Great video, i wish moro kept his old wizardry design though, he was just so unique in his first form. Also having a old man as a villian who uses his experience to take down more youthful opponents is cool. I love the goat grandpa
Hot takes but I actually like when his becomes younger looking. It's the like the more he changes from his older wiser self, the more egoistical and arrogant he became that leads to his own undoing.
We still got the wizard form and we saw it do some pretty interesting stuff. My hot take is that I like his final form, and hearing people dislike it is, to me, sort of like hearing people say "Cell should've stayed in his first form." The first form looks cool, but in a series like Dragon Ball "old man" is not going to carry you for an entire arc. The final design looks earnestly cool, and I have no problem admitting that. It's sleek and humanoid, but still keeps his demonic origins. I also like how they expressed Ultra Instinct in a really muted but noticeable way, using his fur as a basis.
Same. I love the idea of a villain that straight up cancels out transformations and forces Goku and Vegeta to be more creative. That should have stuck for the whole arc.
@@qua_xor3348bro what? so you’re saying if your family and teachers are dead and you had a chance to bring them back by basically going to fight with ALIENS you wouldn’t do it?
I especially prefer the manga version of Jiren since they don't try to make him a villain by shooting at Goku's friends. He's the hero of his own story, just forced to oppose ours.
@@realTGF Jiren could have had an arc where he realized that his job as a hero is to save everyone, not just the people from his past and then revived all the other universes
Personally I'd say it's Moro and Goku Black are two of my favorite villains from Dragon Ball Super, but also some of my favorite DBZ villains of all time. Moro was a subversion to the conventional power spectrum of DBZ, he initially didn't follow the steryotype of the next major antagonist being stronger than the previous one but rather he's an explanation to unique magical capabilities in DBS but also the fact that it said multiple times that Goku and Vegeta could've bested him anytime in Blue but through trickery and longterm planning he got as strong as he did.
All these years later and i STILL dont see the hype behind B.A.B.Y especially since him taking over the z warriors was easily avoidable and the guy was really petty and very powerful without much context
@@NoName...... oh great one absorbs people with its anus and the other one turns them into candy and the last guy is fan service to people that enjoy vore, give me a break
Moro did take the now a pattern approach of DB villains absorbing and eating for power in a cool more interesting approach through him basically using his own power system within the verse alongside giving it a passive effect making it more dangerous even for those who out power him. The correct way to reuse old idea, give them a remix. Dragon Ball is a franchise that does rely on reusing concepts in new ways so him having similarities to previous antags is very understandable, Cell is most obvious but that's not a bad thing especially as he did take similar things in new directions that reflects his character and power set (and best dead villain to take inspiration from). And for his 7 3 version I do wish that alongside gaining more usual for the verse features that he basically ate a copy of himself it also ended up giving him even more demon goat features like a second pair of Mini horns in a "the devil may make himself look better but the darkness is still grows", but that would have been quite a time investment to draw so I can understand it being the streamlined version. The Goat and the mortal hater duos are certainly the stand out examples of Supers new villains.
I love Moro, I'm just bitter because they had such a unique concept which was slowly derailed into something completely different. A magic-based villain who forces Goku and Vegeta to fight without transformations? It would have solved the issue of having to make every villain stronger than the last, since the obstacle isn't Moro's strength but his abilities. But then Moro turned into a more generic strong guy, his magic practically vanished. Moro 73 is not BAD, but what we had before was much better.
Thank you, I found it really annoying when people say he is a copy of Cell, whilst ignoring context. Even the people who say this don't really understand their arguements/outrage
Anime Zamasu clears Moro pretty hard in my opinion. The cloudy tea scene is the most succinct and intriguing establishment of a DB villain we’ve ever gotten outside of Frieza’s “fireworks” scene.
I know this is a hot take but zamasu is one of my least favorite dragon ball villains while yes the team scene is great he seemed petty for the most part and couldn't see past the blindness of his ways he's not a bad villain by any means just not my favorite and I would rate moro much higher
I think Moro is a great villain, I just really don't care for his final design, and personally I think he's a big reason most people want dragon ball super to get another anime season he's without a doubt, the goat(pun intended) of the current super manga material
Although I do agree that Moro is the best DBS villain, I personally think that Elec and (specifically manga) Jiren are pretty underrated as dragon ball antagonists.
