YoloBox Ultra is my champion on the battlefield with 4K, NDI, Instant Replay, Scoreboard, Inviting Guests, Featuring comments, MultiStreaming, and actually many more!
Would the HDMI outs from the Rodecaster Video being 8bit make a lower quality recording files when recorded in ProRes or ProRes LT with the Atomos Ninja V compared with using an Atem Mini Extreme + Atomos Ninja combo considering its outputs are 10bit? Sorry for the silly question but this is a crucial deciding factor for me. Thank you matey!! 🙏🏻
Your video just popped up for me to view. I have seen lots of other reviews of the Rodecaster Video. Your style made this a very interesting podcast and especially the work your did with Berwick House. Most of the other reviews kept to their single person studio. Thanks for putting in the effort. A really great podcast, with a different context to the device.
"... and 4 and 5 connecting USB devices such as USB microphones and webcams." Not exactly: the USB microphones must be Rode mics. There is no corresponding limitation on the webcams, but they do have to support support UVC / send uncompressed streaming video / use YUL or NV12 format.
I don't know where the 614 millimeter measurement comes from, but it is fully implausible on the face of it. That would be over two feet tall (for American readers), a height which no desktop switcher is likely ever to be.
I would genuinely like purchase this even given the 1080p limitation and the higher price tag but I need to know a couple of things before I do. I love the auto switching function, I also shoot with canon r6 cameras, 3 of them, is there a way to get around the 30 min record limit using this device, or would it still just automatically stop recording?
I'm disappointed, ISO1080p and no 4K Is there ... * Phones w/4K? * Action Camera w/4K? * Studio Camera w/4K? * Cinema Camera w/4K? * Full Frame Camara w/4K? * Camcorders w/4K? * PTZ streaming camera w/4K? Why wouldn't you make the future video switcher in 4K?

Oh wow
And no NDI support? No screen share as video input?

The device looks very tall. Is the specified 614 millimeters the actual full height? Or do the buttons extend beyond that measurement?

Record on the unit, not on the cameras.
Hi there! I'm a new subscriber to the channel and loved this explanation of how you filmed the Berwick podcast video with it. Thanks so much! ~ Paul
