My family has a bunch of mustangs (collect) including an S550 ecoboost, that ecoboost is such a great car to daily. It's got unbelievable power and torque, barely any turbo lag, and once you're accelerated the car keeps speed very well off throttle. Also handles great on Minnesota snow/ice even with all season tires - just make sure you throw it into Snow/Wet mode. The other mustangs are: 97 Cobra SVT Convertible, 07 Shelby GT350, 09 Roush P51-b, 13 Boss 302. I love the V8's, but that 2.3 ecoboost holds its own and is faster than 99% of the cars I see on the road.

Its paid off now, but I still love this thing! It looks great & the inside still feels crazy even now. I've modified mine so it still feels new & I've barely hit 65k miles now. I may end up boosting it w/ TTs instead of trading it in, because this is still my 1st car. I have memories in it that can never be replaced, & that has more value to me than what meets the eye.

I'll say it. V6 > Ecoboost. Ecoboost feels like a dog in it's stock form. V6 has a much better power band without waiting for a little turbo to spool. And if you boost a v6 diy style, you're pushing CRAZY street power and not trying to throw 30+psi at a little 2.3 litre for much money less than even a high mileage s550 GT. Not to mention the 3.7 is just as reliable as its counter-options.

I love my 17 gt. All the IRS suspension/6 speed shifting issues are easily fixed with simple mods, it scoots in the straights and the corners, and even a simple axle back muffler delete makes it sound awesome.
@@camarosaregay7943 the subframe bushings have slop around them. Just some delrin sleeves needed to take up the space between the bushings and studs. Also some bracing to keep the subframe in place helps. The shifter is body mounted from the factory instead of trans mounted. It makes for some missed shifts when driving aggressively. Also some people say the stock clutch itself doesn't help with that either
@camarosaregay7943 stock clutch spring is too strong (100 lb pressure) it can cause your foot to slip off the pedal especially when your shoe is wet. The stock shifter is too loose you can sometimes grind the transmission internals when shifting into gear (typically 3rd gear) i solved this issue by having a shifter mount installed now it feels much more solid no random grinding
I currently have a 2019 Mustang Ecoboost that I bought used with 4k miles on it and I absolutely love it. It was the perfect price and although it's not a V8, it's still got plenty of power and it shows on the road.
@@MatthewHouangvilay Alright, Matthew. You're right. I should've spent $50k instead of $20k and I might as well be a girl with a GT considering how I'd be getting fucked by gas prices. Dumbass.