I think Gas is underrated as well. Like I get why, it's partially intentional after all, but I think he's clowned on harder than needed. People tend to miss why he's the roadblock that he is.
@yumin_pluto558 When reading the Granolah arc, I mainly saw Gas as Elec's muscle since everything Gas did was in service to Elec. In my eyes, I think Elec is the actual main villain of the arc since he's essentially responsible for almost everything that happens. It's just that he prefers to have others do his dirty work for him.
@@J-zf9gu Goku vs Gas is legit one of my favorite fights in the whole series. Goku's quote after he discovers the truth about Bardock and the Heaters, right before he fights Gas is so cold. "For Ultra Instinct to work, I need my heart to be calm and tranquil... and believe me, my heart is not calm now."
@@yumin_pluto558gas being used by elec and elec betraying him by sacrificing his life to try and artificially force him to be the strongest is such a great moment
Frieza is also a foil to Goku in that he embodies pure talent. Vegeta served that purpose while functioning as a rival to Goku, but Frieza was the embodiment of that concept because Goku had to work his way up to Frieza's level through a combination of his hard work and innate talents as a Saiyan
Not talent just innate power. Vegeta is what I'd call talented since he was trained since he was a baby, just like Neji. A mixture of latent ability plus training = talent.
@@michaeleanthonyjr Talent is basically defined as being able to do something others can't do such as create a supernova on a finger tip, which Frieza can easily do. But talent isn't defined by innate power alone it's defined by bringing out latent abilities through dedication. Which is why Vegeta, who was born with great power, is a good example because if he stuck with his innate abilities it wouldn't really matter. There's a reason you don't call a singer with a nice voice untalented even though they had to go to singing school. Being the strongest in the universe but not even knowing your max power will drain your stamina isn't an indication of talent it's just an indication of power, if he was talented he'd know what he's doing with his own body. So I'd say Frieza embodies pure power more than anything. Frieza was a wall that kept growing and no one could get through and Super Saiyan was the battering ram. It wasn't about skill vs talent it was power vs power.
@@cairnethunderhoof6225 You're mixing up definitions. Talent is defined as Natural Aptitude or skill. This can mean something like the ability to obtain power, the ability to sing, or the ability to fight proficiently. Frieza was able to obtain levels of power in 4 months that were on par with Goku and Vegeta who trained for years. Not knowing the limits of a newly developed ability that he made hastily and then immediately went out to test, is not a knock against his talent because he still achieved that form with relative ease. All it points to, is that he needed more time to understand his power. But let's not shift the goalposts of what it means to have talent by excluding power as a form of talent. If you want to argue that Vegeta is more skilled Tham Vegeta, then that's fine, but you can't say Vegeta has better talent than Frieza *because* he is more skilled. Talent is about a person's natural ability to do things and it's a combined measurement of the input and the output. Frieza's input to output ratio vastly outclasses every other character in the series
@michaeleanthonyjr Bro you're typing essays about semantics. Talent is not simply defined as what you're born with it's included in that but also mixed in with what you make of what you're born with. I'm not reading all that lmao. A person who is first seat in a symphony is not less talented than someone who was born with the ability to read music. There's latent talent and there's talent that's realized period. Having great power at birth doesn't make you a genius and needing to train a talent doesn't mean you're not talented
