I had a Chihuahua for 15 years. His name was Cheech. I miss him every single day. He was 5lbs of awesome. Back when Myspace was King he had furiends from all over the world. The mailman couldn't believe how much mail and gifts he got. ❤Best little dude ever.
That's a really great name . Many years ago, I had chihuahua mix who was beyond loving even though she was mistreated by the previous things who owned her (she was rescue , a family of mine member saw her in a backyard and saw how the dog was treated , so she walked up knocked on the door and legit told the people she was taking their dog , that chihuahua was surviving off of 1 can of cat food a day that was split between a bunch of cats and herself , that dog would also be forced to search for grubs so she could sustain herself) either way we named her chi-chi (yep, we named her after a food product ) but her nickname was Cheech and she was genuinely special . That dog showed me how amazing chihuahuas in general are. That being said I now I have a pig named Cheech. It's a nice name that is not super common. And sorry for the long comment, whenever I mention cheech , I have to tell her story ,because all it took was one person to say/do something to save that amazing dog .

@@rickyricardo3551 Thank you for your story as well. Chihuahuas are really great dogs when they are taught to love everyone. People don't understand how scary life must be when everyone and thing is bigger than them. Inside their hearts they don't understand they are little. I wished I could afford to run a Chihuahua rescue.
I think these "Ambassadors of Love and Loyalty" were great gifts from the Creator to teach us a grand lesson we could learn no other way. How we can miss them so much after their passing that we are loyal to their offspring/kin/breed for generations. I hope one day there is a provision granted to us so that we can 'buy back' or 'repurchase' the life of a beloved pet so that we can spoil them all over again. Meanwhile, I offer a toast to Cheech for accomplishing his mission.

There’s something about Chihuahuas. So much personality in such a little container, and they are very much lap guard dogs! Kevin is having a wonderful life with his family and especially with his mommy❤
I’ve seen proof that a chihuahua will physically attack an intruder to protect their family, while big dogs run away or are just neutral.

My tiny little 4 pound Chihuahua girl doesn’t even look real but she sure does let everybody know she’s here❤️ chihuahuas are so attached to their Family, and they have fierce hearts. But my little girl has no teeth because when I rescued her, her teeth were rotted. It doesn’t stop her from barking And trying to chase any dog while we’re Walking. She thinks any street she’s on is her street. She wins hearts wherever she goes, people love her. I have a deer head Chihuahua And she does not seem deformed at all because she has a normal nose and normal breathing, and a perfectly formed body that has perfect proportions. Chihuahuas are one of the most ancient dog breeds from Probably before Toltec times in Mexico.

I had a chihuahua pomeranian mix named Franklin that looked just like Kevin except with white on his face instead of black fur. The way he acts and talks reminds me so much of him, it makes me tear up. Rest in peace Mr.Franky ❤

This poor dog is completely overweight... Many people just overfeed and thereby endanger their pets, they don`t mean no harm but it takes so much quality of their life's and more importantly it`s a health hazard.

My Chihuahua gets mad when we laugh at him! He turns his head and looks so upset. Its adorable. 😊 I always tell him "we're laughing with you boo-boo, not at you!" I love that little guy. And Kevin looks so sweet too.Chihuahua's are the best. (but they're all a little crazy! Know that going in...😂)

Our old chihuahua was similar in size and temperament. She lived to 18. Her non chihuahua ancestry was obviously mini pin and papillon. She was 10 pounds and should have been 9 and was an absolute nugget. Could not hop on a couch or anything higher than a curb. She was adorable and very possessive of my Mom

In my opinion the Lord knows we love his creatures. Love is forever, it never dies. I am convinced God will reunite us with our pets in some form or fashion in eternity. Not to do so does not figure with the attributes of God.

I grew up with all kinds of big dogs until one day our family got a chihuahua and I’ve never been without one since. Life isn’t the same without at least one chihuahua in it, they’re the best friend anyone could ask for ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Had same weight problem with my Chihuahua Miya. Tried everything until last year. "Farmers Dog" food for weight loss finally worked. Took her 3-4 months. She went from 8 - 6.8lbs. Couldn't believe it. She had so much energy.
HE is hilarious, but the big bloodhound has his number. He is a rotund little ball of joy. June ignores him to hilarious levels as Alex said in their comment. It's true. Anyway you're blessed with such a little bundle of fun.

My dog died from being overweight. Fluids built up around her heart and she was struggling to breath. I'll never let another pet get overweight again. It kills me every time I think of her.
it's the whole reason he looks like a pug. chihuahuas aren't meant to weigh 8 pounds regardless of activity. my 12 year old chihuahua lays around all day and pretends like she doesn't have feet so she can be carried everywhere (ever since she was a baby lol) and still weighs 5 pounds. the reason is because we don't give her more food than she eats and don't give her dog treats (still gets the occasional piece of chicken/beef)
@@coolguy-wx6qv Not every dog is the same. Some dogs have different metabolisms, just like humans. The important thing is that these owners are aware of the problem and are trying to change it with the help of a vet.
@@BhappyD Ya I get that. But I am a little bothered that I didn't hear anything about taking him on walks during all that. Throwing the toys in the yard is fine but he needs some good old fashioned walks.
@@Trenchcoat3yes sir, my Yorkie was sick for a little and didn’t walk very much, he got really chunky then after at least 3 walks a day for 2 weeks - 1 month he was back in shape. Dogs require at least 1 walk a day, true!

Dear Lord... Combining the bizarre cuteness of pugs and chihuahuas has created some kind of adorable-inversion mass horizon that I can't look away from.
Kevin is a furred potato and is precious beyond belief.
Maybe take Kevin to doggie daycare a couple of days a week. He'll get to run around and play with other dogs and work off some of that weight.

Every pot has its lid, sometimes the lid isn't exactly the same size, but it'll fit anyway and all's well and overly happy. Well done pot & lid, you don't have to worry about not fitting. It fits 🐕+🐶=💞💕💋
Part of the reason Kevin is "lazy" is that he's obese. It's simply harder for him to move and breathe with that extra weight - it's not hard to slim down a dog if you catch it early, and for Kevin, probably 1 lb is all he needs to lose.
I couldn't agree more, that's what I was thinking as well, those breeds need to be on the thinner side, I had a chihuahua and he was incredibly obese (my parents used to make him half a burger everyday) and he had a hard time doing anything. A vet may even suggest this cutie lose a 1lb or 2.
Think aqua therepy might help with the mobility issue?
If his diet is truly good, with absolutely no cheating, the little dude might have metabolic issues.

Poor thing...the little dog's lifespan is significantly decreased by its obesity...bet the owner is obese.
It's not like he can get into the cupboards or jump on the counter. Just put less in the bowl. Yes, he'll be angry at first, but he'll get over it and she'll have him for longer.