I gotta say I’m a jdm guy. I was left a 20 economist mustang from my grandfather, Brand new might I add. He’s always been a mustang guy, trade it in etc. now when I found out it was mine I was shocked. Popped hood end was more shocked. Sat in it and drove it, I fell in love. It’s got the feel of a domestic with the feel of a grippy jdm car first off. Second they do have so many company’s backing this gen. I was able to highly modify it with almost anything I wanted and good fucking quality. I won’t own a Camaro as I’m a Chevy tech nor will I go thru mopar(no offense). This is best of both worlds. If your not sold drive on and play with the track packs, you’ll be sold
Coyote V8 is 5 stars awesome, MT82 manual trans is trash but swaps are available, the 15-17 year is the best looking mustang since the old Mach 1 and it also comes with forged connecting rods, boss 302 head castings and other miscellaneous boss 302 carry over parts. 15-17 is the way to go.
@@camarosaregay7943 - its driveable yea mine hasn't blown up yet at 60,000 miles. Its not the best transmission though prepare for intermittent loud clunk first gear shifts from a stop, and occasional miss shifts into either 3rd or 5th when performance driving. 1st to second shift seems like it takes longer than it should, the flywheel seems heavy so rev matching at least for me always seems like Im a couple hundred rpms too slow for a perfect rev match, like I gotta stab the throttle harder.
Just recently bought a Mustang Bullit 2020 in Shadow Black. My dream car and had to work 2 jobs to get it for 2 years. Had it for nearly a month now and cant stop smiling every time I turn that engine on and hear that lovely V8 rumble. Really want to do some minor tunes to it and maybe add a little unique touch to the way it looks but Unfortutnely I live in Jersey which is a small island off the coast of France. We follow UK and European laws here so it a damn pain to do anything to your car without them immediately making it illegal. None the less love the car
Oh so here’s what you do: get a V6 or Ecoboost. Take all the money you just saved and get a pro charger or turbo upgrade, port methanol injection and tires. Then air ride and wheels. Enjoy
lynex83 very ture. I don’t know how it is for the V6 but for the Ecoboost you need a whole port fuel rail and fuel management for it. Plus I don’t have access to E85 enough to justify running it as a daily
@@robo1000 I consider myself lucky when it comes to E85. There's two different places with it right down from where I live and there's another one on the other side of town next door to where I work. I wouldn't want to do any serious commuting on E85 though.
Gian And ecoboost with a big turbo could keep up with a gt and definitely be faster but only if the gt is stock, also, big turbo eco’s aren’t as reliable as it’s bigger gt bros. Just get a used gt if you want to build it, they aren’t as expensive as you might think haha. Ecoboost are def fun but they are a complete different platform. This is coming from a eco owner so don’t worry i’m not biased towards gt’s but you just can’t compare them to a lil eco :)
My frist car is a 2000s Ford Mustang that I named Brandon. Back in August he turned 20 years old and still ran like a dream then on the 28th of that same month a guy T-bone me in that car. So now Brandon(the mustang) is my project car and I plan to have him fixed up and back on the road in the next two years🐎. I cant wait to drive him again and just listen to his engine purr. (Especially because the car I have to drive right now is so quiet that I cant tell if it's on or not tbh😒)
My 16 mustang ecoboost is torn apart into a million pieces right now. Not because its broken ( Not the same for wallet!) but cuz I am having too much fun!
The first car I purchased was a s550 Mustang GT. I'm 3 cars past it and I keep finding my self comparing whatever I'm driving to it. Never should've gotten rid of it.
Yeah, this Mustang is great looking - You're right, it's the wide nose and slanted rear that make it similar to an early Datsun but so much more planted and serious looking! Love the looks but I have two kids and need four doors.
Didn't know I wanted one until I bought one. Just an ecoboost. All I wanted was a manual performance pack, with recaros. Comfy, economical, saves the fun cars for the weekend. Glad the team developed it quickly. Snuck a lot of quality in before the beancounters got wind of it.
Bought my 2017 GT brand new as a weekend toy/garage queen/modifying platform. I was never a mustang fan in the 90s growing up, the s197 started to grow on me, but once I got in an s550.... end of story. Great car .
Me too man! Been looking for a fun daily since last November, came down to the s550 mustang or a Genesis coupe. Going with the S550 tho because of the platform and price. I’m looking for the gt Premium tho with the auto 🤷🏾♂️
I have a 2017 V6 with twin turbo (after market) and I think I will add this car to my collection, primarily since I believe Ford won’t be making any more V6 mustangs.
dad, i mean alex, you hit this on the nose. this gen mustang is the only mustang i can get behind. as i have a 2018 gt lol. even tho it was 35k new, still worth every penny for a breand new car when i was 18. it is now on air and about to get some wheels. will be up on gallery once they are fitted.
Hope these go down in price until Im 18-19 so I can drive. The 05-09 and the 15-17 are the best looking Mustangs imo, especially the 15-17 they just look so simple, stylish, and sexy asf.
I am biased I own a 17 gt 350 but the s 550 is the best gen. Turned from a muscle car to a sports car. And finally the charger is the new crowd killer.
Most of what you said is about the looks is exactly why I’ll stick with my late model 197 the new ones look to European and less like a Mustang. I like the retro futurism of the 197 and wish they would remake the Foxbody with that same retro futurism feel. I do wish the 197s had the 550 engine advancements though.
Personally I like the 2nd generation of mustang, even if it was more of an economy car than a real muscle car but it's small and would make for a decent little sleeper car project.
One of my dreams (sorta related) is to swap this 2.3L ecoboost into a Miata. Mazda should have put this engine into that car a long time ago when they had the ecoboosts grandpa the 2.3L MZR engine.
I like my 2015 V6 but if I could afford it I would have gone with the V8. The ECO was never an option as they require premium fuel and I use my Mustang as a daily driver 80 miles a day.
@Calleseprro no issues, got mine with 73k now at 97k. This winter it's getting new front struts, trans fluid and filter change and rear end fluid change and hopefully headers
The Mustang was on my list, but I had to get a Scat Pack, which mine has independent suspension as well. I love the new Stangs, but the Challenger was speaking to me louder and if I would of got the Ford 1st, I believe I would of been beating my self up; GT350 will be my next though.
I want a mustang so bad but that insurance is gonna kill me(Just turned 20). The 5th gen with led taillights or the 6th gen before 2018 are my favorites.
@@liveandletlive2894 They probably don't have a whole lot of aftermarket support given how uncommon they are. But they are strong sleepers stock so for the most part you don't really need any performance upgrades.
@@dylanorr2127 pretty sure it's got an LS3 or some LS so all engine mods are available only question would be body mods but then it would lose its sleeper look
I love my ‘ 19 EcoBoost so much that if I were to ever get in a situation where I had to live in my car I wouldn’t even be mad! The only prob it’s ever caused me is a daily headache from having to decide if I want to drive it or my 1966 mustang
Bruh, it's not a great car to live in Trust me on that. Great car to drive but the seat doesn't recline enough and it'll get messed up laying up in it 18 hrs a day.
I know that, personally, I'm always hesitant to buy a used sports car. My assumption is that the previous owner beat the heck out of it--I know that I would of hot roded with it, if I had it. In looking at a used SHO, don't forget the expensive of changing its internal water pump.