I loved the Moro Saga. It was the greatest Arc that Super had and I especially loved how Moro was different, he had different abilities and techniques like his magic and I like how both him and 7-3 didn't start out stronger than the Z-Fighters and I most especially like how they utilized the other Z-Fighters in the Moro Arc. However, there were some things that I felt like are missed opportunities that they could have touched upon; 1. In Moro's backstory it said that he ate 320 planets or somewhere within that range, and Frieza and Majin Buu killed trillions of people, and Supreme Kai before the Tournament of Power said that there was only 28 planets left in Universe 7, but Moro said that life managed to spread while he was imprisoned, and that I don't get. Did he whip out so many planets that less than 28 were left? I think that they could have done something there like if with th Tournament of Power and mortal levels that Beerus and Shin of Universe 7 worked to bring up their mortal level so there is now more than 28 planets in Universe 7 so that it can have more races and possibilities to see new characters and new species with unique physiology and powers and techniques and abilities and other things like that. 2. Moro sensing the Dragon Balls on Namek, I believe that they could have done something like that where when his ship was on Earth near the lookout he actually sensed the Earth's Dragon Balls on the lookout and he and Sagamdo go to the lookout first and trash the place and kill a few of Goku's friends and gets the Earth Dragon Balls and has it on his ship for insurance aside from 7-3. 3. 7-3 had both Gohan and Piccolo's powers in him along with Moro's powers when Moro absorbed him which is why Moro would use extended arm technique like he did against Merus, and the Special Beam Canon that he used to shot Piccolo with, but he didn't really use Gohan's copied powers, at least not that I can see, and I feel like that was a missed opportunity that they could have touched upon, like if Moro had Gohan's copied powers in him and he uses his magic to enhance those powers and unlock more of Gohan's potential in himself like Old Kai did for Gohan with his magic, except Moro's magic is much faster, and he becomes way more powerful. I feel like that was a missed opportunity. 4. I might be bad for saying this, but I wanted Goku to die, like Moro has a whole arm through his chest, Goku had a whole through his chest, his lung is gone, maybe his heart depending on which chest that is, and I didn't think that Dende could heal that. However, I did wish for Goku to die and that would leave Vegeta or someone else to save the day, maybe Vegeta, or maybe Majin Buu, like if Moro fuses with the Earth again and as Vegeta said he is draining him faster than he can separate Moro from Earth, but then Majin Buu comes and they make a plan where Majin Buu absorbes Vegeta and he gains Forced Spirit Fission and because of Majin Buu's magic he is immune to Moro's power absorption just like on Namek and so Majin Buu successfully separate s Moro from the Earth and Majin Buu absorbes Moro in order to seal in the angel power that Moro has so that puts Majin Buu up there with the gods. Maybe something like that.
Moro went from having a really cool design with his old Goat man form into looking like Perfect Cell from TEMU. So much of Moro Arc is just retreads of the Cell arc but done worse.
I do thing they kinda fumble moro near the end But if the anime continues its own canon like it did before if we ever get super 2 I hope they can change up a couple things
Cell Max is okay. He's a force of nature villain designed to let the story focus more on the surrounding characters than the character of Cell Max himself. Force of Nature villains are under-appreciated, but I also understand entirely why people would dislike Cell Max due to retreading old ground and having no character
While I agree that force of nature villains are under-appreciated, I do not like Cell Max. I think the point of other characters getting the spotlight would be valid if the Super Hero arc was actually good. Furthermore, I think there was no reason for him to have any connection to Cell whatsoever, I kinda view him as a bastardization of the original character. Nonetheless, I appreciate your stance an I think unsympathetic villains who are mindless monsters can be pretty cool, Cell Max just isn't one of them (for me).
@@toughmangaming8275 I agree. I get the impression that Cell Max exists for the purpose of the rhyme of storytelling involved in the Super Hero arc with recurring motifs borrowed from previous arcs. I wouldn't say that he has no reasons to be connected to Cell whatsoever, but I do think there was every reason that he should have been a uniquely designed individual creature since his creator was clearly a different thinker than Gero and has different design sentiments. I also agree that the Super Hero arc wasn't all that good either lol.
@@toughmangaming8275 Instead of arguing anything I disagree with in your statement, I'll just say that Cell Max is based on Cell X. He is a Dragon Ball Online character that was also a mindless recreation of Cell by a revived Red Ribbon Army. A lot of ideas that Toriyama wrote for Dragon Ball Online got reused in Dragon Ball XenoVerse/Heroes or Super. Cell Max is one of those reused ideas.
