As a raptor fan, I’m all for raptor focus

GW had listen to the fan's to support lesser know chapter who liked lesser know chapters that use familair icons . Raptors it help they are a simple paint job that all SM kits can be used 1st born and prmiaris for being a militery modler desgin . In the past decade GW had focus more on other lesser knower chapters as to move away other SM chapters . CSM had the same pattern but on a smaller scale excluding the popularity of SM chapters.. As some warbands get popular for a time due to book series or a book by the fans then GW support them for a time like rules for some warbands in 9th edition. When it come to some chapters some are not as interesting and so the succesor chapters are more interesting as some of succesor chapters like the crimson fist or etc. GW tried to push some lesser know chapter's but failed while some are popular due to the fan base just liking them .

I see what people are saying about the title but as someone that is newly checking this kit out, tbf, makes sense from a noob stand point, I too was confused as to whether I would need to buy a separate specific box to make the other non regular Dreads or one box had the options for the other two so the title makes sense to me because I did not know so thank you lol as far as the logistics of this goes, it does seem like made it pretty un-kit bashable basically forcing the player to buy multiple boxes pretty lame and I see, again as a noob, why the fans have given GW so much shtick

I’m 50 years old and I had all these plans at the start of the year and basically got everything I needed but unfortunately my Dad fell ill and he passed away in October so life certainly can change in a blink of an eye. Hmm, I have no idea what I'm going to do. I'm building a dark angels army and not a fan of the typical colour scheme, was thinking of doing them as Guardians of the Covenant and having transfer sheet options is a real selling point.. The problem is I'm already collecting chaos for black legion(only black library books I've read, and they have no successor chapters) and my stormcast are black steel armour with gold trim(Anvils of the Heldenhammer) because I was trying to avoid gaudy or typical colour schemes.. I just went from black prime and drybrush steel metallic/black and a bit of black legion in recesses. At this point I'm just gonna have a sea of armies that blend together which I don't think is a good thing.

primaris are overall a hefty downgrade to space marines, they add unnecessary complexity to areas of the space marine for the sake of adding something, an example being the thighs youll see the firstborne have only some line detailing while the primaris added some stupid raised detail thing that makes no sense, is it meant to be armour? some electronic things? if its armour then why does it leave the inside of the thigh completely unprotected, mk3 iron armour did a similar thing but there the armour is actually directed to where the armour is going to be facing, the front. all primaris marines look the exact same and have only 5 poses in their intercessors, theres no variance in the squads every single one has the exact same aquilla with the skull not even just the eagle one, their backpacks are all the exact same with the same ugly circular generator thing added and my most hated detailing on them, the hideous 45 degree angles they decided to add to the helmets and the backpacks, they all look mass produced. there are more issues but this is just rambling. also no the belial redesign is not good, they got rid of multiple things his shins are less detailed with the removal of his angel on his right shin which is replaced with the terminator seargent crux terminatus thing that for some reason they all have to have now, not allowed to have their own thing, it strips away individual identity of chapters and makes them all just be diferent colours of ultramarines, his left shin now instead of a sword just has the spiked from the old deathwing strikemaster, his robes are much more bland with him loosing his embroided dark angels symbol and again his angel symbol getting taken away in favour of replacing almost all of them with a stylised deathwing logo, his shoulder pad that has his chapter logo has also lost its angel with it just having a fancier winged sword, infact the issues on belial that i mentioned, also his relic thing got removed and replaced with that shitty little thing, are present on the new deathwing as a whole the shins got details removed the robes are incredibly bland with no uniqueness bar some acessories, the shields while better to build now range from god awful with the abstract half sword half wing detail to passable with the multiple swords, but will never be as good as the original knights all having angel shields that all had a specific unique detail about them, and they matched their old shoulderpads, they once again feel mass produced instead of what they should be veteran hard to replace warriors. i hate the new direction on the minis, so bland and forgettable, fuck you cawl

Not 1 for tabletop but a big fan of the Lore. Being a Raven Guard fan, this is fine by me! Short of the "Angry Marines" I'm not into the "Circus" aspect of other Chapters colors. I'll stick w/ drab (Vanilla) markings. As for GW's pitch...¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ Many thanx for the vid. 👍👍

I generally like primaris, i like the proportions a lot more, but man do the helmets suck. Also they all look generic now

I'm a big fan of the raptors look. I always thought it was weird their wasn't a chapter that took more of a traditional military style, with pouches and stuff. Knights and armor are cool too but I don't want every chapter too look like that, we have a lot of Grey Knights, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels already.

Willing it into existence. Salamanders (generic marines with maybe a character and chapter upgrade sprue) vs Iron Warriors (generic chaos with a Warsmith and upgrade sprue) to set up Vulkan and Perty big releases.

Either someone in GW just likes the green/military style, or it's because the Raptors fit in nice with the starcraftian vibe of the modern *spits* primaris.

I sold off all of my post-2017 lot and have been collecting 2004-2009 kits. I have also decided to stick with 4th Edition as a rules set.

Personally I love the more military vibe type thing.

I hate the jump assault tac rocks. Just put a plastic peg Attached to the foot that goes into the base. That’s it. They can look like they’re running or jumping of floating without looking like they’re tripping over

I've started using the Horus Heresy models in my Space Marine Army because I prefer First Born Aesthetic and like 90% of my Army is First Born. I hope we might get a true Tactical Squad for Primaris Tactical Squad

Could be an attempt to compete with Anvil, they've made tacticool black ops type true marine scale models for a while, maybe GW is trying to force the proxies out with the offical range, wouldn't be the first time

Some products have gotten notably more expensive in just 3-4 years. One example is the chaos spawns, they have increased the price about 50% in less than 4 years.

I played 40k back in the 90s. I didn’t realise how much bigger all the models are now! The Avatar model is insane!

My pile of potential keeps me motivated, there's always something handy to build/paint and I do tend to flit between tasks. 🤘🏻
