    I was raised in a cult and then joined another one when I was 22. I fled an abusive man with my children and I am not coping at all. This helped a lot.

      You find what works for you. Something soothing or that draws your attention to the present and makes you feel safe & present

    Men praying violently in church's against pagans from military movies can be very triggering to some who had escaped cults, I had watched a church scene from a military movie and it was gross, my mother told me I'll never make it to the army because of my loyal beliefs from the outside world, I don't always listen to her because she maybe still a cult member.