What I liked most about Moro was that he gave me Super Buu vibes, which is my favorite Buu form. He was evil because he freaking loved being evil, and just kept getting stronger by eating and making strategies
I think it would add some new things if they have made Moro into some sort of grotesque Cyber Magician after he absorbed 73 so he like have some sort of metal like animal skin with weird magic technology rather than just powered up version like Cell Perfect form
Huh, so I knew the bullet points but this video for sure inspired me to go pick up and read it myself. Not that I thought it was bad before just hadn’t been sold to go read it myself until now
Fantastic video man. Absolutely agree with you. I saw someone say in the comment section that they were lazy for "reusing" namek, and I just can't understand How you can read this arc and come to that conclusion. We have 30 years worth of history built up with the namekians, and moreover, they were extremely crucial as both a representation of pure innocence and a representation for Vegeta's evolution. I understand that a new race would be cool, but it just would not have the same weight and feeling as the namekians give. Plus we now have daima so come on 😂😂😂
treating his underlings like livestock isn't unique to Moro actually, Dr.Lychee does the same thing to the ghost warriors in plan to eradicate the saiyans, also Babidi kinda did that too. the biggest difference is the direct threat doing it, not the creator of the main threat like Dr.Lychee and Hatchiyack, or Babidi and Buu. straight up the ghost warriors die, and Dr.Lychees like "welp, more power to activate Hatchiyack." (Hatchiyack is also unfairly compared to cell btw) hedonism doesn't just show up for Moro and Majin Buu, Janemba from Fusion Reborn is hedonistic in the sadistic sense, one of his many traits the fandom ignores for some reason. as for deceptive appearances; the following characters also did this in different ways Baby, Janemba, Majin Buu and Frieza. Moro only explores a path that no other character has touched before which good for Moro, he gets a gold star because he tried also could have given him digitigrade legs and a goat tail (yes goats have tails, they have bobtails to be specific) to fix the similarities to other villains, while making it clear it's still Moro and he's still animalistic. boom instant fix that will fix most people's problems. also some species of goat do have tear markings, such as mountain goats (I will make a full fan design fixing my personal gripes if I have to) really I'm just disappointed he's only goat in looks alone, because you could have made him a bit more different from Cell, Buu and a bunch of other characters with that. (seriously I have an entire oc half based off of that for zelda, I would know) TLDR: you forgot some things in your explanations, and it weakened your point a little
I watched a video a while back where he was basically explaining that moro was a large majority of the villains of the past and then turned to 11 sort of as the ultimate evil

Moro being an ancient creature with an evil legacy is an archetype familiar to DB, whereas Zamasu was about as close to a series-original villain concept as anyone could realistically expect. I think there’s creative credit distinctly owed to Zamasu’s writing that puts him in the conversation for best DBS villain, in spite of falling somewhat short in execution. Moro is heavily derivative of King Piccolo, Bibidi/Babidi, and Buu in terms of overall concept, and also borrows heavily from the likes of Yakon and Cell.
I personally love ALL of Moros designs. His 7-3 form still keeps the horns and fur which i love but design is very subjective. For me it feels like a classic Toriyama design and for that im all for it.
As someone who read the Moro Arc after the fact, those who read it by monthly release are really over-focused on things that aren't very similar. Getting to consume it in its entirety was much different.
This story solidified why vegeta is my favorite character, when Moro was about to eat the child namekian and vegeta stated he wouldn’t allow another namekian to get hurt or killed while he’s still alive, vegeta the 🐐
Man Gas is just endlessly frustrating. A really good starting point for the character as a kid with no real agency but fucking disintegrates 10 seconds after his first turning point
I largely agree with this video. When I saw Moro seeing Gokú when he was trying to locate him through his Ki, it sent a chill down my spine. I knew Moro meant serious business. BTW, yes, Moro represents hedonism. And why is that? Because Moro represents Satanism. You'll see--even the name is based on Moloch, a Jewish Canaanite Deity which required sacrifices, and it was represented as what? As a 2 horned anthropomorphic figure, sometimes as a bull, sometimes as a goat. In fact, Baphomet (the Mendes Goat) is the design cue for Moro. Satanism is the ideology of extreme egotism, hedonism, complete disregard for other's well-being, and the unceasingly pursuit for supreme power to dominate others regardless of the cost in lives and resources. Moro is the representation of the opposite, adversarial (Ha-Shatan, Satan) force of the universe.
I also think Moro doesn’t see himself as a hedonist he constantly talks as though he needs to eat to survive and that the things he does are nothing personally and purely for his survival
I also think he mirrors goku in this way with them both being controlled by their desires goku for combat and Moro to feed where as goku still try’s to better others Moro just eats
I just wish he died to Vegeta. Either he should've died in chapter 61, or save him for after MUI. The entire arc sets Moro up as *_Vegeta's_* villain. He was the protagonist of this arc. If you wanna give Goku his win, the granolah arc sets that up way better. Also Goku learning about Bardock would've been a way better trigger to achieve MUI than Merus's sacrifice.
