It’s sad that for Hathaway he had to suppress his style a bit to change for more Hollywoodish-less-melody music. Personally I say that was his strongest point in unicorn gundam’s OST. It was a great blend of classical style but also well utilised of digital music. With that style he could win an Oscar music award, had gundam unicorn be a featured film.

I wish so too, but I'm pretty sure Crunchyroll has exclusive streaming rights to 86. This wouldn't be a problem for me if they weren't doing a shit job of marketing it (seriously, they release clips from episodes weeks if not months after they air and their post time is sporadic instead of weekly like other shows).
When you listen to them in sequence, Sawano's score for "Hathaway" feels like a natural evolution and continuation from his scores for "UC" and "NT" combined. It's amazing!

You can really see how free spirited he is, from the way he answered the interviewer's question, to how he shared his composing inspiration, by simply doing his very own Sawano thing that still fits Shuko Murase-san's Hollywood vision for this movie and not being influenced by past titles.

Finally! That Thunderbolt Fantasy theme 'Darkest" is godlike. Never mind the Unicorn soundtrack and all of the rest. The most prolific composer in anime if not ever.
I didn't expect he would be this nice and full-spirited. Since he looks so serious in every live performances, I thought Sawano-san is a calm person.
I think that's because he fully concentrated on performing on the stage

Hathaway is by far the best Gundam movies. I like that it is related to the past and more realistic/adult.
