    Love your videos! Never thought much about tinnitus but after taking an online hearing test with noise cancelling headphone I heard a decent amount of ringing in my ears. I'm going to Costco in 2 weeks and was thinking of getting the Jabra Pro 20 based on your recommendation. My last hearing test at an audiologist office 9 most ago was left ear 50db and right 35 db. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Hi Brian- I love your channel! I got Rexton hearing aids in May @ Costco. How does their size compare to the new mini Jabras? Is it worth trying the Jabras since I am still within my 6 month trial? Only issue I have with the Rextons is blue tooth connection not the best and people have a hard time hearing me in noisy environments on phone calls.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm actually going to be talking about the far away thing in another video. If you have an iPhone, it's probably setup for hands free, if that's the case, it's using the hearing aid mic for the phone calls and it's far away from.your mouth. If this is the case, turn off the hearing aid mic and use the phones normal mic. It's in the secret iPhone triple click menu. As far as trying a different aid, it depends. If the rextons cause you enough grief, yes, exhcnage them for something else. Right now, they are not my favorite.

    Tomorrow I am going to Cosco to pick up my 3 year old Phonak hearing aids. I dropped them off 3 weeks ago and left them to be sent to the factory for refurbishing. My warranty period ends in March 2024. I have been having a lot of trouble over the last 8 months with background noise and went in to the store to discuss my dilemma. Thats when the salesperson suggested sending them back. Since then, I have been doing a lot of research and feel that ITC hearing aids might be better in the sense of sound entering my ear canal directly as opposed to microphones behind the ears which bring in all the background noise. Thoughts? Also, I asked the salesperson if there has been an update in technology in the last three years which would help my predicament, especially since Cosco no longer sells the Phonaks. His immediately replied no. Again, I would be interested in your thoughts. Thanks! BobR

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      whether you have a microphone on the back of your ear (RIC) or a mic on the side of your ear (ITC) all the same sound will go through the mic. There would be no difference between the 2, unless Im misunderstanding what you are saying. And yes there have been updates in technology. i suggest you setup an appt, get a new hearing test and demo the hearing aids. If the new hearing aids yield a $1,600 benefit, pull the trigger!

    Keep in mind, Costco doesn't sell the Jabra Enhance Select 100 or 200. They sell the Jabra Enhance Pro 10. These are not the same.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You are correct. The selects are the lower technology levels. The enhance pro 10 is the premium technology level. Did you have a question about these or just stating something I already know?

      Hey, nice catch! You have an eye for detail. Honestly, in all of the Hearing aids practices I have worked at, for the last 5 or 6 years, nobody has used it, asked about it and to be honest, some of the fitters I have worked with didn't even know what it was for or how to set it up lol. That's why I didn't mention it, but yes, you are absolutely correct! I'll have to add this to the description of the video for all the folks like you paying extra attention.

    Sir, I watch your videos. They are great and informative. I was in Costco’s in Norfolk, Va this Saturday. I was looking at their hearing aids, then another customer walked up and talked to me about Beltone hearing aids. She said Beltone will price match the Costco heading aids. I listened to her and said I’d call Beltone, on Monday, and ask same question. So I called Beltone store and asked if they’d price match Costco hearing aids. Beltone rep said Yes. Beltone will sell their ACHIEVE 9 style hearing aid to match Costco. So, what do you think of the Beltone Achieve 9 hearing aids ? The Beltone rep did not quote me a price. Thank you
    George Kocher

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The achieve 9 is the middle level of technology. NOT quite as good as the achieve 17 or (jabra enhance pro) The Jabra enhance pro is the highest technology level aid that GN makes. If you bought the achieve 9 for the same price as the jabra enhance pro, it just wouldn't make sense. You are paying 1600.00 for a lesser hearing aid. Amd I doubt they would give you a 3yr warranty, unlimited free supplies, free 2 yr replacement policy and 6 month trial period. Just my 2 cents. There is literally no reason to go to beltone in my opinion, and I worked there for many years. But, if you like the beltone name for some reason, go for it! I'm sure you would still be very successful with the achieve 9. Just be careful amd ask questions. They will Nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING.

    I don’t want to be negative but no matter how handy a hearing aid could be along with all it’s accessoireses fot it, but i just don’t see the coolness of it, to me it’s just ludicrous to realize that even peoples within their 20th,30th,40th age or even below their 20th age need to wear a hearing aid, to me a hearing aid should only belong to senoir people with their 70th age, how could and should this be accepted by younger peoples? It felt more like living with a handicap, am mean what if rollchairs will become more personal and to be hot items as well some day?
    I hate to say it but for 23 years i did hear everything perfect untill i lost 30db hearing loss and later i lost another 23db hearing loss thus in totall 53db in the last 7 years???
    I don’t know but it FRUSTRATES me that i have to live for now on with hearing aids and whether they will serve me well, and whether they are cheap and power efficient or not, i just freaking HATE to have to deal with another handicap, as if it wasn’t already bad enough for me to have to deal with half blindness,learning and concentration issues and pddnos, and losing part of my hearing capability since i am now 42 years old just takes the cake, it will make me believe to become more less acceptible in this society then ever before, i just really hope that stemcells will make hearing aids obsolete some day sothat it will truelly reveave your ears rather then only support year ears🥲🥲🥲