Yea but you forgot to mention how similar the traits of OG DB's Demon King Piccolo has. It's a way closer vibe to Moro than even cell. An old frail character claws his way towards reaching his prime, sadistically laying waste to all his enemies etc. Using his children like Drum/Tambourine/cymbal to systematically murder the protagonists as his army. So I don't fully agree that Moro is this unique take on a DB villain. The similarities are just to apparent
Personally, I still don’t really like Moro. He was cool at first, and his magic is pretty decent. But that’s about it for me. Once he started fighting hand to hand combat, I didn’t care. His magic is just manipulation and absorbing. I think he is the best Super villain in both anime and manga, but it isn’t saying much. Tao Pai Pai was pretty fun villain l. King Piccolo was the first major villain who had a big first impression by making the master martial artist fear of his return. He doesn’t have a unique personality but I think like Moro, he is pretty smart. Raditz puts down everyone thought to be the strongest (Gokou & Piccolo Jr), Vegeta was an arrogant little snot who kept surviving attacks like the Genkai Dama, but his dynamic with Gokou was also what made him intresting. Freeza didn’t do much until he fought Nail, and then Vegeta, and showcased just how much of a menace and how evil he is. Cell was my favorite, he was very crafty, and had a build up to where he kept absorbing towns until he overpowered Piccolo Jr, where prior he was a little weaker to him. He went from crafty to desperate, and used his knowledge and things that help him achieve his goal. Then when he had all the power, he wanted a challenge and hosted his own tournament named after himself, while referencing King Piccolo being on television. He made a similar mistake to Vegeta by wanting Gohan to unleash his power, but it backfired and he then made the same mistake Trunks did when he went Grade 3 Super Saiyajin, and he even called him out and mocked him before announcing the tournament. Then he becomes desperate when he’s at the losing end, willing to sacrifice himself just to not get beaten by Gohan. To me, Cell is the best and has so much going for him. Moro is just a crafty evil villain but that’s all I can say. He had potential. Granolah, I don’t really care. Same with Gas too, that whole arc was a mess in my opinion.
When I saw that his design became more human as he gained his final form it reminded me of how, in some Buddhist beliefs, shapeshifting animals will attempt to become more human in order to reach enlightenment, as humans are the closest to enlightenment
I think if Toppo was the main antagonist of the TOP, he would have been the best So much you could do with a truly good person, who's forced to become a destroyer for what he perceived as the greater good.
in your comparison with cell you forgot the introduction to cell´s first form. this version of cell was sinister and planned ahead, not just striking at opportunity. also the absorbing of lifeforce is more similar to this version of cell than majin boo. also some of the things you talked about, or showed in the panels reminded me of demon king piccolo. one of the iconic villains from the original dragonball series
There's no way you actually think Gas was the main villain of the Granolah arc. It's very clearly Elec who is the main villian, as he with the help of his gang who he commands deceives Goku Vegeta and Granolah, causing them to fight eachother. Also 99% of what Gas does is a result of Elec's commands. The only reason Gas is even as strong as he is, is because Elec betrayed him sacrificing his life so that he could be the strongest and kill who he wanted killed. Elec is the puppet master of the entire arc, constantly manipulating the cast to get his way. Still gets one shot in the end tho
I was with you then you sorta lost me in the originality section. In my mind Frieza, Cell, and even Vegeta had a focus on hedonism in some fashion. Frieza was the strongest (except Beerus and Buu) since birth and he didn't need to train to rule the universe he could conquer planets and sell them or kill anyone without any challenge until he learned of the dragon balls on Namek he had no goal other than to do what he wanted similar to Moro and immortality was simply a means to an end to ensure he could continue his life hedonistic life style. Vegeta like Frieza just did what he wanted although he worked for Frieza he largely did whatever he wanted conquering planets slaughtering billions with no grand goal other than getting revenge on Frieza once he thought he became a super saiyan on Namek. Cell's life goal was to obtain perfection and once he obtained it he like the others did what he wanted