This is the Adrift Expedition! No Man's Sky just got a brand new update called Adrift that adds some awesome new items and a new expedition. This video will help walk you through the expedition from start to finish so you can collect the new items like the Iron Vulture and The Ship of the Damned.

This was my first expedition. Could just manage to finish thanks to you Jason :) And now I'm hooked on this game :D
Did you see on the Frigate of the Damned with the UNKNOWABLE PAST, the "Times Damaged" and expeditions stats kept randomly changing... as if you couldn't know how many times it was damaged in the past. Thought that was a cool little detail.
The Vulture looks awesome!! It’s like the upgraded version of the StormTroopers drop ships (“helicopters”). Really cool!!
Nice one Jason, I've just completed everything, got all my missions done & got all the badges & the ship at the end & it won't let me finish at the terminal on the anomaly, & also won't give me the phase 4 badge, say's my inventory is full, but its not.. I'm not happy....
walkable ships with interiors would be cool to see in this game
If game lets us use exocraft walker in space we could be space Marines.
... functional-interiors wouldn't just be "cool". They would fundamentally change the course and longevity of the game in a direction similar to that of Star Citizen. It is this connection to the fantasy of casting-off indefinitely aboard the self-sustaining "hero-ship" that has tantalized that player-base into contributing nearly a billion-dollars towards a game that is only somewhat-playable after an unimaginable number of developmental years.
Just a taste of this type of customization, liveable-space... and potential crew-driven game-play would keep NMS thriving strong and indefinitely, in what is already a nearly "perfect-game", until the NMS Development Team is ready to step back into No Man's Sky with the technology they are developing for their upcoming venture of "Light No Fire".
This is my first expedition. Also first time playing with need to replenish resources and avoid dying. Haha. I’ve died 10 times so far. I’ve gotten good at finding my grave. Your videos have made it possible to complete this. Really would never have made it! Thank you!
Good tip about highlighting the mission before using the signal booster. Don't forget to pick it up, or you'll need to build another (ask me how I know). 😢
How do you know? LoL. I know because I did the same thing. Had to make new one and resources are definitely not as easy to come by.

Salty Juice is one of my favorite things to have in this game. It gives you an 8 second jet pack boost, great for collecting things on planets surfaces, like buried technology modules. It's made by processing fire berries into file water. Then add cactus flesh and salt to the fire water and bam, salty juice and jet pack boosts for days.

Main reason i quit playing nms is a work a real job and dont always have time to play nms. Ive missed out on so many things because im working. Once expiditions close i can never get that item. Its bs. You should be able to do those missions whenever you want
Somebody gave me 5 in anomaly.... So I got lucky, I play, but it's kinda slow going cause I only get Maybe 10 hours a week tops, that's nothing in this game ....
Great guides Jplays. What's your thoughts on the new ship. It's a nice looking ship...however I wish they allowed you to install the sentinel photon blaster. I don't think it will be as powerful as a Sentinel ship, which it should be. Those sentinel ships spoiled us pirates.
I really am spoiled, and as the shuttle-hating princess I am, I hunted down a sentinel ship as soon as the expedition took us to a dissonant planet. The problem is it's too good (found at A Grade) and it does everything the Iron Vulture does but better.

I quite enjoyed this expedition, though I realise, after playing through and completing each of them, is how much I don't know about cooking and using the nutrient processor.
Iron Vulture is reminiscent of the Skyranger in XCOM2, very cool.
My submarine just keeps saying “no buildings found” when searching😭😂
Did that for me too so I went to a different water world with deep water and it showed up first thing. Make sure you have that mission selected.

Only after completing the expedition I realized I should have started it from my regular save game using the expedition terminal, then I could have kept all my quicksilver.
Can you say a few word on how to end the expedition for the best rewards. I think in the last one you could learn a few words at the stations for good nanite rewards but that won't work this time.

I have never seen a derelict ship where you have to shot that goo to go through a door. And i done a lot of derelicts, full s rank tech and all. xD
A Word of Warning, dont teleport to a skyhigh base that has no teleporter if ur ship Is not repaired yet. U ll be doin a lot of jetpacking. Aldo, how low does it take for a crashed ship to respawn?

adrift current patch has glitch in planetary map generation in some case it can create free fall holes at least on console ps 4 version. i allready worte report at zendesk it can ocur situationl but game shutdown nd restart tends to fix it, it seem cache based bug. also if have hostile reputation towards vykeen, gek and korvax this glitch is more likely to happen.
I keep going through and getting stuck with doorways that seem to have invisible walls, or the barrier in the door can't be shot off with any weapon. This has happened multiple times.
This expedition has shown a glaring spotlight on one of the flaws of the new space station updates and it's that the abandoned and pirate stations are still rinky dink. My ships clip the sides going into the pirate stations.
I hope moving forward they update the pirate space stations(the abandoned ones can remain the same, them being so small kinda makes sense, that's why they were abandoned) and I hope they allow us to customize shuttles and solar ships and sentinel ships.
To be quite frank, when i watched npc ships dock at the old stations, they always clipped the stations too, and that was before the new stations was even thought out.
@@hajkie Yeah thats because ships used to be smaller but people didn't like that much so HG made them bigger.
The first time I tried to find the grave marker, someone had s4ealed it up in a cube with no way in. What a jerk. There was no way to see who did it.
I think waypoint stations look like cellphone towers...
Will the expedition give you crap about getting the ghostie frigate if you have the max amount of frigates in the main save??
Where in the world do I find a sunken freighter? I've searched 2-3 planets with water and every place I put the nautilus down and try to search it says something like "No buildings found"

I had a water system that had a water ice world nothing But water, and it was interesting to say the least.

I'm finding it difficult to find a sunken freighter coz everytime I deploy my sub and activate the scanner it days there's no building and now my sub has no power
I finished my expedition too and it was the first one I managed to catch day one, but how do I get times back to my main save?

On my play through, some twit decided to build a base, without doors or entrance, around the "Grave". Why?
If it happens to anyone else, or you find in game when you're doing a task from the Nexus someones base and buildings stopping you from accessing something, just look at the building, go to the camera (photo mode) in the menu and report the base, it'll ask you to take a photo, and the base will disappear for you straight away, giving you full access
I tried on XboxSX, but it didn't work. I wanted to remove the base at the portal. They changed the removal process. Used to be on their terminal to remove it from your world. And I never play with multi-player on, and these are showing up. I don't mind the comm balls but these bases are becoming a nuisance.
@@VyseSolo Must be just an Xbox thing? I use a PC, wouldn't know about the consoles. I've used the "photo to delete" a few times to get rid of bases around "popular" spots, like portals and and the sea of comm balls around crashed ship sites that youtubers tell everyone about. Just took the photo of any part of the base, didn't need to find the base computer.
Comm balls are annoying, just like a NMS version of tiktok "look at me" syndrome.
Seems silly that an expedition based on being totally alone would allow the placing of them, or any permanent structure.

After clearing the derelict freighter I did not receive a free freighter and now can’t claim the phase 4 badge with the free frigate… do freighters spawn naturally in expeditions? Can’t complete the expedition

I found the ending disappointing. The story was interesting for the first time since Looper, but the ending was disappointing.
I give up on this piece sh*t game. I spent almost a year, grinding my a** off. Creating a lot of big bad a** bases and collecting the baddest ships on this game just to watch it ALLLLLL disappear. That stupid Expedition 13 was still showing on the computer, making me think, oooh I must have to do it again. SO I DID!! Not thinking it was overwriting my main save FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
It's an opportunity to do things again, better than ever, you're no longer bound by your past save.
