I don’t think I’ll buy another Glock because Glock has just gotten everyone in the habit of adding a zillion dollars on accessories to bring their product up to snuff . You have to add , add , add . Glock has had 5 generations to just bring the grip texture up to grade . But no ! You still have to have it stippled or put grip tape or talon grips on. They still have plastic sights too . You have to undercut the trigger housing after 5 generations . Nothings changed . They go from no finger grooves to finger grooves and back again . Glocks a great gun if you change everything , UGH ... The only way to get a better trigger is to buy a new one . Hate to be a Glock Basher . But can’t help it . The only thing Glock has going for it is aftermarket parts market and holsters . You shouldn’t have to rebuild a gun after making a purchase .

this is what turned me off of a Glock and made me land on an M&P Shield when buying. The tradeoff imo is: one's a brand name gucci gun template and the other's a practical more affordable option out of the box

Agreed. I still just can't help but go back to Glocks though because that's just what I shoot better. I tried the popular guns from other brands and they're great. Those have better triggers, slide serrations, grip texture, sights and so forth. I'm just not as accurate and my groupings aren't as tight as I can get them with my Glocks 😭 it sucks because at that point you're going to have to shell out extra money on parts to make the Glock better.

Glocks are like Honda civics in the car community. With the right parts they can perform excellent but from factory it’s just basic.

You sound like your high maintenance. Does your husband know you chat regularly on a guη channel? One does NOT have to change anything on a Glock…. I have never seen a gun brand that all their loyal followers make so many changes to and call it perfection almost everyone I know changes at least sights and trigger. Most do something with the grip texture. The more involved ones get cuts done under the trigger guard for better grips(those great ergonomics) and others replace the slide and barrel and all that is left is the lower and everything else is aftermarket yup glock perfection.

Yes you do. You can get one from CHPWS for $45.00. I got mine from Boresight Solutions with free shipping. You can also send your slide to CHPWS and the will direct mill the optic for $75.00.

My M&P 2.0 5” ported barrel Performance Center with optic cut came with 7 plates for different optics. The Holosun and Trigicon use the same plate. Basically a thin plastic spacer. Not sure what comes with the 4” Shield Plus. S&W website doesn’t indicate what comes with it other than a Crimson Trace red dot.

A slim pistol is for daily concealed carry. Thats the point of being compact. Why put a red dot on your daily carry gun?
Why not put a red dot on a 4.5"+ barrel? Kinda a gimmick if you ask me.

I've shot several Glocks. There okay. But in my humble opinion. There butt ugly 😂 Aside from that. The real deal killer is they have no manual safety. Just purchased a M&P plus. With safety of course. One feature I really like. The slide can be racked with the safety on. So no need to take the safety off unless you want to fire the gun. The other big selling point. It's almost impossible to find someone on the net that doesn't like their Shield. Weather it a original or 2.0 or plus. They are solid well made guns.!

can you come up with a better way? So your $200 taurus or hipoint is the best because you say so? Money talks and bullshit walks. Glock outsells all of them. Keep trolling. Just because your manbun soyboy friends think cz is the best doesn;t make it so. They're too heavy and the p10 have firing pin problems. Sigs aren't drop safe. Walthers have too much muzzle flip. Berettas are too heavy. Sales say glock is the best. Eat it Timmy!😆
PLUS: name a brand that is more reliable than glock and I'll take you seriously, until then you're talking out of your ass. Google it. Glock has the least amount of problems and the least amount of moving parts, most readily available, cheapest and most available magazines, conversion barrels galore, after market support...so on. The g19,g17 and the g21 are the benchmark of what other guns are compared to.

Glocks are made the way they ate because of the licensing deals they have with all of these manufactures. They are a terrible deal for the money and live off of people who still think Glocks are by far the most reliable pistols even tho they have lost stress tests to other comparably priced models