once he no longer had a goal setting up a tournament for fun just to test his new power. Now the others and Buu being hedonistic doesn't invalidate Moro since his brand of Hedonism is somewhat unique with his theme of absorbing planets I just feel overall that doesn't make him completely unique compared the others since the other villains had some hedonism to them. Same for Moro making back up plans or being cold and ruthless to his soldiers Frieza, Vegeta, Cell and even Buu (technically Super Buu) did those things. As for the Devil vs Angels stuff you've stated in past videos you will present interpretations of the story you believe in even if they weren't intended so although I don't think Toriyama or Toyataro were going for a Lucifer vs Angels/God thing I can't just say you're wrong or disagree on that completely. Pretty sure goku's journey of gaining strength from hard work and the connections he's made is a foil to the others as well not just Moro. Frieza didn't train his whole life and just bullied the weak, Vegeta same as Frieza he even mocked Goku's methods of training when they first met and continued to deny it by only relying on zenkai boosts until post Namek, Cell like Moro got everything from taking by absorption, Buu was the incarnation of Evil but thanks to Goku's choice of saving Mr. Satan instead of gohan ultimately was what allowed him to defeat buu etc. While Moro's beat down of the z fighters was certainly more brutal (especially on Goku) compared to modern antagonists I wouldn't say it's the worst they've gotten compared to Beerus, Jiren, and other antagonists. I disagree saying it was Goku's victory against Moro while yes him choosing to wish for Buu to be reincarnated was what allowed him to win it's just a fact without Vegeta's forced spirit fission and everyone else's help he wouldn't have won. Like you I don't have a problem with 73 Moro while I wish he kept his Goat like face it isn't a deal breaker, to me the better choice would've been for 73's Gem to just appear on Moro's head and body not changing his face at all then I'm sure no one would've complained or at least not as much. This is not me trying to say "Moro is not unique or original in any shape, way, or form" I just don't think he's as original/unique as you presented him in this video as like I explained many of the things you praise Moro for was done in some form by Frieza, Vegeta, Cell, and Buu but he's still one of the better antagonists of Super.
I mean I think moro was heavily meant to be the ultimate evil as he basically did something at least one villain from the past did and cranked it up to 11 him being the devil in a sense isn't that far out as demonic entities are usually depicted as a humanoid goat or a goat
@@Nathan24634 Again Buu is also the incarnation of Evil and he did things past villains did as well not exactly like them but at least in some form.
Goku Black is nearly perfect, they only failed the delivery, the manga Improved him but there are still some details that need to be improved upon
they reused the concept of villian absorbing others not once, not twice, but THREE times. FOUR if you count baby vegeta.
Different type of absorption
@@NoName......still constantly reusing it
They also started the arc by reusing the concept of the villain wishing to regain their youth from the Demon King Piccolo saga in the OG Dragon Ball.
So mad this isn’t animated yet- so excited for Diama but truly don’t get why they can’t do both
One day.
bro they do not have the capacity to do that if you want the animation to be good
@@reaprsxo it has been quite literally 6 years if they wanted it they would have done it
@@felixwilson2917 wasnr exactly clear what was going to happen to dragon ball after super
@@reaprsxoAside from the fact that we know they wanted the manga to get ahead
Personally I like Goku black/Zamasu more and their my favorite

Oo he your favorite. Goo gaa baby wants milk.
Moro has been the legit GOAT from Start to Finish in his arc. He's one of the more refreshing villains in Modern Dragon Ball.
Nawl Moro clears zamasu
I completely disagree as a villain he doesn’t challange goku nor change him re read the Moro arc and you will see how leaks especially it’s ending
Also I think the manga goku black arc is better
I think Moro is a great villain, I just really don't care for his final design, and personally I think he's a big reason most people want dragon ball super to get another anime season he's without a doubt, the goat(pun intended) of the current super manga material
Seeing Moro in color makes his 7-3 form look a bit cooler i gotta admit

@cairnethunderhoof6225 The definition of talent is natural aptitude or ability.
Great video! Moro is the literal GOAT of Super!!!
