Love the Road Glide, especially the FLTRU. Fishing line is the secret to easily removing emblems affixed with double sided tape.
I opted to get a black reflector online. it looks black when you flash it it illuminates white

I’ve been trying to figure out how to remove the had bar on the tank of my street glide special and you just gave me the way up
i use plastic putty knife and a rag with zippo lighter fluid on it takes the glue off the tank dosent hert the clear cote then wash off with soap warm water let it dry hit it with some windex put the decal on did this on many bikes no problems dont smoke when you do this lol.

Very nice. I have the same bike. Was planning to do this. Wish you had captured the emblem and glue removal process on camera. Otherwise great look! Now that I know what the finished look is, I'm definitely going to do this also.
The removal process was not fun.. You have to be very careful with the vivid black..

use thee heat gun to make it hot but then you are going to want to use a fishing line to run behind the badging to take it off the tank. much easier and if you use a braided fishing line you have zero scratches.
It’s your canvas so paint it your way , personally while I don’t ride at night unless absolutely necessary, I like being seen any way at any time .

A flat black bar&shield would look sick
I ride year round and its pitch black when I ride to and from work . I also ride across Canada every year. I love the look but i can't make the odds of getting hit or killed any greater . In fact I have been adding reflective tape to my helmet and my bike.

I was also between the two...purchased a Road Glide Special, as it is much better in longer trips and the TWO HEADLIGHTS look FANTASTIC.

Just picked up a set of tank and Bag decals👌🏻 Bike is looking badass! Lose the stock bars and throw some 16” apes a Yaffe Drop block kit for the fairing and a 21” aftermarket Black Talon wheel with a wrapper front fender and that Bitch will be BadddddddAss 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻
You might want to check with your state DOT regs first. They are red to the rear, just like all other motor vehicles because it's the law.

Just wondering how the bar and shield decal has stood up to cleaning with a microfiber towel? I know sometimes decals will catch with wipe downs and start peeling up. Want to order these just wondering thanks.

Just bought the 2018 Road Glide Ultra and love it however, I'm only 5"10 and still have wind buffeting bad. Even installed the 15" Klocks Werks Pro Tour Screen and still having same problems, PLEASE PLEASE advise.... What wind screen is best to cancel most wind?

Super nice looking bike, looks great in Black! As a 1st Generation Road Glide owner (Evo powered) I am ALWAYS in awe of how far these bikes have evolved over the years. Here's my 95th Anniversary Road Glide which is 100% stock and unmolested with only 136,000 miles on her. I was fortunate enough to get the Chief designer of this particular model (Willie G) to autograph her last year while at Daytona.
