Sidewinders is a 'Big IQ' move for these wheels. No riser adapt needed and the extra double Gulls are an ideal suspension system for the skateboard design. Heck, I've even seen a board (2×) that the trucks were just on the nose and tail in different spots on the deck to accommodate a set of 99mm wheels. The second time, it was a set of 85mm and the guy I told the idea I witnessed just went out and built it the next day. Also, in my collection is (somehow) a BMW StreetCarver and a Cinnamon Toast Cereal box that holds an actual box of cereal. (Or Cheez'Its)
I have an Atom longboard with these wheels on them for commuting on the rough, pothole ridden, manhole cover and or subway grating every 20 feet, New York City streets and I have to say they've lived up to my expectations. They shine on rough pavement and sidewalks. Don't expect these wheels to take you very far on soft dirt or thick grass. They may market them as "off road" but they don't go as far as you'd think. Stick to tires for real off road boarding. Be careful of loose gravel. The person who made this video is right. I had my board for about 3 weeks when I was on a city street and I hit a patch of scattered gravel, not enough to notice, and my board skidded sideways and I slipped out falling back onto my elbows embedding that gravel into them. Ironically had I been on soft dirt that gravel wouldn't have mattered. All in all I'm happy with the board, it is heavy because of the wheels but I'm 6ft 1in and I lift weights so not an issue for me. If you want to ride rough streets then these are good wheels to get. They roll forever and the ride is very stable on a drop deck board. Don't get them for any other type of board because you'll just wear yourself out stepping down to push from the height you'd have to have a board to put them underneath . My main complaint would be just watch out for loose gravel while the wheels are still new, the traction problem improves with use. I would highly recommend them for city use.
I swear you're sometimes following my search history. I was literally just looking at these wheels yesterday on Amazon and thinking about getting them. Thanks for the review!

I've had these wheels 2+ years now, and the primary continuous benefit for me is giving me the reassurance that: the crappy cracked bad pavement, bad pavement-to-sidewalk transitions, random pebbles, debris, sticks, branches, pinecones, and all those things that you know could send you tripping off your board ... they just don't matter. And Since I use my board daily to get to work as my A to B, that comfortable, reliable functionality is priceless.
Man your videos are amazing! Very honest, to the point with very clear explanations. I’ve been riding these wheels for a year now, and I thought they would be good for wet patches, but beware they really slide on any wet surface. Otherwise they’re nice for really patchy or rough roads.
Bruh, who dislikes informational video reviews they should be thankful for someone like you who's buying these products to tell us if they're worth buying or not. Thanks for the content keep it up 👍
i recently got an MBS longboard with these wheels and i love it. i pretty much only ride popsicles or larger cruisers. The tires are definitely soft and bouncy but if you're just riding down a hill or street these are legit! the most comfy ride i've ever had on a board. definitely meant for a long board with the dropped trucks because i cant imagine these on anything else. the riser you would need on anything would probably be massive. it's like driving a monster truck on the street.
awesome video! personally I love these wheels because you never have to worry about rocks or cracks stopping you. but like you said loose dirt it does not work very well. Any other surface that is slightly harder or more compact these wheels are a blast on!
I have a second set.... The wheels themselves are around a 55 width with only a 35mm contact patch. All terrains in any form are absolutely useless on grass, gravel, and rough, under maintained (paths). My wheels are the Ricky Glazier MBS set, currently. I had an original set of black colored ones, which absolutely start to chunk away on really rough, bumpy asphalt. As for traction, they really only barely make the cut..., they are fine on certain trails in my locality, and that excludes any time it rains (why are you skating in the rain and risking warping your board while screwing the bearings to zilch?) So... My rating is a solid 4 outta 5. My testing conditions are more extreme and adequately test most of the durable boards I've managed to build throughout my simple 15 years experience. I've skated through rain, on greenways & bike trails, and even a few highways and sections of interstate around about 15 states and about 35 WalMart corners. Would I do all that over again with MBS All Terrain? Absolutely, and I would even do it across the entire country. Now, my caveat is thati dwell in the desert where there is plenty of hard-packed, baked up dirt paths, and similarly less functional sidewalks than ought even be allowed. My particular notion when I build a deck is that one day, it will be capable of crossing several hundred miles eventually, which is easiest accomplished while riding on the bike trails, especially through Metropolitan areas. Not all of the trails are smooth paved and occasionally not even at all. Avoid rocks, dodge tree roots, and if you CAN jump the board across the small stream, don't..... But yes, I will testify that I have owned two sets of these wheels and the current featured set from MBS & Aussie man Ricky Glazier are easily my go to deck on the Sector 9 Waimea Bamboo on Signature Benji Carver Gullwing Trucks is my first grab over every other skateboard I own.
