Why is the bird running into a piece of ruble? Is this a snap shot taken mere milliseconds before it clips its wing completly and slams into the floor?
Glad to have you back Podger. I think expectations for a new Coteaz much have been really high so this sculpt is really underwhelming. I think that they could have gone a bit more grandiose. And I really wish they had done a 'build-your-own-Inquisitor' muli-part kit with all of the weapon, armour and side-kick options available. Cool that they're giving scope for the 3 main Ordos and that there's enough troop kits now to do them justice. Anyways, I think that [redacted] is just them alluding to the number of Space Marines in the galaxy being a secret/unknowable (compared to the billions of Imperial Guard soldiers). We shall see...
They didn’t even need to go over the top with the model design the original design was perfect they should’ve gone for a very thematic action pose & used the codex art as the model design instead they used a copy & pasted heroic pose that we’ve seen hundreds of times with the weapon down standing on a rock it’s just an awful sculpt & looks like a entirely new character
@@Hahaha-yt2id true - and they have been using old artwork for inspiration recently. That Paul Dainton painting is amazing, even if a mid-action pose isn't always my favourite for named character minis. I feel bad for the sculptor if they're seeing all of this negative reaction

It look likes a fan made codex. It's only a rearrange miniatures grouped in a new codex. At least they should have bring a new illustration for the Imperial Agents, but they used the old classic one from back 2004.
That model will not look good even if you looked into the sun for 5mins then looked at this. They could have copied the codex art work and everyone would have loved it
I tried to buy the old online-only Coteaz mini on the GW site soon after the new one was announced, the system kept failing due to lack of stock during purchase and then it got marked as Sold Out a few hours later... sigh, such a good looking model. The battleforce boxes are a bit interesting since I want that Inquisition kill team but they're a bit anaemic, hopefully cheaper than normal (hah!)
Normally people complain about minis having too much detail, while coteaz is on the other side of the spectrum. It has too LITTLE detail. From halfway down the mini has basically nothing going on for it. There's nothing eye catching or interesting in the bottom half. Just another awful part of the sculpt
@@ChristopherFreitas-l9e Some people just don't have the time to paint so much detail. That's why space marines are popular. They're fast and easy to paint
The Deathwatch kit is peak Space Marine glory. They already knew about Primaris coming during the design process and scaled them up just a bit. I also love that the Deathwatch are now nack as Killteams in a diverce Chamber Militant of the Ordo Xenos and not a standalone army. All like originally intended.
I was hoping for more than just one new model. Specifically I wanted a new jokearo. Seeing as the old resin one is now gone, and the Inquisition kind of needs a techy orangutan to keep things running.
Had the mini been in resin we could've gotten a new sculpt being in plastic. Ain't happening at least for a very long time as those molds very expensive compared to the resin ones.
I was actualy looking forward to this whole release b/c I love the idea of Imperial Soup (Inquisitors/Rogue Traders/Navy/Guard/Sisters/Arbites/Astartes). The sculpt on Coteaz is meh - feels like the sculptor should've toned down the chonky legs b/c Coteaz is tooo thicccc

this definitely feels like a suit saw that there are a ton of imperial models that don't have a gameplay use in main 40k and said "yeah just stick em together and boom, new army = dolla dolla bills"
Not that I’m interested much in 40K anymore, but trying to generate hype for half a year on a redacted codex is crazy. It’s one new mini and 3 FOMO battleforces with old minis in.
this is the first time in a while gw removed deatils from a model... and its on an inquisitor. like why? he looks like a man baby, he is litteraly just flat gold on blank panels, it looks like something a 12 year old would sculpt.
I wish they'd stop putting 40K models in this weird, ugly AoS style armour. There's nothing wrong with a bit of scifi/military feel, and the grimdark look I think they're going for by using these AoS design nods really doesn't work, they're far too clean and cartoonish for a start.
This is the same company that gave us that amazing inquisitor model 3 years ago the store anniversary one either they’re using ai on new 40k models or the interns are all working on 40k coz none of their other game systems are getting such low effort bland models I mean the custodes leader was horrible the battle sister leader was horrible now this doesn’t even look like the same character the proportions are awful & the lack of standout design or silhouette is a real problem
Remind you that we still dont have new Primaris Cato Sicarius. as Assault terminators But we have kroots and a lot of stuff for AOS 4. Time to embrace truth - 40k team hates 40k and love aos.
The whole agents concept is dead in the water. It is just somewhere to put projects that have no other home. The new model is a huge miss and for me is an indication as to how important GW think this is. This is the end of Deathwatch which is a shame, they're only here to add some bulk to an army that doesn't really have any depth. Nobody will play them as a dedicated faction, few will add them in (other than points fill) so their rules will just be an afterthought. Can you reasonably build a dedicated 2000 point army here - no. I'd bet on it not making it into 11th and most of these models being in low production so they just get phased out. Perfect for smaller games - but that's about it.
It's very underwhelming. Honestly it feels more like a "get by" Codex. It's there, and it finally gives a bunch of kits a proper home, but... well. It's just sorta there. I mean, they could at least have given us one or two of the new Assassin types!
Have to wait and see but atm this codex screams "creative doesnt know what to do with these factions" The new Coatez was likely because management accidently put AoS instead of 40k in the email requesting a new design, its the only way I can think of that explains why he looks like a Stormcast with purity seals happazardly mashed on lol 😂
R.I.P. Deathwatch, now only fieldable using Codex space Marines. So basically we have to use the generic (I.E. Shitty) Space Marine Codex and just pretend they are DW What a shame :(
Considering that 10th detachments can have rules that are literally ONE line of rules, both a possible game dev upside and downside, the Ordo Xenos detachment could just grant DW vets battleline and tell you to go nuts. Load of old minis plus a Coteaz downgrade.
They should have just made the bird perched on that piece of metal, instead of crashing into it
Agreed, the proportions are crazy too. The purity seals are as big as the models face, and the strap is giant!
