@@Luke-cu7bf The rule is based on whether or not an umpire's call is appealed, and basically breaks down like this:
      1. An umpire can ask his fellow umpires for help on an appealed call, but does not have to. No umpires can give their input on a call unless they're asked to.
      2. If the call is overturned, the umpire(s) determine, to the best of their ability, how the play would've gone if the "correct" call was made to begin with.
      3. Appeals cannot be argued or disputed against. Doing so is an automatic ejection.

@@jasonbradham1172 no.. what is horrible is stupid parents thinking their child is going to make it somewhere some day. What it horrible is the way umpires get treated for bang bang plays. Just because the call doesn't go your way doesn't mean the call is wrong. I also highly doubt majority of people have a fucking clue what is written in the rule books. I highly doubt yourself know even half the rules. What is horrible is teenage umpires being yelled at during an 8 year old game. What is horrible is a bunch of over paid babies complaining and crying over a game. What is horrible is complaining about one call an umpire may have missed yet an umpire can't scream and yell and laugh at a player or coach for making errors. Umpires who make nearly 300 ball/ strike calls a game. Umpires who make dozens of calls on the bases. Yet a player who has 2 plays to make and misses one of the 2.. doesn't get the same critique. Stop your bullshit.

So should there be an ability to look at the play to see if it’s reviewable? Like if there’s a question as to if you can review it or not, you do and if in the reviewing the okay you realize you can’t (like being in the infield or a foul tip ect) then it’s waved off. Kinda like how nfl refs should let play continue if it seems like a fumble or if it wasn’t down

As an umpire for the last 7 years I hate what MLB umpires are doing for the rest of us. Most umpires especially for young kids are good, but the MLB umps are soo bad and do bad things. I have been in situations where I should have ejected someone but didn't. They need to realize that sometimes the managers come out to "argue" just to show that they are supporting and backing up their players. They need to stop taking things so personally. The way they react makes people dislike umpires more and more, I personally get harassed by parents, players, and coaches all the time and some of them use MLB umps and what they do and how those managers react as an excuse for how horrible they are to me and my coworkers.

I’m a huge Yankee fan from a HUGE Yankee family. None of us thought that ejection was warranted. We all thought it was problematic at best and a great example of the horrific umpire ego at worst

I am posting this a year and a half after the fact, and I am STILL livid at the umpiring crew's actions that night....no way in hell they eject a Yankees' pitcher in that situation, if the roles were reversed....they turned that thing into such an unnecessary cluster!

I don’t get the runner knocking the ball out of the first baseman’s glove. That’s ridiculous. It’s not intentional, but nonetheless you can’t interfere with the fielder intentionally or otherwise. Not to mention that he has it clearly in his glove.
