GW did just release a Primaris LT that has all the wargear options included. I assumed that was why all the Chapter specific LTs were dropped from Datasheets. And honestly it makes more sense to have one LT model in power armor, as it opens up space for real variants like a LT in Terminator Armor, or if/when they refresh bikes, a LT on bike. Edit: Just had a thought, I would expect a Terminator LT to be released when they release Assault Terminators.
Outriders need replacing, the kit is awful to build and not purely because it’s not multipart. At one point I was really hoping they’d do them alongside this recent Deathwing update as I thought they might do Ravenwing too :/
Boy oh boy I'll be annoyed if they get rid of Outriders and ATV's without new kits first. As a White Scar, we just have those 2 mounted units left and 1 mounted char model, now they've got rid of regular bikes, scouts bikes, attack bikes, captain on bike and Khan on bike. Plus they got rid of 4 flavours of speeder. But they oddly made the Stormlance detachment all about mounted units and their enhancements have 2 for mounted characters only. We've all seen the memes - Stormlance is the Space Wolves detachment now.
I can't see GW culling the outrider squadron as a unit, moreso updating the kit. What I can see happening is the Invader ATV kit being replaced. I've seen people make primaris scale attack bikes that look better than the ATV.
Gladius Strikeforce is probably the best White Scars detachment at the minute (at least allowing for an army with a greater mix of unit variety). It's a real shame that a bike-heavy army gets such poor supporting rules.
I know it may not be the same, but i used firstborn to proxy everything. Bikers as outriders, attack bikes as atvs with MMs, robed DA vets as sternguard, inner circle companions and company heroes, tac marines with flamers and plasma as infernus and hellblasters respectively and rebased all my firstborn characters and tweaked their loadouts. Mind you, this was just a 1000 pt list worth, if i had any more DA i would be malding a bit
I use the Fire-Servo turret, he's just there but he's alright, he's a very niche choice honestly. I fully expect it to be retired, but I won't be happy, he's cheap for price and points and he's good for taking out dreadnoughts.
I don't think they'll discontinue anything based on shitty rules tbh - in fact usually something being amazing is more of a sign it's for the chopping block - look at scout sniper squads in 10th, or something like Tycho (who we all know is going anyway) having surprisingly good rules. Plus if all you need to do is make better rules that's a lot cheaper than replacing the model with a new design. So I think ATVs and Outriders are staying with us for now - also the DA upgrade kit comes with some bits for outriders to make em ravenwing. That said based on your logic, if there's a set that's getting canned it's Reivers. They've sucked forever and insofar as I can tell don't really fill any proper role that something else doesn't do better. They have cool helmets and that's it. Also Suppressors. They only exist in a single ETB kit as part of the old combat patrol/vanguard task force. Everything else in there has a multipart kit already.
@@colonelturmeric558 Ha that's exactly what I'm doing with that free deathwing terminator mini of the month. Gonna convert it into a Blood Angels Terminator chaplain.

Outriders are horrible to build (and I have been around since the individual track link Leman russes). I reckon possibly the hardest plastic kit I have built in 20+ years. The hammerfall bunker has seen cometitive use, but with everything else getting a lift in the codex, this has become a lesser option but still valid. ATV has good individual rules especially returning fire if outriders are targeted..... but again better options exist. Firestrike turret... I love the model.... I agree with everything but the tactical warsuit. It's the phobos walker and has the phobos keyword which has some utility with a phobos captain. As for visuals I like it and its cool if you don't. With the upgrade sprues im sure there will be knew ones for the divergent chapters like they did with dark angels and black templars having a larger upgrade sprue. As for the outriders and the ATV, yeah they suck. The outriders I feel should go with hover tech to match the other primaris vehicles and the ATV looks awful in my opinion and doesnt need to exist. nic vid
Reivers, Like Reivers have no place and or play at all, I've seen 3 Invictors Lists with Iron Storm, I've seen outriders in gladius and stormlance, BUT REIVERS ARE A MYTH, they don't exist, every edition they recieve the worst fucking rules and everytime they come off as unplayable. If theres a unit to remove thats them.
I reckon Kayvaan Shrike maybe... he's an awful model, I reckon one of the worst of the early run of Primaris, he leans in to all the most cringe aspects of both the Raven Guard and the early Primaris. Also, he's from that garbage tacticool era that really didn't land for GW and consequently they're going back to a play on the old grimdark style instead. It might just be me, but I think he's easily one of the worst Primaris models and is begging to get cancelled
My two cents: Aggressors no longer serve a purpose now that we have truescale terminators. Likewise, now that we're getting truescale jump pack infantry, Inceptors will probably go out the window too. Death Company will get updated when Blood Angels get their update.
Personally speaking I like Gravis more than standard Primaris and as a Salamander player Aggressors are the backbone of my army. They have an entirely different play style to Termies they are all about mass damage not mass defense
Probably Suppressors considering they are only a part of one combined sprue, and even in that sprue they couldn't be bothered to give 3 unique poses. Unfortunate as I really like them in concept, but I can't purchase them, nor do I want to buy a 3 man squad of only 2 monoposes.
GW need their heads examined for the glaring design oversight that means these monopose kits are so difficult to easily modify with GWs own upgrade sprues (example being the Outriders and trying to add parts from the White Scars upgrade sprue onto them).
