  • Hello Folks:
    I hope you are all doing well…
    Many of you have asked how I set the E-Steps on my V400. As you may know, Klipper does not use E-Steps like Marlin does. Klipper uses what’s known as Rotation Distance. Sounds confusing, but it really is not. Follow along in this video and you will become an expert in setting the E-Steps with your V400…
    As usual. If you have any questions, just leave them in the comment section.
    And of course, I want to thank my little girl Kaili for bring the great videographer for my video sessions !!!

    Hey Dennis, thanks for your great videos. I would like to perform the delta calibration on my V400. Can you make a video of exactly how to do this with Klipper?

    Hello from France .
    I am a newbie with new v400
    Your videos are of very good quality and very interesting.
    The correction is only good for the roll of wire tested. So do we have to redo a setting for other types of PLA, TPU etc and each time modify the saved value?

    • @dennisgignac5103
      @dennisgignac5103  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, once I have set it, I can change rolls as I wish. But if you change material type such as ABS, you might want to check it again...

    One question, I need to print large format pieces where print quality doesn't matter much, but time is pressing, I'm between the elegoo neptune 3 max and this one. Bearing in mind that this one may require sectioning off larger pieces and waiting for the glue to dry when joining them, I'll still be able to get my pieces faster with this one than waiting for it to print in one piece in the elegoo even if it has a .8 mm extruder? Thanks in advance for your time

  • @asutodd

    Would it be possible to do a video on how to adjust the extruder and e-steps on the stock Super Racer? I don't have a speeder pad for mine,

    Hi Dennis, please correct me if i'm wrong... you want to extrude 100mm and measured 103mm so the extruder moved too much filament to the nozzle. Shouldn't the value (in your case 4.5) be lower? About 4.4 or so? thx

    • @Michi_L
      @Michi_L ปีที่แล้ว +3

      you said 4:48 "let's say we measured 113mm" but you should have measured 7mm (marked 110mm - extruded 100mm - overextruded 3mm)

    Great Info! Thanks..its difficult to find good, simple instructions for Klipper. Now, how to save your Z calibrations on the Speeder Pad. After I set it and print, it is not even close to what was set through the pad.

    • @dennisgignac5103
      @dennisgignac5103  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no save button. It does saves automatically when you set the z...

    Thanks for this video. Tech support for FLSUN sent me the link to this video, just so you know. I was working the steps you outline and I noticed something on mine that's different from yours. I'm curious if you know what it means. In the browser, when I click on Machine, I have the same files as you plus over a dozen files named something like "printer-20230407_075209.cfg." The numbers change for each entry. There are a bunch from August 2022 - before we ordered the printer and then a bunch more after we received it in March 2023. Any idea what these files are? Can they be deleted?

    • @dennisgignac5103
      @dennisgignac5103  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can delete any files that are named this way. It is different dates that the printer config file was changed for some reason.
      Or, just create a folder and call it Old Files and put these files in that folder...

    Can you tell me if the v400 hot end assembly directly fits the sr? Or is the effector dimensions different? Thanks

    • @dennisgignac5103
      @dennisgignac5103  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not. You would have to do some derious wiring changes. But it will fit onto the arms...

    • @darrenvosper634
      @darrenvosper634 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisgignac5103 I think if you look at the connections on the V400 motherboard and the sr motherboard they are the same connections. so if you got a v400 complete hot end i believe you would just have to plug them into the main motherboard on the sr i heard the connections are the same. I believe the sr motherboard is actually a newer board version wise?

    Dennis I'm having a problem with the lights not working on my V400. They never worked from Day One. I've had my machine for over a year and I just connected FLSUN recently about the problem. Th3e FLSUN sign on front and the lights on the hotend never worked. Any suggestions to correct this problem.
