    So Tampa Bay has stadium sound effects for a baulk (22:25), a manager/umpire fight (22:47), AND an ejection (23:16)? That ballpark is crushing it.

    Rendon at 5:30 literally doesn't say a word to the umpire and gets ejected. The only thing I can guess, other than the umpire just being a jerk, is that he told Rendon to pick up his bat and just stood there instead.

      correct me if I'm wrong, but you can flip your bat, right? because Rendon didn't slam his bat, he flipped it.

    I don't know why MLB doesn't start looking at their umpires and how quickly they throw people out of games. Many times the umpire gets the call dead wrong too. Lots of time the ump throws the batter when the guy is walking back to the dugout which to me is a chickenshit move.

    I think with the placement of the electronic score board they should implement a electronic ball and strike board. These umpires evidently can't see the actual strike zone or they are being paid to look the other way on certain players. They got rid of the score changers now I think it is time to give the umpires a second set of eyes. Then there won't be as many ejections on ball and strikes.

    18:55 the 2nd base umpire not even looking and told Frazier you out the baseline. Bad called! And Bad Umpire!

    • @nateward9592
      @nateward9592 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At the beginning of the play it looks like he’s already out of the baseline on his lead off. Tim Timmons, the second base umpire, most likely saw it when he first started running. But, he did the right thing, banked it (put it in the back of his mind) turned and watched the activity at first until the play ended. Alot of times it’s proper to let things finish in case something else happens. Then assess everything. So, at this point, with ball still in play, we have two umpires focused on first, two on third.
      Now, as that’s happening, the ball gets to the third baseman. Frazier cuts back in the running lane, and steps out again to avoid the tag, that’s when 3B umpire Mike Winters gives his signal that he was out of the line. As he does so, Timmons is turning around and making his signal at the same time, making it appear as though he had turned around and randomly called it out of the blue, when really Frazier went out of the baseline twice. Complicated, but everything was right.

      @@nateward9592, I thought that the third base umpire was signalling an avoided tag, while the second base umpire signalled the "out of baseline" call (which would overrule the avoided tag).
