Vega VDC irons, I have hit all of the ones you guys tested which love what you guys do but the Vega VDC is the best iron I have ever hit for me. I got lucky and found a set way cheaper than buying new and the specs were exactly what I needed wasn't for that I may never have had a set. Keep up the great reviews.
Good job including the Wilson because Wilson irons often get overlooked and they are phenominal! Forgiving, workable, great feel and looks. Price is great also!
Enjoyed watching the commentary and banter! Happy the ZX5's came in top two as I got them last summer! I would certainly look at the cally apex blended or TM P790/770 set today
What do you guys think of the Cobra Forge Tec irons. I demoed them and they felt pretty darn good. I have been using the Callaway Apex 16s then the 19s. Thinking of getting a little more distance as I get older.
Tough choices. Great video gentleman 👏 I play zx5 here in Bham Al. Elevated greens at my club. I need distance control to not roll down that hill of shame 😂missed green again!
Aloha Guys We locals play a lot of golf here. The Club I belong to, plays every Saturday as well as other clubs. Great weather all year long to play. My current gamer is a JPX 923 HM. I’m thinking of getting JPX 923 Forged . 🤙🏽
The tall guys swing is soooooo much better then even 5 months ago. It’s a fluid motion now instead of the swing and then pivot onto toe which was hard to watch. Much better and awesome to see the improvement
I'm fairly new to golf at ~18 handicap and have been playing the PXG Gen 5's for the last year. Looking to get into the Titleist T200 or P790 as I love the look of them but gotta get fitted to see which one works best for me. I'm not a huge fan of bulky irons, hence leaning away from game improvements. Been waiting for this video!
I’m a 19 handicap and I got fitted for the t200s but went with p790s because I saved over $500 via taylormade reward points. I think shaft is extremely important. I got fit for dynamic gold x100s x stiff and I’m absolutely in love with the p790s. Had them for about 2mos now. I maybe would’ve gone t200d if same price but the $500 saved swung me towards taylormade.
@@TonyDo I definitely would make sure you’re hitting more good contact 7 irons than shanks. If you are shanking a lot of shots it’ll be hard for them to fit you. I think for us a p790,t200,t350 combo is ideal it just depend on shaft fitting from there. I paid $100 for driver and irons so it was worth it for me.
I love these reviews, too. You're honest and (I don't think) driven by any agenda. Mileage may vary, horses for courses, etc- I'm sure most get that. And they are all good. And most of us could buy the 5th "best" for us and still be in hog heaven, I'd wager.
What a great video. All clubs such high performers and no clear standouts. Leaning Gen 7 here, but likely biased because iof military discount. As a 16 hcp, any club would be a reat club to work with including the game improvement category (Black Ops) Keep the great vids comiing.

When I was club shopping earlier this summer I hit a lot of different brands/models. I hit the P790’s pretty well, but the clicky sound/feel turned me off. I ended up with JPX923 Tours as I can live without the little extra distance and gapping issues.
Day 2 of asking for a review Single Length Irons compared to normal irons. I trust yall the most and wanna see how single lenth irons do for you both. Maybe some Forge Tec One Length vs standard Forge Tec One Lenth

Mizuno makes great irons, the Hot Metal line up is really good but the 923 lineup is super good as well in the Forged and Tour head. Thanks for watching and sharing Robbie and Todd
Distance gain is primarily just a function of stronger lofts. The magic is tragectory related to head weighting and a larger face accomodating miss-hits with inserts distributing the weight. Personally, after hitting a lot of imrovement irons, distance was not significantly different. For me, the feel of a forged face and the appearance was a determinging factor. Did I mention cost? Yea, I'm that tightwad that is reluctant to spend more money for the same performance for the big name player endorsed products. Have yet to find an improvement iron that produced better results than my Cleveland clubs I got for $600 bucks and a nice back to boot. But I am looking at Srixon and Mizuno this year, just not sure why
I rank these as 1/2 tie p790s/T200 3/4 tie mizuno/callaway, never hit the srizon but don’t like the look. Would never pay for PXG hate the look. Ping makes players distance or no? I think ping makes great stuff.
They do, the i530 would be in this category. But they told us if we wanted them to go buy them at Golf Galaxy so unfortunately they didn’t make the video. Couldn’t buy a full set at full price for this video 🤷🏽♂️
Mizuno owns this category. Best looking, feeling, and has so much forgiveness in a look that will appeal to better players. Shocked the clubs put above this 🤷♂️

ZX5 Mk II 2. Gen7 P 3. 245 4. T200 5. Dynapower Forged 6. P790 7. Ai200 The Ai200 is just an ugly shape. Way too much offset. Too thick a top line. @@mitchy7051 I love the T200s at address but don’t like the back badging. Also just don’t think they’re a ton more forgiving than T150s, which look and feel better. You’re totally right about 245s - they look AWESOME in terms of bag appeal! I like the Hot Metal Pros a lot. My only problem with them is the strong lofts - I tend to deloft too much and struggle to get the HMPs to launch and spin high enough, even bent weak. I know you can ignore what’s written on the bottom of the club and just focus on gapping - but I’d rather have tighter gaps at the short end of my bag, instead of jumping from the HMP’s 42 degree PW to 48 degree GW, for example. I’m playing P770s for this reason - they’re more traditionally lofted but unlike a traditional players’ cavity back, they still launch really high and are super forgiving. I’m also a big fan of similar stuff like the i230s, Cobra King Tours, and to a lesser extend the Apex Pros. The Apex Ti Fusions are great as long as they’re bent weak to eliminate a little bit of that offset.