I loved the Moro Saga. It was the greatest Arc that Super had and I especially loved how Moro was different, he had different abilities and techniques like his magic and I like how both him and 7-3 didn't start out stronger than the Z-Fighters and I most especially like how they utilized the other Z-Fighters in the Moro Arc. However, there were some things that I felt like are missed opportunities that they could have touched upon;
Damn you just gave me a whole new appreciation for this guy
I wish they hadn’t messed with moros design getting rid of the goat look
I 100% agree with the title, I adore the literal GOAT and always have, easily my favourite villain in the series
Moro went from having a really cool design with his old Goat man form into looking like Perfect Cell from TEMU. So much of Moro Arc is just retreads of the Cell arc but done worse.

But if the anime continues its own canon like it did before if we ever get super 2
I hope they can change up a couple things
I’m really hoping if we ever get a manga version that him and goku UI fight last longer before he becomes the planet seemed short lived
I doubt they’ll change it up seeing how the initial super anime was airing while the same manga arc was being created.

What’s so bad about the Superhero arc? It’s actually fantastic.
@@toughmangaming8275 Instead of arguing anything I disagree with in your statement, I'll just say that Cell Max is based on Cell X. Every Moro design are well done and I hope his arc gets animated one day.
Personally I think Moro was my Favorite Villian in Dragon Ball Super’s Manga.
What I liked most about Moro was that he gave me Super Buu vibes, which is my favorite Buu form. He was evil because he freaking loved being evil, and just kept getting stronger by eating and making strategies
Both Moro and Granola were pretty awesome. Hell, I even liked Gas because he gains a lot when you consider him a package with his older brother.
Not that I thought it was bad before just hadn’t been sold to go read it myself until now
Great video major props to you
Fantastic video man. Plus we now have daima so come on 😂😂😂

treating his underlings like livestock isn't unique to Moro actually, Dr.Lychee does the same thing to the ghost warriors in plan to eradicate the saiyans, also Babidi kinda did that too. the biggest difference is the direct threat doing it, not the creator of the main threat like Dr.Lychee and Hatchiyack, or Babidi and Buu. straight up the ghost warriors die, and Dr.Lychees like "welp, more power to activate Hatchiyack." (Hatchiyack is also unfairly compared to cell btw)
hedonism doesn't just show up for Moro and Majin Buu, Janemba from Fusion Reborn is hedonistic in the sadistic sense, one of his many traits the fandom ignores for some reason.
as for deceptive appearances; the following characters also did this in different ways Baby, Janemba, Majin Buu and Frieza. Moro only explores a path that no other character has touched before which good for Moro, he gets a gold star because he tried
also could have given him digitigrade legs and a goat tail (yes goats have tails, they have bobtails to be specific) to fix the similarities to other villains, while making it clear it's still Moro and he's still animalistic. boom instant fix that will fix most people's problems. also some species of goat do have tear markings, such as mountain goats (I will make a full fan design fixing my personal gripes if I have to)
really I'm just disappointed he's only goat in looks alone, because you could have made him a bit more different from Cell, Buu and a bunch of other characters with that. (seriously I have an entire oc half based off of that for zelda, I would know)
TLDR: you forgot some things in your explanations, and it weakened your point a little

I was just bringing in a seperate reasoning I personally think it makes sense for moro to almost be like this merging of the previous evils to me he just screams evil in a way no other villain ever really did before besides maybe demon king piccolo but even then I think I would still give it to moro
And yes Buu is evil incarnate but even then it moreso seemed like he was meant to be a child if we use kid Buu evil without direction while moro is just evil the greatest evil in the universe as can be implied from him being juxtaposed to the gods almost directly challenging them even disregarding him fighting the grand supreme kai which to me was meant to be the ultimate good in the universe but he stands against the gods and has no fear of their power and knowingly fights against there whole shtick of creating and fostering life by destroying life and feeding on it indiscriminately all for the sake of his enjoyment and pleasure that's what I mean when I call him the ultimate evil
Moro getting animated would fuck so hard the man is a literal space wizard and his magic is these hands and let me copy that
I really hope the anime comesback and adapt this arc way better then Granola arc
Your spitting I personally like Moro he’s very cool
Moro being an ancient creature with an evil legacy is an archetype familiar to DB, whereas Zamasu was about as close to a series-original villain concept as anyone could realistically expect.
I think there’s creative credit distinctly owed to Zamasu’s writing that puts him in the conversation for best DBS villain, in spite of falling somewhat short in execution.