I saw these in our local skate shop. You gave a great review on them. My streets here are rough asphalt and I wanted to skate conveniently on my street, it's so rough. I think I will give these a try. Thanks
I've had a set of these wheels for a long time now actually, and in my experience they are most certainly best suited to rougher pavement, not dirt or gravel. I run them on a 10 ply drop down longboard deck thats about 40 inches long with 11.5 inch wide trucks, and the whole setup easily weighs in at around 15 pounds. However, in my personal opinion these wheels most certainly aren't bad especially if you live in more of a mountainous are with less than ideal roads, but I certainly wouldn't put these wheels on any normal park deck or cruiser. All in all I think that the 75mm range is best for most longboarding applications, and 70mm through 60mm in a softer duro is better for cruisers. Going all the way up to 100mm is more of a niche size for an uncommon application.
@@fRiTs840 Honestly man that's a hard question to answer, first and foremost it's not a deck I purchased, it was gifted to me, original owner said it was to heavy for him to really get any air with.... Which is weird because it's a longboard, granted I've taken this thing to shred a skatepark before but it's really only good for ripping through the bowls in that regard. Second, having gone back and looked at it, it's actually a 13 ply deck with 2 fiberglass layers sandwiching the main stack, which I suppose technically makes it a 15 ply but eh. If I had to guess, i think it was actually a mountain board before I got my hands on it, certainly would explain the overbuilt nature of the deck, and the strange comment about not being able to get any air with it. I’ve used these on my Bamboo setup with 1inch risers, mind you this is a every heavy setup. We go camping often these work great at campgrounds and parks. If you want a quick ride around the camp do it. My only complaint is with catching water.
Setup the 120mm on the (/my old) landyachtz Evo 2ys ago, never did regret my choice. Really carvy! For mushy dirt etc, you just have to "lean back". Most fun I've had has been in snowy conditions on the streets. Really gives you control over your slides/slashes.
Would these help dampen vibrations against concrete? I live near a trail that has decent concrete but also it still hurts my arches in my feet bc of the vibration while skating
The pavement in my area is pretty rough in most spots. I got these wheels for my dropdown longboard and they did the trick. It’s easier to roll around on these.
Sounds like the perfect rural, run-down industrial town wheel honestly. If they're good for rough compact surfaces, that's the kind of stuff i grew up on, and you really need SOFT soft wheels to ride comfortably on that janky pavement and dirt. I used to get cramps in the soles of my feet because of the vibration, so if these help cut that down at all it'd be a win.
I find they allow my to bomb hills on dirt roads, so that's pretty rad. They definitely can't go in soft dirt but I find they work great on rough terrain, gravel, and over small to medium sticks. These eat death pebbles for breakfast.
I have this wheels and they came stock with my MBS longboard… I don’t like them …simply because the grip is not good … they are super slow and heavy … I also had 3 crazy crashes …because they get really slippery if the road is wet … Change them for Cloud wheels …and much better now … All is personal opinion and experience…maybe somebody like wheels with less grip …and then easy to slide around… But in my case I was looking for grip and good speed …
I just got mine delivered. I am a longboard surfer but I haven’t had use of my car so I usually skate on the side but I constantly worry about going downhill on sidewalks and on streets and hitting an object or crack that might cause my board to stop. I hear these wheels correct those problems.
Any time i hear about "all-terrain" wheels i have to wonder who in their right mind plans on taking their longboard on a dirt path or whatever anyway, like "oh we're climbing Mount Everest today? bet bro lemme grab my longboard"
I mean. I’m looking for wheels that are a bit better for compact gravel paths cause some places in my town are easier to get to via those paths like my buddies place.
@@Nox113Gamez I would say get off road wheels, some are pretty big big and almost the size of mountain board wheels The only downside is there pneumatic tires. Meaning they need to have air in them like bike tires.
Super super helpful again with great production value. I like the fact that the type of ground was covered. I thought these could be taken off road but if not compact and Billy was getting pitted no way my heavy ass won't sink in. I was curious about these wheels after watching John Hill skate these but after this I'm not buying them.
I have these wheels and I ride on the side of the road in like the bike lane great for picking up and carrying speed especially with the right bearings. Wet conditions wise depending on the board definitely will need splash guards they like to sling water at you.
