This was a really good game! I didn't watch this game live back then. The first time I saw this game wasn't until recently on TH-cam. This time I hope the USFL, and the NFL can get along. Because the NFL's not going away. And I really don't want the USFL to ever go away again either.
"Mad Love" is a BRILLIANT exploration of Harley and Joker's dysfunctional relationship, great story and an absolute MUST, ESPECIALLY for Harley fans. Will genuinely impact you.
The championship game featured teams representing two cities that had lost NFL teams at the time, Baltimore and Oakland. I was there, the team offered bus trip packages from the Baltimore area for $45 which included an end zone ticket. Went to several games in College Park mostly because I discovered people were unloading tickets for $5 or free after the first game. The team in reality was the I-95 Stars that season, because they still practiced in Philadelphia, and played in College Park. There were a lot of fans who drove over 110 miles from Philly to the games at Byrd Stadium.. Used to go the post game parties in a bar at the Holiday Inn where the team stayed in the area for their "home' games.
1995, they were in realty the I 95 Practicing in Philly, playing home games in College Park, which is closer to DC than Baltimore not even playing a down in Charm City.
@1:08 Anthony Carter would go on to shred the 49ers in the playoffs for 227 receiving yards for an upset vs favored SF (then Super Bowl perennial contenders). Definitely a big play WR at that time for Minn until the phenomenon known as RANDY MOSS.
You know Red Auerbach used to light up a cigar when he thought his Celtics had an important game put away. Hall of Fame DE Fred Dean and many ABA/NBA players in the 70's would also smoke in the locker room at halftime.
Just think if the Washington Redskins had Kelvin Bryant from 1983-1990. Washington would've won three at least three or four Super Bowls. The San Fransisco 49ers wouldn't have been the NFL team of the 1980s. It would've been the Washington Redskins!

Please bring back the USFL.
The one thing I couldn't get out of my mind was Invader head coach Charlie Sumner ...SMOKING ON THE SIDELINE!! What is this, the 60's???
Nice to see a football game that was 3 hrs including commercials to cut it down to little over 90 + minutes of 🏈 only.
we drove up from maryland for this game. great stuff
+charliejdk Went up on a bus package from Elridge that stopped in Baltimore.
Who would have thought that this was to be the final USFL game.
Jungle Love by The Time playing on the Giants Stadium PA System starting at 41:26. :)
did you like the Baltimore Stallions of the CFL when they won a Grey Cup?
Rooted for them in 1994-95, said to the new Browns fans, I'll root for Modell's when it hits the field.
Unfortunately the last championship game in the old USFL
Ederik Schneider The last game, period.
Stanford coach David Shaw at OLB for Oakland.
the BALTIMORE STARS ARE THE PHILY STARS.. one of best FOOTBALL TEAMS IN PRO FOOTBALL HISTORY,,

A matchup of a team that moved and a team that's merged
Who would think that after 1985 Jim Mora would coach Bobby Hebert in New Orleans with the Saints?
I'm hoping in 2020 the XFL can bring back the Oakland Invaders
I meant Washington would've won at least four Super Bowls during the 1980s!

Spring football was and is a good thing. But money and greed messed the USFL up.
