i did. unicorn and narrative had awful ms designs with the exception of jesta. literally everything else are over the top and ugly beyond words. destory mode unicorn is basically the ms version of super saiyan and it is stupid as hell if you ask me. the story maybe good but i can't take the series seriously with how ugly and silly the totally fragmented unicorn gundam looks with its super boxy belly bottom pants and cheesy led disco lights. not that i am a fan of the xi and penelope but at least hathaway is a direct sequel to cca which i loved as a kid.
Bright Noa definitely keeps his pimpin hand strong...but he still should have busted out the baby powder and damn near knocked him out, like he did to Amouro 🤣. Clearly it didn't do enough. Oh...and Quess deserved it.
It did have some serious problems....just like 0083. The difference is that 0083 suffered from too many writers wanting too many different things. Char's counter-attack suffered from one writer wanting too much. Tomino got overambitious and the quality of the movie suffered as a result. For example: it was never explained why Quess suddenly sided with Char. It wasn't explained why Hathaway HAD to be there with his father or why Quess's father used his connections to take him away. It was just "cause the story needed it". The dialogue between Amuro and Char was pretty good, but unless the story's theme focused on these particular issues, it was simply lost. The movie should've started where Zeta Gundam ended. With the Earth Federation doubling down on Spacenoids. This movie should've been the result of that. Hence the title. Too much with this movie just went wrong. And it frankly hurt the series. It's like Bandai doesn't know what to do with the franchise. I wish the whole thing got a revamp, like 0083 is getting.
I think Hathaway don't have to be there. Its just that they took 2 of their 3 seats so only one out of the 3 Noas can board the shuttle. He chose to go alone (first) because green hair waifu.
This is this was the point of no return for start of bad chronicles. That's why people loves beltochika children so much because of this movie. Yes movie has different plot than original story

It get worse All the heroes actions were all in vain Since turn a just reset humanity progress meaning no one ever learn their lessons and keep repeating the same mistake of starting war on each other
@@jrickducking6685 That pretty much sounds like real life to me. Because no matter how far we look back into human history, it will always be the same. Throughout time, everyone always ends up forgetting the lessons from other people’s wars. Conflict is just something that is ingrained into the the human soul. Every human being desires a story of some sort to their own life, and any storyteller will tell you that a good story always needs a “conflict” of some sort to even qualify as a story. The largest and most dramatic of conflicts have always been war. Which is why they make for such interesting stories that people end up making movies and shows about, like the Gundam series for instance (which tries to have an “anti-war” message but we ironically watch it because it’s war).
I watched the Hathaway movie last time and was curious what he did previously because he's like famous. So I watched this Char's Counterattack and just found out that Hathaway killed Amuro's Girlfriend. I thought he was like a hero back then but I was wrong :D
The original Hathaway' Flash novel follows another novel that depicted the events in CCA differently. Basically Noa was the one who sniped his own girl out of existence trying to save Amuro from her during the battle and got PTSD. Unsure the movie follows CCA's or the Novel tho, since it nothing was hinted, but he's less of a bitch from the novel timeline.
@@alan133 The anime version generally follow previous anime adaptations so I think they'll follow the movie version of CCA, but it would be interesting in a later movie we get a flashback where he thinks he's the one that killed Quess due to PTSD.
Didn't care for this movie when I first saw it. But I saw it out of order. I saw this after I watched the original series so I didn't the chance to appreciate the whole journey of Amuro and Char up this point and the tragic nature of their relationship. Even though they had much in common they always seemed to end up on opposite side of a conflict and would always end up fighting each other.
I want to watch Hathaway's Flash, but I still can't bring myself to see that brat after what he did in Char's Counterattack after watching this years ago. If he would be blasted away at the first scene then I might watch 😐

i did. unicorn and narrative had awful ms designs with the exception of jesta. literally everything else are over the top and ugly beyond words. destory mode unicorn is basically the ms version of super saiyan and it is stupid as hell if you ask me. the story maybe good but i can't take the series seriously with how ugly and silly the totally fragmented unicorn gundam looks with its super boxy belly bottom pants and cheesy led disco lights. not that i am a fan of the xi and penelope but at least hathaway is a direct sequel to cca which i loved as a kid.
Bright Noa definitely keeps his pimpin hand strong...but he still should have busted out the baby powder and damn near knocked him out, like he did to Amouro 🤣. Clearly it didn't do enough.
Oh...and Quess deserved it.
I've watched chars counter attack a bunch of times and yet I still watch this lol
haha, and I thought I knew CCA until I started making this video.
Great video! 👍 thanks for the recap
Thanks for watching!
This movie was sooo ahead of its time!
3:42
Quess knew. Somewhere down in her soul, she knew...
She wanted to. Probably hated him for daring to have a lover.
Do this with Origin, 0079 Movie Trilogy, 0083, TV Zeta, ZZ, Unicorn and Narrative please
It would've benifited from being a movie trilogy instead of being just one.
