just got mine Saturday. went from a 98 gmc Sierra to a 2015 mustang and I couldn't be happier. still love my gmc Sierra
I love my 2016 V6! The 300 hp for Los Angeles is way more than enough especially with traffic coming in hard. Took me a week to get used to the overall feel of the car because it is quite bigger than my previous cars. However, most of my love for the car could be that it is my first NEW car but everything on it is way more than I could have looked for. Beautiful ride but definitely upgrading the wheels/rims and doing a few simple mods.

I would rather have the V6. It has plenty of power for me and handling is more important to me than huge power. With less weight up front the V6 should be more fun to drive on twisty, winding roads than the V8. It's a damn shame that Ford is discouraging the purchase of the V6 by intentionally limiting the available options. I would buy the V6 and then look for wrecked V8's and buy the leather seats and fog lights etc. from a wrecking yard.
It's a shame that Ford doesn't offer the premium option on the V6 anymore because I'm in full agreement with you!

Don’t need a v8 the v6 will still be an upgrade from my 02 GT, what am I gonna do with the 4000 rpms and constant drone I’m not using w the v8? Just to lug around a mountain of weight and basically dump gas straight out the engine for nada.
I wanna use more powerband and rev it out! BRZ for example is so fun.
Just got a silver 2016 v6, added the wheels/fog lamps upgrade and I do have to say I'm pretty impressed on the looks and how well the car handles...definitely best bang for the buck on this one

ricardo mercado sup brother, I just got me a v6 few months ago. I just wanted to ask you something. where did you get your new wheels, and lights installed at? how much was it?
There is no 2016 V6 only V8 or Eco
Only thing I hate is the wheels.
I had them powder-coated on my Oxford white Mustang to a low-gloss black for about $100 each--big difference. I don't know why car manufacturers put silver or chrome wheels on the base trim level of their vehicles? Doesn't take anymore money to paint them black. I also had the roof and the rear valence painted black.
I'm getting a V6. First mod will be to paint the lower rear valance. Cheap mod and will look great. Better than the premium I think. Not a fan of the colored diffuser.

I was planning on getting a '16 2.0L 4cyl.Camaro for my wife as a daily driver but got tired waiting for them to come out so we bought a Comp orange '16 like in this video about a month ago and she loves it. We got it for $24k. We liked the last gen headlights better also. Also wish the fuel filler panel was in the rear center like before but not a big deal. We would of paid more for some options like a GPS and leather seats but like you said, not given that choice with the v6. Always owed Camaro's, Firebirds and Vettes. Our 1st ford "muscle car" but love it so far.
I'm glad you are enjoying it! It's a great car! A premium option for the V6 would have gone a long way though. I've talked to multiple owners that wish it was an availability.

I really do not like the new designs, the previous design from like 2014 was perfect. it took the original 65 mustang look and made it more modern. I hope they try to stick with those designs and scrap the 2016.
Give it a year or two and I think they'll really have a proper design nailed down for the new Mustang. I agree that the 2013-2014 looked better than this new one (I own a 2013 so I may be slightly bias) but they do take more from the classics than the new one's do which I do love like you do. My only real complaint is the front end on the new models, too much Fusion, not enough Mustang.
+HeyThisIsGraham yeah, the point of owning a car like the mustang, camaro, charger, and challenger is for it to be a muscle car. when you take a muscle car and make it look like a sedan or something it's not meant to be. it's kind of pointless. I love challengers because there are a lot of similarities with the new ones and the 1970s
The challenger is by far the most classic-muscle of the three muscle cars but, despite the looks, the new Mustang really is an epic car. It's amazing how much the quality and performance has improved over the last 5 to 6 years.
Do you still have this car? I want to get a v6 mustang sometime within the next 2 years. Wondering your opinion.

The 0-60 is 5.3 seconds, not 5.9.

+NEXT I'd have to have perfect conditions. The fastest i've gotten was 5.5. I think that's close enough considering it was 65F

+HeyThisIsGraham Does the lack of the 3.7 V6 in Europe reflect penalties for displacements over a certain level? I note BMW is typical in getting rid of large V8s for twin-turbo inline 6s. The 2.3 ecoboost 'Stang seems made for the world market - indeed, is marketed globally - but the V6 is still the best bet for North America and gives the best bang for the buck.

+Ramzi Gaming If it's in your budget there aren't very many new cars (if any) cars that are better for the price! Look for a used one with very low miles and you'll be able to get an amazing deal on one of these things! It's powerful, fun, well equipped, and efficient. You can't go wrong. If you have no driving experience however it could be difficult to learn on as the visibility is very limited and it takes a lot of adjustment to learn the dimensions of the car. The front end is very long and not visible from the drivers seat. Something different may be better to learn on if you still need to learn to drive.

Is it hard to control? Heard stories of the car handling traction being poor for example trying to go fast the the wheels spin like crazy
I have to choose between this or a fully loaded 3.8 genesis coupe... What do you recommend?
probably the mustang. although you might get a lot of insults for having a v6 mustang...either way the mustang is just better looking and its cheaper
+amouralizee yeah never mind, found my self a new infiniti q50 3.7 just a tiny bit more expensive than the v6 Mustang!
+amouralizee I may be a bit bias because I own a 2013 Mustang but I would say to go for the Mustang. It's newer, cheaper, has plenty of standard options, and is better looking and performs on par with the Genesis. Plus you'll have more aftermarket options for modifications with the Mustang.

+amouralizee yeah I know it just seems weird but I was lucky enough to find the q50 for around the same price, plus, the Mustang in my country is overpriced even with the v6

2015 mustang is a FAIL to me. Why I bought a 2014 I didn't necessarily need at end of the model year. 2015 has too many electronic doodads and they lowered the roof too much IMHO. NO thank you. Happy with my 1965, 2007 and 2014 models I currently own. Would never buy another newer one. Actually the 2007 body was PERFECTLY designed. Front end reminds me of 1967 mustang and rear end reminds me of a 1969 mustang. Ford hit the ball out of the park on 2007 mustang body.