Hey, I haven't personally tried shark wheels but I have these all-terrain wheels and they work great on rougher roads and streets, and they go over sticks and pebbles really easily for me. Hope that helps!
the way i see it is that large wheels will generally be the same. it would be more beneficial to get something like 85mm speedvents or caguamas as rhey use better urethane. mbs and sharkwheels are more of a gimmick and dont really do as they are advertised. cags provide a more cushiony ride and speedvents are the meta for going long distances over all types of terrain. 77a vents shoyld handle rough terrain very well. speedvents are also made of verg high rebound urethane meaning they will hold speed well and go faster overall. they hold a world speed record for a reason
Had these wheels on a 41" drop through and some sidewinder 2s and my board was basically a jeep that would roll over most things and also wheels with tread like these make a lot of tire noise
@@concrete-waves yeah I was decided if I should buy those or not and thanks to your review sounds like I'm better off with oj and dogtown cruiser wheels. Thanks again for helping me safe money lol
I have an aluminum beer can board can I use these on it for a beater board so I don’t have to worry about it getting hurt or damaged with some bones big balls bearings and I love riding it The feeling of knowing that you have zero concern of hitting rocks sticks and other obstacles it is fantastic I also didn’t see a patch of mud that was kind of deep and they pushed right through no problem, same situation my buddy’s board literally sank down to the trucks and he went flying
Thinking of putting these on a Kendall End of World with some CX's- Sidewalks are uneven in places, so these seem perfect -streets are too unsafe these days with phone zombies
Do you think that ghost board would be good for a beginner, I really like how they look but I don't know if they would be a good choice for my first longboard, also I would probably change wheels and that stuff
How do you think about using them on a surfskate for brick sidewalks? With my 70mm 78A wheels its just vibrating till i cant feel my feet anymore, so 100mm could maybe solve this? Or does it make no real difference?
I haven't tried in wet surfaces, but I don't think they'd be that functional since the contact patch tapers. I'd guess that you'd want a large wheel where the contact patch is making full contact with the ground for the most amount of friction
I'm thinking on getting a atom all terrain board that has these weels would it be good for just crusing I mainly is gonna use it at a campground and it dosent have the smoothest pavement obviously just wondering if it would be good for just crusing
Is this going to fit over a mini cruiser? (It should, right?) The sidewalk over here is atrocious and skating on the road is suicidal. Having larger wheel should be able to help me go along the sidewalk much easier.
Trying to find a set of wheels that will help with my longboard vibrating because all the roads in my town are paved with gravel and rocks in them for cars. It hurts my ankles and feet a lot. I work on my feet for my job so I can't afford to have them injured. Would you recommend these or another? The wheels that came with my board are conical cruiser wheels 78A and 65mm. I already invested over 130 bucks in safety equipment to learn, excluding my board.
@@SPZ909 I went to a skateboard shop and i told then which town I'm in and they said "no set of wheels will fix those shitty roads just gotta deal with it man" 😂, so I ended up just putting down the board because I work on my feet all day and couldn't risk ankle injuries or ankle pain on a 8 hour shift in home depot
If you had to choose between SharkWheels and these All Terrain wheels, which would it be? Specifically asking in regards to overall rough streets, and how well each could handle pebbles and stones, and little sticks. (Everysingle time I've fallen from a longboard/skateboard, has been due to freaking pebbles) (I want to minimize this scenario) Thanks!

I was curious about these wheels after watching John Hill skate these but after this I'm not buying them.
Thanks Dean, appreciate you always watching and dropping a comment. Glad I was able to clarify for ya 🤙🏼 Enjoy your weekend!
I have these wheels and I ride on the side of the road in like the bike lane great for picking up and carrying speed especially with the right bearings. Wet conditions wise depending on the board definitely will need splash guards they like to sling water at you.
My main obstacles when I'm cruising are cobblestone streets and sticks, would you recommend getting these over shark wheels?
Hey, I haven't personally tried shark wheels but I have these all-terrain wheels and they work great on rougher roads and streets, and they go over sticks and pebbles really easily for me. Hope that helps!
I've just built my crusier, and I'm thinking of buying this instead the ones that I had
Sick video btw!!
Supporting from MX🇲🇽
hey thanks for the review was guna buy cloud wheels for my eboard but only wanted them to go on dirt lol this saved me alot of money
I have these and they are great on compact dirt roads.
i skated off a dike in the Netherlands and it was fun, on grass these wheels need a steep downhill angle. also kind of noisy on asphalt
Nice vid, I use shark wheels often because of rocks and twigs and rough terrain, might give these a go
Been thinking of buying these for my roller skates coz my bike and skate roads are terribly rough and regular soft wheels dont cut it
Can you review decathlon longboards ?
Ouuuiii Okay! , Imma check these out 🙏🏽 thanks for the review!
the way i see it is that large wheels will generally be the same. it would be more beneficial to get something like 85mm speedvents or caguamas as rhey use better urethane. mbs and sharkwheels are more of a gimmick and dont really do as they are advertised. cags provide a more cushiony ride and speedvents are the meta for going long distances over all types of terrain. 77a vents shoyld handle rough terrain very well. speedvents are also made of verg high rebound urethane meaning they will hold speed well and go faster overall. they hold a world speed record for a reason
Would you recommend them?
Also wich bearings would you recommend for water?
Can i find out what is the Font you use on your Title "All Terrain Wheels"
Thanks.