Moro is heavily derivative of King Piccolo, Bibidi/Babidi, and Buu in terms of overall concept, and also borrows heavily from the likes of Yakon and Cell.
Zamasu is just following kabito’s original feels towards mortals
I personally love ALL of Moros designs. His 7-3 form still keeps the horns and fur which i love but design is very subjective. For me it feels like a classic Toriyama design and for that im all for it.
Another video drop let’s go!
As someone who read the Moro Arc after the fact, those who read it by monthly release are really over-focused on things that aren't very similar. Getting to consume it in its entirety was much different.

How can one be better than perfection?
I also think Moro doesn’t see himself as a hedonist he constantly talks as though he needs to eat to survive and that the things he does are nothing personally and purely for his survival
I also think he mirrors goku in this way with them both being controlled by their desires goku for combat and Moro to feed where as goku still try’s to better others Moro just eats
Alright, I'm gonna say it.
Moro is Tirek.

Moro: mmmbeeeeeee 🐐
Cmon Goku Black/Zamasu is definitely better than this guy
When I saw that his design became more human as he gained his final form it reminded me of how, in some Buddhist beliefs, shapeshifting animals will attempt to become more human in order to reach enlightenment, as humans are the closest to enlightenment
Can you do a video on gohan’s ultimate form, I don’t really understand it

in your comparison with cell you forgot the introduction to cell´s first form. this version of cell was sinister and planned ahead, not just striking at opportunity. also the absorbing of lifeforce is more similar to this version of cell than majin boo.
also some of the things you talked about, or showed in the panels reminded me of demon king piccolo. one of the iconic villains from the original dragonball series
Wish they'd make an arc where Goku is reverted to DBe01 level strength for a few episodes
I dont see Gas as villain. I see Elec as the villain of the arc and Gas was just a tool.
Do yall read the manga in the characters voices? Cause I always imagined Moro’s voice as Kelsey grammar
I MUST CONSUME TOUGHMAN GAMING CONTENT
Watch this and “from goat to garbage | the wasted potential of Moro” for a more completed look of moro
Am I the only one who feels like Matthew Waterson (Voice actor of Magneto from X Men '97) would play a good Moro in the dub.
I’m sorry but Morro is just Cell as a wizard.
Like I said in my original comment I personally don't think Toriyama or Toyataro were intending for a devil theme for Moro but I won't deny it makes sense if you interpret Moro that way.
@@darktigersharkmax4432 I was just bringing in a seperate reasoning I personally think it makes sense for moro to almost be like this merging of the previous evils to me he just screams evil in a way no other villain ever really did before besides maybe demon king piccolo but even then I think I would still give it to moro
@@darktigersharkmax4432 i do see where you are coming from just wanted to bring my perspective and input in on the whole matter
@@Nathan24634 Yeah I'm not saying it doesn't make sense rather the fact he is a merger of past evils gives more credence to Moro not being wholly original since again like Buu he's a form of evil incarnate. Again this isn't to say Buu or any of the past villains are better or more original than Moro but I do understand where you're coming from and you're fine to share your input and I get your perspective.
If anything 73moro looks EXACTLY like piccolo, just check 13:12 . its literaly the same face with added lines and colour swap. Also Cooler(from the movie).

I LOVE MORO FUCK THE HATERS
I'd take a universe where they don't feed him a senzu bean or rip off the tsusanoo with no foreshadowing JUST CAUSE we need goku giant to fight a giant enemy even though he's already fought MULTIPLE GIANT SIZED ENEMIES at that size
The cell 2.0 accusations are definitely somewhat valid but way overdone
Until he stops being a cool magic goat and becomes cell
I mean granolah is kind of a more good hearted baby just with a different set of abilities.Granolah has no reason to not hate saiyans but thankfully he manages to put aside his differences with goku and vegeta once he finds out A:Vegeta took no part in the destruction of Cereal. And B:Goku is the son of the man who saved him.
I like the more goat looking version
Agreed.
The general kai was the first characters like moro before moro was create but kai was a goat villain.
DBZ fans: Did Goku just give the Senzu beans to Cell? Oh well at least he got called out on that and learned his lesson, right?
*When Goku does the same thing to Moro*
DBZ fans: ARE YOU KIDDING ME, GOKU!? HAVE YOU LEARNED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!?
