Honda NC750X DCT Review - More than just a practical everyday machine?

  • The NC model series from Honda has long been considered THE everyday machine par excellence. In 2021, it received an extensive overhaul. McGregor takes the NC750X for a day and subjects its suitability for everyday use to a tough reality check across Vienna. Is it really that practical? And can it perhaps be more than just pragmatic?

In an environment that suits her, the NC750X can actually be exciting. I live in Switzerland, down at the foothill of the Alps. The main north to south passes are open for a short time in summer only, and the flats are densely populated with little open roads. Most of the roads suitable for a day or evening trip lie in between, the small west to east passes. They often feature very narrow tracks and are extremely twisted, with tight turns every few seconds. Here, with the low end torque and superb agility, this bike is perfect for some fun.

You are on to something that I have not considered. Maybe the content providers are using their taste in music. Content across the board are targeting a particular audience for expansion of repeat viewing. Commercials on tv have this feature. But they are not consider viewers taste in music. Seems as a “look at me venture”. I do not repeat these indulgences not on principal, but time for me is not to waste. That commenter deserves a read because it is thoughtful. Thank you. Comments are in fact content!

I own a 2014 NC750X and find this an excellent all-rounder and specifically a long distance tourer. I had to add some extras to make it more comfortable, but have not been able to find a bike worth upgrading to. The latest version is quite a bit more powerful in real feel, but the low seat height is uncomfortable, even though I'm only 1.73m in height. Not worth going for if you already own a NC. Overall a teriffic bike.

What an excellent, honest review of a brilliant allrounder,I own a 2017 DCT model & for me the only criticism is that Honda should have fitted a twin disc brakes as it’s a heavy bike & braking is only very average.

I ran a 2015 DCT version. If they fitted cruise control I would buy another in a heartbeat...

Excellent machine, which can be surprisingly responsive, fun and brutal in Sport mode if you so wish.

What a great reviewing format. If someone wanted everything, they needed to make an informed decision. This would be the video to recommend. Please keep It up.

This is one of the worst "reviews" of NC750X you can find on YT. This dude is reading what others wrote. Probably, the text comes from a Honda dealer... The density of videos which "smell" like paid "reviews", is very high on this channel. Almost all the bikes "reviewed" here, are just beyond excellent, without any flaw, at all.
I was watching different reviews about the new 400cc Triumphs, and found Juliane videos on them. Then I end up on the channel, and watched more than several videos, and managed to find this mediocre review, and more like it, or some ridiculous comparatives, and top tens, like the idiotic top 10 of the best scooters of 2023.
Prehaps, if you're interested in a particular bike, you should try to watch reviews from as many different sources you may find. Surely, your opinion about this video shows that you need to do it. Good luck.
PS: I took a look at your username, and I guess there might be a reason for you to apreciate the FICTITIOUS content of this channel...

Iam so tempted to bite the financial bullet and get the nc750x this spring, i fot problems with my hands and need an automatic, was looking at the Yamaha xmax 300 but can't get over how practical and is only 2500$ more than the xmax, but is still big commitment for me financially, so maybe i got make more money lol

@@leodoingthings1706 I'd rather stick with Yapanese brands. The problem with NC is super low fuel consumption, super low gravity level and storage compartment. I have non dct version and even 700 not 750 and still its just great. But with 2021 release I don't like they made it lower

@@miooodek If you want to own motorcycle for 10 years japs are good, i also consider many other alternatives for adventure bike as chinese brands use a lot of warranty. We are making internal combustion engines for many years, anybody can do it for them to serve 100k km as a blast.

Why is it that so many YT channels seem to feel the need to put unbearably bad music on their videos? No matter how good your content is, I will never subscribe.

Nice bike but its seat position is too high. I’m sticking with GW but if the seat was bit lower I would chose this bike because of great gas mileage.

Trouble us Yamaha beat them to this by 5- 6 years with the brilliant MT series ,
700’s , 900’s ect & T700’s all of them gems & great everyday inexpensive street & adventure bikes.

No need for this to exist with TransexualAlp, we just need the DCT and cruise control to transfer over.
