    Finally an actual review. I’ve seen 8 videos on these wheels and every single one was completely vague.

    Apparently they make surprisingly good rain wheels. 90% of the community hates shark wheels but haven't tried them (including me lol) good to see you're more open minded than the rest of us.

      I was speakiong to someone who ahs been using them in the wet and says that's not the case. Not as grippy as other rainwheels or some wheels like clear zombie hawgs. As well, I think it's jus the urethane that provides the grip. It's grippy, thaney thane ... Idk but I will try myself soon

      @@LongboardingExplained ah, interesting. I've seen some people say the small contact patch and weird edges leave a lot of room for water displacement.

      Nah gimmick fad wheel. Based on the modernist concept of making the mentally infantile feel special about themselves to delusionally cling to junk products.

    I love my Shark wheels. I had 70 and 72mm for awhile. I've been riding the 95mm for a year now. I like them cause they look cool.

  • @michaelmann5105
    @michaelmann5105 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    If anything I thought they would maybe slide incredibly well. Because of the design with only part of the wheel surface touching the ground I imagine the contact patch to me much smaller than a lot of similar diameter wheels

    • @LongboardingExplained
      @LongboardingExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even though the contact patch is kinda small, they're still kinda grippy. I think the urethane formula is grippy and I I think they'd get grippier the closer I get to the core

    Just got some of the 97mm shark wheels. In my (also still very limited) opinion, I agree. They're good wheels, they do what I expect. They don't make me a better skater, riding on wet payment still blows ass.
    So far I've noticed 2 things unique to them.
    One, they are loud. That might really upset some people.
    Two, they "fix" wheel bite.
    Its very strange and easily the only objective benefit. Because the edge waves in relation to the boared, instead of biting, my board bounces off.
    It's insanse how much safer they are in those conditions. A+ on that front.
    I wonder about applying this to other wheels.

  • @majesticmf7514
    @majesticmf7514 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    They preform decent when its slick but the ony ones where prefomance is better than any other normal wheel is there LDP ones that are 95mm they deflect rocks and grip offroad amazing

    I'm liking the Fireball Beast 76mm wheels for my Bustin Boards Sportster 35 at the moment. They seem pretty good quality at a good price, and they should be good for when I'm feeling ready to work on slides. I think it's tough to beat the bang for the buck for the Fireball Beasts. I knew about the Shark Wheels 72mm wheels, but the Beasts were a better price and a bit bigger.
    I haven't tried the Fireball Tinder 70mm wheels, but I do have a set of the 65m Tinder wheels on a 27-inch cruiser, and they seem fine.

    I heard they were designed to save your life in case you hit a pebble compared to regular skate wheels

  • @TheReal_DeanD
    @TheReal_DeanD 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    In one instance the 60 mm shark wheel that I have did spit out a small pebble much easier than a conventional 78A wheel I had on previously. I felt the bump minimally vs when I rode over a pebble with a regular wheel another time. It may provide some benefit but to me it wasn’t worth the extra cost.

    I bought these wheels there ok. I would not recommend then specially because of its price because they have the qualities of a cheap 20-30$ wheel even then I’ve had 30$ wheels that had better urethane with a considerably higher roll. These wheels feel like they are fighting you when pushing not too fun but I’ve seen way worse wheels so overall these wheels are kinda bad. But if you live in a area with horrible roads/sidewalks and large cracks in the sidewalk etc and your not able to have large wheels on your board for comfort these wheels actually love eating up potholes and large imperfections with little impact unlike other wheels if I ram though them you feel it a lot more

    How deep do the grooves go? Like could you grind them down past the grooves, to the point that they're just a normal well worn-in wheel and then compare them to when they were fresh? That'd be interesting to see if they're better or worse without the gimmick

    So this must be the tenth video I’ve watched regarding these wheels. In none of them there is talk about that they are square and how they can roll even though. How does it work?

    • @tehMaloWalo
      @tehMaloWalo 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      they aren’t actually that square. they’re just a really boxy circle and they’re really soft so when you have weight on the board they round out even more.