I think Hathaway don't have to be there. Its just that they took 2 of their 3 seats so only one out of the 3 Noas can board the shuttle. He chose to go alone (first) because green hair waifu.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Adventures of the Magical T!
just flying around in space showing up at random places
This is this was the point of no return for start of bad chronicles. That's why people loves beltochika children so much because of this movie. Yes movie has different plot than original story
Every time i watch CCA, i always said this "Damn you Hathaway and Quess"
2:23 LOL what happened there?
I have high hopes for Hathaway's Flash, but it being better than CCA is a tall order.
Can't wait till it's on Netflix
I saw this movie on Netflix like four days ago I think and it does have some questionable decisions but I did enjoy it. I would say it’s an 8/10
Didn't realize it was on Netflix, thanks for the notice!
Use the force, Amuro!
light sabers!
That little crunch noise was too much 😂
uh uh, its not lightsaber, its beamsaber
It was clearly a joke lol
man I haven't laughed THIS HARD at a review before xDDD thanks for showing me how silly and nonsensical the UC timeline is xD and thank you for calling it out ~~
🙌🙌🙌
Only New Type Human can follow the story…
This vid really helped, cuz I was semi-lost where this fell in this Gundam timeline
Also what's that music that plays at 3:45?
Out of Breath (No Backing Vocals) - Ian Post
isn't unicorn before Hathaway
No
@@pawdesu8451 isn't unicorn uc96 and hathaways flash is uc105 while CCA is uc93
@@athan336ok
“She reminded him of LALA” 😂
Ya know char was right in the end and I mean the long term end
Thanks For this preview. Unfortunately those parts of the saga aren't easy to find. If someone knows Where I can get it with ZZ Gundam as well, that Will be a nice help 🙌
CCA for all it's plot holes is still so good
'Jagd Doga (zion) decided to join as well claiming that they wanted to save the Earth Now' Lol, Good one buddy!
when they all of the sudden changed their mind and decided to help push back axis , was just too weird to not mention 😂
@@KAIJUCORP they almost pulled off the original plan, if they just went there shoot down all the earth federation MS, lol.
I completely forgot she pulled a screw attack without a suit in outer space……wat
OK for non Gundam fan this sound ridiculous in paper lol
It get worse
All the heroes actions were all in vain
Since turn a just reset humanity progress meaning no one ever learn their lessons and keep repeating the same mistake of starting war on each other
@@jrickducking6685 ik lol I am a gundam fan
I think I am more confused now.
Is this what to watch after the Origin and MS Gundam trilogy?
I really wish there's more room for Beltorchika in the movie...
5th luna should have did more damage than just wiped out Tibet.
Did he just call Beam Sabers - Light Sabers???
Basically, "i'm a lonely boy who has hots for hoes."
In Hathaway, "still lonely, need some weird quirky girl."
shouldn't it be "Do not watch this before gundam hathaway because hathaway is based on the books instead of a continuation of the movie"?
Maaaan, I am STILL confused
If you haven't watched the OG n Zeta Gundam n you jumped to the Movie you have a problem......
what kind of problem ?
Didn't care for this movie when I first saw it. But I saw it out of order. I saw this after I watched the original series so I didn't the chance to appreciate the whole journey of Amuro and Char up this point and the tragic nature of their relationship. Even though they had much in common they always seemed to end up on opposite side of a conflict and would always end up fighting each other.
That’s a great recap.
Ooooooorrrrrr you could just watch Char’s Counterattack which is also on Netflix now. But great video
Oh man and your telling me they are going to make a Netflix series about him probably “crying for daddy” lol
Lol Battle resumes with Lightsabers
use the force, guys
What happened to Amuro and Cazval though? Did they make ones babies in the timeline gap?? 🤔
Excuse me they're called *BEAM SABERS* NOT LIGHT SABER
I want to choke Hathaway everytime I watch this movie. And now they made a series about him? Grrrrr
I just watched it last night after I finished Unicorn Gundam. Not a proper order by any means, but was still a good watch.
HE KILLED AMURO’S GIRLFRIEND
Slapped by his father…lmao!
I want to watch Hathaway's Flash, but I still can't bring myself to see that brat after what he did in Char's Counterattack after watching this years ago. If he would be blasted away at the first scene then I might watch 😐
Lol When I first finished CCA I was very surprised to find out they wrote a novel based on Hathaway. I haven’t read the CCA novel but I heard Hathaway killed Quess instead, need to confirm
Just finished Char's Counterattack for the first time today, and I'm still pissed off at the kid.
@@KAIJUCORP yes he shot her mobile suit.
Hathaway turned into a giga chad after a few years lol
@@aranduyo4597 wtf bro, spoilers
Do all origin gundam in 10mins pls
So, did char and amuro actually die???
Its a shame investors didn't manage to build a better story on Chars counterattack. Now we see a mixed antagonist role on Hathaways character while the story was just changed ramdomly for this movie.
The nano computer idea actually isn't a bad one..note to self...explore possibilities.
Nano-machines, son!
I don’t get it. (Hathaway)I watched it but it felt incomplete, I thought it was going to be a series. Is there more coming?
Is gonna be a trilogy, the first one was pretty slow paced
