My G48 (all black): Shield Arms S15 magazines (gen 2) Shield Arms aluminum magazine-release AmeriGlo tritium night sights (orange front post/blacked out rear) Talon "Pro" rubber grips Ghost 3.5# connector bar Holsters: Concealment Express Carbon Fiber IWB, Raven Concealment Systems "Perun" OWB and 1791 Gun Leather OWB Just ordered a Vickers "extended slide stop/release" from Wilson Combat because I am an old 1911A1 Marine and releasing the slide that way is how I roll. My local gun shop (Bartlesville Shooting Supply, Bartlesville, OK) had the AmeriGlo sights in stock and installed them. I "very "lightly" sanded the left side of the Talon Grips to eliminate chaffing my skin carrying IWB on hot, sweaty days when I just wear a very light t-shirt.
Just picked one up. The only upgrades so far are talon grips and Ameriglo night sights. Waiting on Shield Arms to get these back in stock. I always polish my internals (slide and lower) to a mirror finish, and make sure it’s properly lined prior to taking my first 200+ rounds. Love this pistol! Nothing wrong with OEM triggers, as long as you polish the internals.
All great choices on upgrades , you have to love Glock . And yes I have G48 and have made all the same upgrades except Ameriglo sights . Accuracy and reliability is all here in smaller package. K

I have a Glock 19 and a Glock 43X. I replaced the standard sights with Ameriglo i-dot sights on the 43X and find them exceptional. I also replaced the trigger with the Overwatch Precision PolyDAT duty ready trigger, which I also love. I installed a Ghost Connector too. Finally, I now use the Shield Arms S15 mags (700 rounds without issue) with the 43X, giving me 15 plus 1 in a really good EDC option.
Just make sure when you buy the metal mags to also buy the aluminum mag release and switch it out with the oem . The metal 15 round mags will wear out the polymer mag release after a while and cause your mags to stop locking in place
Sweet. I'm going to upgrade to a Glock 48 from the original Shield. On my smaller Glock 43 I think you're referring to the drop safety on the trigger being sharp. I just make it a little smoother with some sandpaper and it seems to work great. Doesn't take much. YMMV.
Glock is a project gun, haters are simply ignorant. You purchase a super reliable firearm that you can design to your needs. If you don't like it then go purchase a P365XL, that's the best bang for the buck, no pun intended.
I bought 3 of the SA15 mags and they all rattle after loading past the 10th position. I’d rather stick with stock mags because they are reliable, snug, drop free, and most of all they don’t rattle!! Stick with stock mags. For $40 the SA15 isn’t worth it.
Reading experiences like yours keeps me from getting the s15. If it was normal times I'd function check it at the range before carrying but its not normal times so I guess I'm sticking with the stock mags for now. Be silly to carry a glock with an Achilles heel.

Great vid.. went with the 43x because I felt the 48 didn’t fit my needs because I have a 19 (possibly my favorite pistol).
