs the internal bar wights aginst vibrations?? That 750cc 2 cylinder is vibrating some. Did you feel a diffrence when they are gone?
I was concerned about that as well but didn't notice any difference. The Barkbusters bar inserts add some of the weight back, I guess it balances it out a bit.
Good description of the installation, I installed the hand protection SW motech cobra, which gives protection and still looks nice. Why did you remove the Clip on deflector, I installed it myself because of your recommendation 🤣😉 and it works great 👍
Can the threaded kit will fit on your bike instead of the hollow bar end kit? looks like the threaded kit is easier to install and don't have to remove the weights. thanks.
At 12:00, you can see the un ticked option on the package which is for the fixed M6 0r M8 internal threads. For that kit there is no need to remove the weights. At least, for me, they look pretty fixed.
How can it be the same, you removed weights and bar end weight. And you out light aluminium handguard, I would like to try for couple of miles with your spec and stock spec, but removing handlebar weights seams like one time job, no coming back.
Ok you make life too difficult for yourself. Simply leave the inner weights inside and go get a M6 60 screw to fit the stock inner weight. Then using the new screw, the guard and the weight and single spacer the job is done in 1 minute. Don't over think this simple installation.

yeah got the same one, but apparently there's red loctite on the bar end screw...can't get past that step :/

Thanks bro for this completed work

Nice. I added the Barkbusters 2-point backbone and VPS plastics to mine. Barkbusters really are the top of the line.
Yeah, these are the first handguards I've ever installed and they feel like they are very high quality.
Молодец, хорошо объяснил.Как раз то,что надо. Благодарю
Another great vid been looking for some for my 2021 NC but don't seem to have them over here in the UK
Thanks for watching!
Totally agree, just got mine and the channel is really helpful!!!

I got the bar end bark busters for my F900r but non of the screws fit through my original handle bar weight. Any idea ?
As always top video. 1 question does the screen side of the bark busters not screen into anything or floating.

Definitely not as ugly as my givi ones... Had to remove them for windscreen clearance, and looking for new ones.. These are great contenders :p
These were pretty easy to install. The hard part was prepping the bars by getting those bar end weights out.
Thank you for the vid. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!

I removed the visor deflector temporarily so I could wash off the bike and just hadn't put it back on yet. I still like it 🙂

Excellent video! Did removing the bar end weights and putting on the barkbusters change any handlebar vibrations (good or bad)?
Even though the bar end weights are pretty heavy, I didn't notice any change in the feel of the bars or any extra vibrations at all.
