That Prado sounds under powered. And for a million bucks, now that's something worth thinking about. But it's a Toyota and it will most likely outlive all of us. We'll done boys.
The Prado definitely lacks a bit in the power region as Toyota is very stubborn in terms of making more powerful engines, it's become smoother feeling then the previous generation but in terms of performance it can't compete with what some competition has out today. But as you have stated it's a Toyota and will last longer then us and the fuel economy will be better for large towing(said by Toyota) 😂 So yes it has its pros and cons, non the less thus Toyota has already become super sort after and sales are going to be off the charts
Nah that 2.8 will be gutless even with the new gearbox. Prado weighs a lot more than the hilux and fortuner so it would have benefited more from a power upgrade. The current model fuel economy isn’t any better I hardly get below 11l/100. City driving it gets worse, highway slightly better but you feel the poor performance. Overtaking is a hazard esp in tight situations and it already has the 150kw you can tune them for more power but I’ve never wanted to mess with reliability. It looks good though I like the new look so sad it carries the old engine
Yes must agree it's unfortunate that the performance isn't what we wanted and Toyota does have the issue of not making stronger motors even so for the Hilux grs, the power delivery is a lot smoother but performance does lack especially compared to the ranger raptor and it's powerful v6.. We love to see the engagement and really appreciate your take on the new car, love to hear it
Indeed it is a good value for the money, Well done guys! You did a good job plus I was looking forward to this review. Aren't we getting the 1958 trim?😢
The amount of water you still have left?? (2 min 51 sec). Must be the only car that tells you that! :) Apart from that, great review, keep up the good work!
Yes, it's actually funny to watch that back as he had said it correct in our preview before filming when just testing the car and so made a mistake when actually filming 😂was a very all over the show type of day for filming... But none the less we really appreciate the support and the positive words.. Thank you 🙏🏻
We appreciate the support a lot! And yes you should be able to sleep in the back with both rows folded but it may not be the most comfortable unless you have a small mattress with you.. So yes as long as you have something to sleep on there's plenty of space in the Prado 😉
Yes we have replied to a few comments regarding this, it was a genuine mistake as in our preview of the vehicle he called it the temp gauge and then whilst filming listed the fact that it was for water which was a mistake... The day was all over the place with regards to filming 😂 We appreciate the support 🌟
The porsche is a smaller more powerful car and so that may aid it in getting it's fuel economy better then that of the Volvo but we fully understand your point that the v6 does not effect effeciency enough to make a huge difference
We love to hear the positive feedback and appreciate it more than you could know, thank you. We hope to keep bringing good reviews to our viewers like you.
Yes, the interior on the car has not become super modern but this is the base model car and so the first edition which is the top of the range has even more jam packed changes on the inside and outside of the car.. This includes a much larger screen that spans the entirety of the screen(including the plastic) in the spec of the review, and that tech is more modern feeling as well as upgraded materials and a few more goodies that update the interior. But we could understand your perspective on how the cars interior still hasn't changed much as Toyota really does stick to doing 1 thing 😂just like they've done with the engine in the car. None the less the interior is very comfortable and quite well made even if it feels out dated
If we are not mistaken the 2nd row does not sit completely flush or level with the 3rd row when both are folded down, it should not be a major difference though.. that causes any issue when loading extra large items in the rear with both rows down. The cars 2nd row has a slightly different folding set up than the 3rd row which allows them to fold vertical behind the front seats for easy access into the rear and this slight difference in mechanisms create a slight difference in height when folded flat
After a revision of the vehicle we have found that the seats do not sit exactly level but rather sit at a slightly inclined angle, this however as said shouldn't make to much of a difference when loading larger items in or out
I do not know if Toyota or any other manufacturer has ever claimed one of their vehicles has a lifetime guarantee. Having said that, I had two Toyota vehicles that lasted 10 and 12 years respectively. I was quite satisfied - both still running well when I gave one away and traded the second for a Lexus. As for “Tupperware rattlebox”, I have yet to experience a Toyota product to match that description. Does Toyota have different quality control for different countries?
No V6 Petrol or V6 coming for Prado to SA. I dont think they have V6s anywhere in the world for new Prado. SA is stuck with very old 4 cylinder 150kw engine found in Fortuner and Hilux - which is seriously ridiculous for a Vehicle at this Price

Imagine how the 2.7L petrol must be like with 165 PS.😂
Toyota still using old camry buttons and cheap fittings. Overrated and overpriced Toyota. Rip offs.
Great review gents
The channels come a long way
Glad to have you been with us since the early days!
I honestly don't believe what u mentioned about the temperature Guage. It doesn't monitor water levels

Less power than top of the range Hilux
I definitely prefer this one out of the older one
Most of seven seater has limited space so Kia carnival is winning the most of cars when comes to practicality
GWM Tank is a better off-roader!
Be ready for a future review on that 😉
Prefer the old Prado. 2012, 1 KD-FTV, last of the best!
That's the lovely thing about cars is the options their is to satisfy what we like 😜
Another "review" by someone who knows nothing at all about cars.
Thanks for the support!

Halfway Toyota? Did that Toyota have a drinking problem?
😂
Well played!! I thought the same thing. 🤠
Best LC 250 review yet! Thanks. One Q. Can you sleep in the back with 2nd & 3rd row seats folded down?
We appreciate the support a lot!

This car is ugly
I swear who will hire this for VIP transport and weddings like we used to. They have just produced modern tractors in the name of Prados.
But their infontainment is not worth 1m
Let me check my affordability. At least i know i will be covered for the next 20 years
That’s your temperature gauge!, not how much water you have left

I have a 3.0 V6 turbo Prosche Macan S and had a Volvo XC90 2.0l 4 cylinder diesel before and the V6 is half the fuel consumption of the volvo
We love to hear customer experiences 😉
The porsche is a smaller more powerful car and so that may aid it in getting it's fuel economy better then that of the Volvo but we fully understand your point that the v6 does not effect effeciency enough to make a huge difference

still need a mortgage
The interior is so behind and like in 90

Hi guys, thank you for this review. Can the second row of seats lie flat , at the same level with the 3rd row? Thank you
We appreciate the support!
