    Amazing video! Could you make a tutorial on how to create the planetary maps because they look fantastic!

      He's selling a pack for it. He won't make a tutorial or he will lose his sales.

    If you want your planet to look like the thumbnail planet, you can duplicate the cloud layer & turn it to emissive

    Maybe I am wrong, but I know it wasn’t mentioned in the Tutorial. Wouldn’t you want to change your Roughness and Normal on the Surface object to “Non-Color”, as well as do the same on the “Cloud Material?” Since those types up maps are usually B/W images?

    which version of Blender did you use? Also, please display short cut keys for all of us not familiar with blender... perhaps even go a bit slower... cheers

    the whole atmosphere section does not work for me, just does not come out the same. as soon as i flip the color ramp right end, the atmosphere just vanishes

    Great tutorial, man! Thank you.
    Can you make a tutorial in blender on how to make a photorealistic low-orbit planet with displaced clouds? Like on your reference. Or it's not possible in blender?

      @@THEOexr Very nice and helpful tutorial! Making such a tutorial would be really awesome indeed! I haven't yet found a tutorial on youtube that does that. I have subscribed to your channel

    Anyone know how to make the surface material seamless? I get distortion at the top and bottom of the sphere & a bad seam line all the way around the middle. I'm using the texture pack that THEO is using, but not getting the same results using Sphere projection on the material. It's quite stretched.

    • @jayhawk184
      @jayhawk184 ปีที่แล้ว

      try this apply the scale to the sphere and then go edit mode select all with "A" then press "U" to unwrap choose spherical projection.

    Hi, great video. Thanks. But how to create our own equirectangular texture maps? Do you do it directly inside blender procedurally and then export the map? If so, how can we export it?

    • @uesleimenezes9489
      @uesleimenezes9489 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe you want to create your own textures without having to download them from the internet, correct? If so, I believe you can do it in software like Photoshop, then export and use it as he did in the video. If you've found another way, I'll be happy if you'd like to share it with us.

    When I put the Principied volume node the atmosphere looks cubic?

    • @I_am_Spartacus
      @I_am_Spartacus ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thats because you were in Material mode for viewing... if you switched to render mode, it'll look just fine... but I'm sure you've worked that out by now ;)

    why when I turn on the atmosphere layer I don't see the layer surface?

  • @metamesh1
    @metamesh1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't get why we are separating those x,y,z when creating the atmosphere layer, anyone care to explain why we are doing that? I tried only with the principled volume shader with no fancy stuff and looks the same...

      1. Learn how to use blender. 2. Get a better computer if you want to get into making realistic planets.

    Please do NOT use anything but sun lamps in rendering these, no other lights provide realistic sun lighting. The area light especially creates a weird square light falloff on spheres

  • @gentrywalker
    @gentrywalker ปีที่แล้ว

    adding a black handle to right of the white one changes absolutely nothing about the falloff for me.
