As a kid growing up in Michigan the USFL was awesome... When the Panthers won this game me, brother and cousins all ages 13-17 all having a pool party with this playing in the background was one of the best moments of my childhood.
Thanks for posting these games. After he left the USFL, Derek Holloway (#29) was my strength and conditioning coach in high school. Thirty years later, almost everything I do in the gym, I learned from him. He was a good guy, but I think I got on his nerves.
Thanks for sharing. This was a heck of a game. The first two seasons of the USFL were terrific. Loved the USFL, too bad it folded so quickly as I think the league would have succeeded if given enough time.
Three Steelers, who have played in the Super Bowl, were on that Michigan Panthers roster back in 1983. They were Thom Dornbrook, John Banaszak and Ray Pinney.
thanks for sharing. i remember a little of the usfl, i was only 6 at this time? but i do remember a little of the usfl, i don't read about the game just start watching and its like watching it live lol
I wanna time has passed I was just wondering if that 2 point conversion at the end of the game cost anybody some big money in Vegas, That might be a little hard to a research just wondering
I think the USFL would have made it if they would have kept what they had instead of listening to the Orange Menace. Once again that piece of crap touches something and once again it goes up in smoke.
Great memories! Michigan Panthers were awesome! There are still a lot of Panthers fans around today. The USFL could have been a great football league, but the owners spent themselves into oblivion. Blaming Trump for the demise of the USFL is nonsense.
He was the one who demanded they move to a fall schedule and then sue the NFL. If they hadn't done that they might still be around. Once again Trump's business incompetence cost other people a lot of money.
I would love to see the USFL make a comeback

This was good football.
This game I DID watch live, and rooted for the Michigan Panthers to win. Anthony Carter did me proud!

Sean Landeta, Bart Oates, Chris Godfrey - the '86 Giants did OK with guys in this game.
I never paid attention to this league at the time, but watching it now it could have made it, minus Donny's intervention.