Justin T. My 19 PP1 GT was 37k our the door of you can’t afford that that’s your fault not fords that cheap af for a new sports car
Christopher Cook right, then again for 37k you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck. I don’t see the problem here.
Lol! Well to be fair they still do make cars that fit that bill but the V8 Mustang is not one of them.
We need one for the 4th and 5th generation of mustang.

I love my 17 gt. All the IRS suspension/6 speed shifting issues are easily fixed with simple mods, it scoots in the straights and the corners, and even a simple axle back muffler delete makes it sound awesome.
I thought the irs is great? And what’s wrong wit the shifting and how u fix it?

It’s still hard to find a reasonably priced GT
Facts. I looked for a few weeks before finally pulling the trigger on 2015 gt premium track pack. Paid 26k for it low miles clean car. Think I got a good deal.
@@Nolifegaming That’s a great deal. I haven’t been able to find a 10spd at a good enough price and I’ve been looking for six or seven months now.
Riley damn 26k with how many miles
Is the mt82 that bad tho? Like I can’t drive fast bc it will break? I’m gettin one soon I wanna know
@@camarosaregay7943 - its driveable yea mine hasn't blown up yet at 60,000 miles.
Enjoy
Eh, Big Turbo + E85 is more than enough.
lynex83 very ture.
Would an eco boost with turbo run faster than a gt?

Love the looks but I have two kids and need four doors.
wtf are the 10 spoke wheels with the reflecting pink on it. i need.

Great car .
Started with Honda’s. Then had a brz. Then got a s550. I’ll never turn back!!
Make a whole episode of the gt350 just revving the whole time!!!!
From the date of this video I'm surprised he didn't mention the GT500. Least to say it competes with some of the competition in power.

dad, i mean alex, you hit this on the nose. this gen mustang is the only mustang i can get behind. as i have a 2018 gt lol. even tho it was 35k new, still worth every penny for a breand new car when i was 18. it is now on air and about to get some wheels. will be up on gallery once they are fitted.
Hope these go down in price until Im 18-19 so I can drive. The 05-09 and the 15-17 are the best looking Mustangs imo, especially the 15-17 they just look so simple, stylish, and sexy asf.

So you want SC300/SC400/SOARER
I am biased I own a 17 gt 350 but the s 550 is the best gen. Turned from a muscle car to a sports car. And finally the charger is the new crowd killer.
The GT350R is a muscle\touring car beast!!! That car can eat turns and rip straights! I'm a fan!
I gotta 2018 eco pp1 and I love it to death!! Even tho the ecos get hated on they hold their own for what they are.

Do it you won’t have one regret. Completely different animal. Just check your oil every time you drive a Shelby.
I like my 2015 V6 but if I could afford it I would have gone with the V8. The ECO was never an option as they require premium fuel and I use my Mustang as a daily driver 80 miles a day.
Have you had any issues? I just got mine with 80k miles but im just fearful it might give up on me