Bro you gotta try out Lean Boards
Def on the list haha
If you do that then you have to do that major arc board too and if you do that then you also need to do the curfboard. It's a slippery slope
Had these wheels on a 41" drop through and some sidewinder 2s and my board was basically a jeep that would roll over most things and also wheels with tread like these make a lot of tire noise
I wonder if anyone has recorded the sound these wheels make....
@@dianachewning1470 it's kind of like a humming, if you've ever heard a car pass by that made a lot of tire noise it's like that but higher pitched
I just use 85 mm arangotang wheels, and they are good enough for all terrain
I have the atom atr board and wheels and they grip better than any other wheel in the wet but spray water everywhere
Been waiting for a video about those wheels.
Dope! Glad we could cover it 👍🏼
@@concrete-waves yeah I was decided if I should buy those or not and thanks to your review sounds like I'm better off with oj and dogtown cruiser wheels. Thanks again for helping me safe money lol
This intro made my subscribe. No cap.
Love your content, keep it up :)
Thanks Ryan. Appreciate that bro!
Thinking of putting these on a Kendall End of World with some CX's- Sidewalks are uneven in places, so these seem perfect -streets are too unsafe these days with phone zombies
Phone zombies. I like that 😂
Do you think that ghost board would be good for a beginner, I really like how they look but I don't know if they would be a good choice for my first longboard, also I would probably change wheels and that stuff
Got some ordered. They good for rain?
What deck are you using? I love the look of that board
That is the MBS All-Terrain Longboard, 39"
Sweet, thanks!
Do you think I should get these or shark wheels
How do you think about using them on a surfskate for brick sidewalks? With my 70mm 78A wheels its just vibrating till i cant feel my feet anymore, so 100mm could maybe solve this? Or does it make no real difference?
Is it possible to put a waterborne adapter on a 22 inch penny board?
So what would be a better buy, shark wheels or the all terrain? I ride shark wheels and want to know is it worth the extra money for all terrain.
Where I live it's really old and the pavement in 90% of places shows it so I can't really skateboard so these seem pretty good
HI, what your experience with wet surfaces? What about when is raining? Thanks
I haven't tried in wet surfaces, but I don't think they'd be that functional since the contact patch tapers. I'd guess that you'd want a large wheel where the contact patch is making full contact with the ground for the most amount of friction
How do they compare to abec11 super flys 97mm?
Hey there I was asking can u recommend me some low budget wheel for crusing on a skateboard?
Thank you so much you helped me out a lot
You hurt your hand juggling it lol
Lol dude that hurt 😂
I'm thinking on getting a atom all terrain board that has these weels would it be good for just crusing I mainly is gonna use it at a campground and it dosent have the smoothest pavement obviously just wondering if it would be good for just crusing
I'm not a beginner I know how to ride I'm just thinking about getting a new board
best skate review channel, keep up the awesome work 👍❤️
Is this going to fit over a mini cruiser? (It should, right?) The sidewalk over here is atrocious and skating on the road is suicidal. Having larger wheel should be able to help me go along the sidewalk much easier.
VT 'Dirt Roads, seem to be, a 'place' to ride these. They're often less pot-holed than the Tar Roads, so, there IS That to consider!
Anyone thought of putting mountain board wheels/trucks on a skateboard/cruiser and using that as an atb?
Good video. Very informative. Thank you.
could you do a review on "Would Boards" I want to get one but don't know if its really worth it
Trying to find a set of wheels that will help with my longboard vibrating because all the roads in my town are paved with gravel and rocks in them for cars.
Which wheels did you end up buying?
@@SPZ909 I went to a skateboard shop and i told then which town I'm in and they said "no set of wheels will fix those shitty roads just gotta deal with it man" 😂, so I ended up just putting down the board because I work on my feet all day and couldn't risk ankle injuries or ankle pain on a 8 hour shift in home depot
If you had to choose between SharkWheels and these All Terrain wheels, which would it be?
Specifically asking in regards to overall rough streets, and how well each could handle pebbles and stones, and little sticks.
(Everysingle time I've fallen from a longboard/skateboard, has been due to freaking pebbles)
(I want to minimize this scenario)
Thanks!
I'm thinking of buying these wheels with Original S10 trucks. I can't really decide on a good topmount deck with a nice drop to go with that setup.. Does anyone have recommendations? I also heard that these wheels can easily be converted into e-skate wheels which is always nice :)
What about a big grass hill?
What about short grass for like parks or short green grass open spaces
As long as the ground is compact and not mushy, you should be fine. You can see in this vid I used it on grass - th-cam.com/users/shortsAYFSjn33Nxk
Yo, could you do a video covering best wheels for surfskate.
Size, width, Urethane, ect ect. Be good to have somebody cover how size and durometer effect the way a surfskate feels. Cheers 🤙🏼
